  1. You are dreaming if you think this wont spread... "Cherry pickers" for MOTUC might as well bend over now... Look No one wants day of sale prices to go up even if it's only $3.00 to $5.00 but the sad fact of the matter is Cost of raw materials to produce these figures have gone up along with other things. Bakeries have gone up on some items they sell due to their cost increase of flour. UPS and other shipping companies went up on their prices because of the high gas cost. Why is mattel supposed to have to keep the cost to us the same year after year? They have said they are paying more now for raw materials than in past years and having to pay the people more in china who make the figures so yes at some point the increased cost trickles down and gets passed along to the consumer "US" Now if it's only day of sale that sees the increase fine, if it finally hits subscriptions starting in 2013 then so be it. No one is forcing anyone to buy anything if they don't want to pay the price increase. Those of us who do still buy the product will just have to deal with it. Nothing is written in stone yet so we just have to wait and see what Mattel does in 2013.
  2. DC Universe Club Infinite Earths Update Mattycollector.com Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 3:06pm. Hi DC Universe Club Infinite Earths fans! We have some good news...the 2012 DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription program is moving forward! As you know, we did not hit the number of subscribers we were seeking for the club, but we know that there are some very passionate DC Universe fans, so we found a way to make the program work. Current subscribers will get 6" and oversized figures according to the schedule that was originally communicated at San Diego Comic Con and online. All figures that have been revealed will be part of the subscription program. In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised. And the even better news is that we are exploring re-opening the subscription program for a limited window of time. We've heard fans online posting that they wish that they had subscribed, so now you'll get that chance. Be on the lookout for more details and dates next week. We still have more good news, we are excited to reveal the winning club exclusive figure...Metron! So all of the subscribers will get their very own Metron, along with his Mobius Chair! All of this good news will hopefully mean a fabulous start to the weekend for all of the DC Universe fans! -FanGirl 2.0
  3. From The ask Matty forum: Toyguru Collector Supreme Posted August 24, 2011 11:32 AM If the DC sub goes through it will be at the advertised price. However, we are exploring the possibilty of higher prices for non sub holders who buy product day of (i.e. cherry pickers). This is similar to how magazines cost more at a news stand vs. having a subscription. This is only one of many options we are exploring based on the subscription numbers we got 60%-62% (less then the needed 100%) and is not at all the direction we are for sure going in. Right now we are just exploring many options to see if anything is possible to keep the sub alive based on the lower then expected sub interest. But for those who bought a sub, if the sub goes forward you are locked in to the advertised prices even if maybe possibly day of prices goes up slightly (1 or 2 dollars). If the sub is canceled, yes of course full refunds will be given for any charges!
  4. This really puts it all into perspective. http://dchallofjustice.com/news/?p=7346
  5. Rest In Peace Jackie Cooper. You gave me a lot of laughs with the Little Rascals You will be missed. http://youtu.be/btYWLHCjsco
  6. Happy Birthday bro! Have a great one

  7. I like the Legacy Vader with the removable helmet and mask. That figure is cool. Ball jointed elbow and knees the helmet snaps into place when the mask is on and the helmet does not fall off. Hasbro finally got this figure right. #US1#
  8. Well jj I only ended up paying for the Item at $14.99 no tax and Hasdbro refunded the shipping cost because they took seven days before they even shipped it out to me. They said they got a massive amount of orders all at once and seven days went way beyond the ships out in 24 hours for in stock Items so they refunded my entire shipping cost. Not a bad price and I didn't have to attend the comic con to get it.
  9. Just Ordered My SDCC Hasbro Exclusive Star wars Disturbance In The Force boxed set. from HasbroToyShop.com for $14.99 plus $5.98 shipping
  10. Just Preordered two of four new Evolution figure sets from Entertainment Earth. I orderd Vaders Secret Apprentice and The Sith Legacy. There is also the Fett Evolution and Evolution Of The Jedi. The two I ordered are the best of the four in my oppinion. Vaders Aprentince shows three stages he can go Aprentice, Sith Lord or Jedi. Sith Legacy has three sith and one of them is Darth Bane. Very cool looking. They are schedualed to be released in March of 08 but that can still change depending on Hasbro. @duel@@
  11. You answered your own question why no one is trying to be Batman. Also others have told you why no one is trying to be Batman. Why is is so hard to accept that as crazy as some people may be they don't live in a comic book fantasy land where they want to dress up like a super hero ane run around jumping off rooftops looking for crime to fight. There is copywrite infingment DC comics owns the rights to batman, federal agencies would get involved if anyone did do it and it invites the REAL nut jobs to become the Joker or worse. There are vigilanties out in the world who don't need costumes. They act in the way Charles Bronson did in all his death wish movies and they look like you and me. they just take the law into their own hands and that is wrong. You don't need a costumed crime fighter in the REAL world El Kabong. I know you really understand this so why keep saying but why couldn't someone try to be Batman? etc, etc. Yes those of use in this forum who said I would do it in a second if i could know they wouldn't really do it and it just sounds glamerous to think what if I could. The adventures I could have etc, etc. But we all have to stop daydreaming and come back to reality and live in the real world where Batman and all other super heroes only exist in Comic Books. Besides Bruce wayne didn't just deside to be Batman, He saw his parents murdered before his very eyes as a child and he had a huge fear of bats so he became the very thing he feared to instill fear into the low life thugs of Gotham city. That's why it won't work in the real world El Kabong. Bruce Wayne had something to prove. It makes for great reading and had been great reading and cartoons for many years. Let's leave Batman where he belongs. Do you have something against me, or this idea in general? I'm just providing interesting conversation amongst the many people who come to the board to share their love of DC Comics and it's related properties. You seem to be very negative when it comes to this thread. If I did something to offend you, I sincerely apologize. No sarcasim intended here. I know the internet does not lend itself to honesty all the time, but I'm really sorry if I did something to you to inspire this kind of treatment. There are several people who have responded to my original question and seem to be generally interested. They have each given lengthy posts on this topic, each one grounded in the real world. Moreover, the entire topic for all of these boards, be it He-Man, G.I.Joe, DC or Marvel are all about daydreaming. If we all went back to reality and left the fantastic behind there would be no magic left, no creativity, no sense of wonder. These boards would not exist. So, I apologize for still feeling like a kid and being a little immature at times. But that's who I am, and we're all a little like that inside. Otherwise we wouldn't be buying toys and reading comic books in the first place. So I'm going to continue to daydream and imagine a world full of impossibilities. You should try it some time. No I have nothing against you personally El kabong. I don't know you and I have nothing against you. To still be a kid at hart is great I too am a kid at heart or i wouldn't still collect action figures. If I offened you I'm sorry. I have nothing against a good converstation I guess it's the Idea you tossed out here of a real vigilante a screw loose person to really become batman that turned me off. The world is full of nutjobs and to think someone like that might acctually be a forum member reading this and going out and trying that stuff just didn't sit well with me. I love Batman and all the other superheroes El Kabong I just got turned off to the idea of a real Batman as for me it just takes away from the comics , Cartoons and toys. That being said please don't think I'm bashing you. I'm sure you are a very nice person. Sorry If my oppinion came off as negative.

  13. I was never too crazy about Salaciuos Crumb. Maybe if they make a poseable one and a new Jabba's thrown I would get it.
  14. Exellent. I liked it.
  15. I LIKE IT! @usa@ I have only one thing to say. ARMY BUILDER!
  16. Is there any more news on this? Who will carry it, when it will be available and SRP?
  17. I don't know. Maybe it's just me but that hilt looks kind of short. I hope for what they charge for these things that it isn't a short tiny saber.
  18. No I haven't knoticed the Joker on the packaging. Nect time I'll have to look closer at it. I hope Mattel gives us a JLU Joker.
  19. Awsome custom as usual. Keep them comming.
  20. Ok lets end this crazy topic once and for all. Batman is a fictional comicbook character not a real person. No one wants to be Batman. No one will be batman! This is a DC Comics TOYS forum El Kabong so lets keep the topics on the toys here and not a wild fantasy of a real life Batman that will never be. So, could you be more rude? I'm just asking a hypothetical question. Yes I know Batman is a ficitional character, although I doubt your "no one wants to be Batman" statement. Sort of a general presupposition of the entire human race. Kind of like saying no wants to eat steak. You can't just assume something like that. And yes this is listed as a DC Comics Toy forum, yet I see threads about the Richard Donner cut of Superman II, the release of the next JLU and Batman Beyond DVDs, and a thread about the Flash TV series DVD. They're not about toys and I didn't notice you trying to shut down those threads with such an inconsiderate post. And don't try to tell me you don't like this thread because it's asking such an impossible question. People ask questions about which superhero would win in a fight, and lots of other crazy situations that could never happen. So, if you're going to be rude don't say anything at all. It doesn't make you look any smarter. First off I'm not trying to look smarter than everyone on TNI. Second I'm being realistic here.True others do post threds not having to do with DC Comics Toys you're right, but unlike you at least what they talkabout is real. A move directors cut A new DVD that may be out that is superhero related but YOU El Kabong come out of left feild somewhere with a thred about "WHY NO BATMAN" You really think this world needs a person to dress up in a costume to go out and fight crime. That is Fantasy and not being realistic. As crazy as this worl may be I still think NO ONE really wants to be BATMAN and put his life on the line. anyone who says they would do it needs their head checked out. Sorry if My way of thinking offends you.
