  1. Wow. I think She Hulk may have officially become my favorite.
  2. They're okay except for wolvie. I too am glad they didn't totally screw up JG. I'm not sure how anyone could "love" these considering all the room for improvement. Hopefully Hasbro learns from their mistakes and wave 3 turns out better but I'm not expecting it.
  3. I love the varient. It's much better. Although I like the original the wings really bother me.
  4. I hate to say that I agree. It's a shame because I'd love this wave if they came out looking like this.
  5. These are okay. I'm not thrilled with any of them but they could be worse. I wish they wouldn't use that light skin tone they're using on Quicksilver. It looks like the same ugly flesh tone they used on Emma and Banshee. They really need to do away with it. Just a minor gripe. As long as JG's face looks like it does in these pics I'll be happy.
  6. Once again, nice figures which need better paint applications. I do think there is a point to be made about the the cartoony look of some of them though comparing them to Superhero squad seems a little harsh. Black Knight is my favorite. I know people hate her but I do really like Rachel with exception of those sigma six joints (especially on the knees).
  7. I'm mostly okay with this wave except for JG. I'm really hoping that the face isn't final. It's sad that such a nice looking head can turn out so horribly with just a few bad paint aps. If it comes out like that I'll make the neccessary adjustments but I don't think I should have to when they were done right in some of Hasbro's own test shots.
  8. As long as Schumacher didn't direct it #US1# .
  9. This confirms...what we already knew? I'm confused. Looks more like a "stock" answer than anything else. I mean it isn't like they even said 15 different CHARACTERS. That is a big difference from 15 different FIGURES. As Draven, I think, pointed out, Snake Eyes version 2 is a possibility. And that would mean we would be getting 2 of the same character which would really suck (and I don't give a damn HOW well liked the version 2 is). For sake of argument that the 25 are all we are going to get, would anyone REALLY want "repeats" of characters when they had, roughly, a couple hundred characters to choose from? I'm with you 100% on this. I reaally don't want any repeated characters out of the initial 25. If it lasts longer than than it's okay as long as it isn't too often.
  10. If I had a nickel for everytime I heard that.... @loll@ Sad, but true @loll@ .
  11. Yawn. Just like the the pics from hasbro's site, these are very plain looking. I still like wave 2 but they really need to work on the paint ap's. These varients totally suck though. Oh, and if this picture is any indication, my JG had better not be cross-eyed.
  12. Okay, TB had plenty of QC problems (like EVERY toy manuf. does), but this is obviously an extreme (or maybe X-treme, lol) case, don't you think??? There are bad examples of all mass-produced products. You could go drop $30K on a car and get a lemon. You obviously got a bad figure...big deal. I've got 100+ loose figures in my collection and I have never had one single incident of anything breaking while I took it out of the package or even after falling off of a display shelf. Sucks that you got a bum figure that time, but don't act like it was the "norm" because that is a ridiculous exaggeration. I've actually had quite a few experiences like this with Toy Biz ML's (and SHS for that matter). I've had to learn to be extra gentle with those stiff joints if I don't want to have to get out the crazy glue.
  13. If Hasbro kept them it would be nice if they would make it so their arms and legs didn't pop off at the joints. I like SHS but the quality is pretty questionable, especially when considering the price.
  14. Airborne parts...eewww @puke@
  15. Um...in what way? DTC was mediocre. These are phenominal.
  16. To be honest, I like version 3 better but considering how the new figure turned out I'm glad they went with version 1.
  17. I'm pretty sure that Hasbro said a few years ago that that their "no dead characters" rule was no longer in effect.
  18. Geez louise! Could we please stop with the "Hasbro killing ML" talk just once? Talk about jumping the gun! I'll agree that these blow but from what I'm seeing I'm sure this is just a 5" kiddie line like people are saying. And for the record, not everyone hates what Hasbro is doing. I really like the Origins line and wave 1 doesn't deserve half the criticism it gets imo.
  19. ^ ^ My myth is standing on the shelf next to my computer @smilepunch@ .
  20. I think I read somewhere that the editors started requiring that Venom be portrayed with the drool and tougne. While I prefer the Mcfarlane version, it never really bothered me unless it was over-done. Some artists make it look like that thing should be flapping in the wind .
  21. I just got mine and I'll agree with others that these are much better than people are saying. Most of them are very nice. I can honestly say that there is nothing here that is worse than what TB has done in the past.
  22. That Penance story was pretty terrible too. Arggh. I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly Lobdell had no intentions of that being Penance's story at all. Than he leaves and some up writer makes up that blunder. One of the other disappointing moments in Generation X's long bad written history. That and towards the end the terrible terrible baggy costumes, and it was no wonder why the series got canned. I can't agree with you more. I hate what they did with Penance and that story was a total mess. It's funny how so many characters I liked got ruined after lobdell's departure.

    Review: Banshee

As flawed as this figure is I thought the criticism of the wing stripes was a little harsh. I've been an X-men fan for well over a decade and I didn't even notice.
