  1. I don't mind the Kwinn we got, and am happy that we even got him. Besides, with the right head there, it won't take much for  joe customizer to place his head on a custom to get a more comic-accurate one.

I agree with that statement 100%. We'd been wishing for this fig since the 80's. At this point, I'd take what we'd got! :)

  2. Let me begin by saying I'm twenty years old. That means I didn't grow up in the days of Zap, Grunt, or a blond Hawk. I was introduced to G.I. Joe via endless replays of Sunbow episodes (then syndicated on USA's “Cartoon Express) and I lived through perhaps the most hated years of G.I. Joe. Characters like Big Ben, Mercer, Desert Duke, Metal-Head, Interrogator, and Cesspool ...subgroups like the DEF, Battle Corps and Air Commandos... that was my G.I. Joe.

As such, I'm willing the accept things like neon and sci-fi uniforms... within reason. The Mega-Marines were ##$%$#ed as all get out, to be sure. But for the most part, I can forgive it on figures like the Eco-Warriors and Ninja Force. I'm somewhat tasteless like that, I guess! What you wanna fight about it?

OH!! That explains it all then! Let me cross you off my "Certified Nut" list! :D @loll@

  3. Excellent! We're back to BT flaming. Since the con, this is my newest favorite past time!! Pile on folks and don't be shy!!

If everyday we had a new thread bashing BTs, the world would be a much better place. :D

  4. Damn I hate details.

    Evidently the CFB LOVES them.

Well.....we could be like, "You have to attend the con and have to be a member of the GIJCC" and end it there, but we decided to be more open, thus the length of the regs. Just because it is long doesn't mean it is restrictive. In discussions with Zod, we made it clear we want to be as all inclusive as possible.

  5. Why do you have to be an active member of the International GI Joe Collectors Club?

You don't....see under section 3, Exception Membership. However, since the group will have official meetings at the con, it is encouraged that you attend.

  6. I was there and bought all the goods(as well as took all the pics for this site). I would like to be a member, and hopefully Flint069 can sponsor me for membership #US1#

Check out section 1 of the regs. If you were there, you're in.....no sponsorship needed. Plus you would be a charter member (aka Founding Father). Join us at our next chat!....whenever that may be! :D

  7. I was asked to recap the first ever CFB chat last night. I won't post the whole text due to the fact that some four letter bombs were dropped......so, out of good clean fun, I'll just post the highlights.

Below are the highlights from the FIRST CFB Chat last night:

    In attendance were:

    GeneralZod

    Tazzzman

Lt. Falcon - who pushed back his date to chat with us!

    Skrarapz

    Nightcreeper

    gsmiley

    and yours truely!

If I missed someone, my bad!

    Business:

    Name Revision:

The group agreed that the word "crappy" may not be the best PC name. Suggestions on the table are: DOG (Defender of Gob.), which led to the Dogs of War suggestion......also DOC (Defender of Crap - is that right Tazzz??), and the original CBC (Crystal Ball and Friends Club). Any other members (or people wishing to join) with serious ideas, PM any of the above with your submission. We agreed that CFB will be our working name until a suitable one has been decided. No deep discussion was given on a Logo....so all talk was tabled until the next meeting.

    Membership Regs:

Some clarification was given on the proposed set. The proposed regs have been reposted for any further suggestions of additions and omissions. See my post in the main section with the proposed regs. Any current member needs to get suggestions to Zod or myself ASAP.

    New Business:

    None

On the agenda for the next TBA meeting:

Officers (General = Prez, Colonel = VP, Sec, and Sgt. at Arms) - All officers will hold office on a interim basis until a full vote at next year's con.

    Propose and form Committees:

Membership/Recruitment - Keep roster of current members, recruit new members and suggest amendments to the Membership Regs.

Website - Zod suggested automatic membership for anyone who puts together and administers the webpage.

Social - Plans the group get together at the next con. T-Shirts will be a project of this group.

Trade List - Adroq of the joesightings.com forum is already doing this.....so he is the man.....he has no choice! :)

    Old Business:

Pick and vote on a dam name that everyone likes!

Final vote on the Membership regs!

OK, that about sums it up other than a recap and photos from Falcon's date.

    Any ?'s....let us know!
