  1. Cool Cool....even better to read about it first here....then that other un-named site. @hmmm@
  2. Good work....yet another reason to get up there early next year.
  3. I'm sure we'll all be here for the party when it happens. LMAO! I am glad I am not the only person who feels ornery today. Damn hisstank.....*grumbles*........ I supposed they ARE NOT good at HTS. @hmmm@
  4. Actually, this is the most excitement on TNI Joe section in a while.
  5. Cool, I'll support the cause! I look forward to seeing them Nov!
  6. Yeah, maybe it is time to invade another oil rich country! #tank# Bad joke, I know..... @hmmm@ You know.....one of the bad M.O.'s on Joe collectors is that we have a reputation for being very cheap. I can handle the increase, heck, we knew it was just going to be a matter of time before the other retailers followed suit. But I also realize, not everyone can budget the increase. The good news is that maybe product will be easier to find.....MAYBE. Ironically, $80 spread out over 12 months is $6.66 (repeating) per month. @firedevil@ What is $6 these days? Two days less of eating fast food lunch maybe? With the price of gas so high (and I am really not complaining about that because I have seen first hand what it is in Europe per liter), I've been brown bagging it more to the office. Yeah, I miss my two hour $15 Sushi lunches once a week, but in the long run, I can adjust. I don't collect any other toy really, so for me, it is worth it.....but believe me guys and gals, for those of you who can't, I COMPLETELY understand!
  7. I had most of mine setup, but between my PITA cat and the earthquake last week, the are all on their sides. @lol@
  8. It is 8 from Indy. A reasonable drive I think.
  9. That actually sounds like a good direct-to-video movie. I'D BUY IT! @hmmm@
  10. Roslin as Serpy made me spit out my Diet Coke! Nice!! I could see Katie Sackhoff as Lady Jaye. But beyond that, it may be a "reimage" of Joe too. That means Duke will be a chick!
  11. Hey Nov...you guys doin' shirts for JoeCon?

Yeah. I know. But I thought with computers and all, we were beyond that kinda cheap a$$ s***. I know thats how it was back in the day, but nowadays do we still got to roll that way? Come on, Dude! You don't have to follow EVERYTHING from 82! It's just a new HEAD!!! @hmmm@ Well, see, I choose to live in the past. I also enjoy rotory phones, booting up my TRS-80 with a 5.25" floppy DOS disk, and staring at my poster of Ronald Reagan. @smilepunch@ Chill out man, I am sure we'll see plenty of other new sculpts. Once again, Figg is right....cost and ease of production seems like the approach here.
  13. Lots of dealers, mostly selling old ARAH stuff. You would have done well completeing some of those vehicles. Some one had the Flagg for sale, it went for $400.00. There was a fair amount of 25th aniversary stuff for sale. The newest were the TRU and target exclusives which were for sale at very inflated prices. Eg. Hiss tank $9.99 in a target store, $20.00 - $25.00 a pop at the con. Good to know. If I get posted to Kingston or Ottawa next year (I hope!), I'll definitely make the trip down. We really need discounted air travel in Canada. There are carriers in Europe where you could make the equivalent trip for $50-100. Stupid Air Canada monopoly... HA! Maybe so, but I would never want to pay what Europe pays for gas. HOLY COW!

LMAO!!!!! Well, to be fair. The original Grunt shared a head with Grand Slam, and the same holds true today, which is also the 25th Flash head: http://www.yojoe.com/action/82/grunt.shtml http://www.yojoe.com/action/82/grandslam.shtml So it is technically acurate in a roundabout way. If you really wanted to have an accurate Flash, you could swap his head with the extra Hawk, from either the comic 2 pack or the Grunt pack and paint the hair, since that's the way it was: http://www.yojoe.com/action/82/flash.shtml I can see why Hasbro does not want to sink any cash into tooling for new figures on store exclusives. Is it perfect? No. But I have no doubt in my mind, we'd never see a Grand Slam, or a Grunt any other way. At least Grunt has a beard painted on. So I for one will take what I can get, but that's me. Figg is right, all or most of the original 13 shared common parts back in the day.
  15. For $2K, that is a start for some other more rare Joe items I would want. Whomever buys it better put it together!
  16. I'd like to see someone kitbash a drop down cockpit like the comic and concept art showed.

As our Canadian conventions are always held in April, you should be good to go for 2009 without a passport, if you are driving up. I know of at least 7 Americans that were at the show this year (not including Mr. Hama or Mr. Bellomo, that is) A passport is never a bad thing to have anyway, I believe right now you need a driver's license and a birth certificate to get over the boarder in lieu of a passport. Since I don't know where my birth certificate is, a passport is the way to go for me. Seriously thinking about making the trek down for some cons in the U.S. Awesome. Thanks for the info guys!
  18. How many yankees made the trip? JOhio is thinking about it. I have my passport because of work. I've been to Toronto about a half dozen times for work, so I know I need it to fly. Right now, I've been told, to drive, all you need is a photo ID. What about a year from now? Will we need passports then? I am trying to get some info for my group.
