  1. I'm liking these a lot more with better pics. Monkey Wrench is outstanding. So glad he doesn't have a Burnout head. Med-Alert is great too. Oddly enough, I don't hate Cobra Trooper now, but I'll reserve my judgement till I see him in person. Grand Slam was pretty close to being great, but the puke mustache almost ruins him. The rest are still kinda dull.
  2. I'd love for them to start making more new sculpt IG's (especially Darklon or Voltar). A 6 pack or comic pack would be best though, if we were to get a lot of them at once.
  3. I think Hannibal only has a new head along with that jacket thing (new arms maybe), but I see you're logic #US1# . I think getting a completely new sculp Covergirl may have dried up the budget for this wave, though I could be wrong.
  4. I can't believe we've had two comic pack Snake Eyes and another on the way, but still no Billy. He's easily the one I want the most.

    Wave 3 Dtc

Does anyone know which joes are left on the Amazon list from a few months ago? Assuming that it doesn't change we should know who's going to be in wave 4. I have to admit that I'm dissappointed with the 2nd comic pack too. I was really hoping to get some new or obscure characters with this one, but once again we get the most over used figures in the line. There's a lot of characters I'd like to see before these guys. Billy, Dr.Venom, Dr. Knox, Zanya, Alexander, Mistress Armada, Cool Breeze, The Saw Viper, Wraith, Heart Wrencher, any of the dead joes, not to mention joes who've never gotten a remake. Hopefully, we don't get another pack like this in wave 4.
  6. S6 all the way. It's got it's flaws but at least it's watchable, which is a lot more than I can say for the cgi crap.
  7. You make a good point. I'd like it if there were only one army builder per wave because it's gonna tke forever to get a lot of individual Cobras I've been waiting for. Nothing against the troops, but it's the main characters that make Cobra as interesting as they are. Just to keep this on topic, I liked the cartoon. It was better than I expected it to be, definatly better than the computer animated cartoons. Some parts were prety dumb even for a kid show (Duke jumping out of the rocket comes to mind) but overall it's not that bad.
  8. These figures suck imo. I liked the original tru infantry set, but I just don't get why people like these so much (especially with those horrible colors and that ugly head sculpt). To each his own I guess.
  9. @loll@ Isn't that the truth.
  10. As much as I love the JvC and VvV style figures, it really bugs me how many of them have painted flesh. And as previously mentioned, some of the crotch pieces are a little to small. But overall, I'm very pleased with the way things are going(especially after waves 6 and 7).
  11. This just goes to show how much potential Interrogator has. I've always seen him as the type who would look for traitors inside Cobra. Hopefully we'll see a new version, now that we're getting more obscure characters through dtc.
  12. Alright...I'm officially jealous..
  13. Hopefully we'll get lucky and it's some sort of early production pic, like the black and red spy troops firefly from a few years ago.
  14. Now that the DTC figures are begining to ship from Hasbro.com, has anyone who ordered them from other online stores gotten them yet (especially GIJoe HQ)? Forgive me if this has already been brought up, I just can hardly stand the wait anymore. Patience... Patience...
  15. I remember this figure. Not one of my favorites. The giraffe camo pants kill this one for me. Could have been worse though. A lot of the early 90's joes were pretty hit or miss. Hasbro loved the neon colors back then.
  16. I agree. This horse has been beaten to death. Probably won't get any, don't really care anymore.
  17. I have to say I'm really sick of NC by now. That mold was repainted three times last year. The only other repaint I'd possibly be interested in would be classic colors(with a new molded head).
  18. This is set sucks. Almost as lazy as putting Firefly in both CG sets.
  19. Helmet off : Thumbs Up #US1# Helmet on : Thumbs Down @hmmm@
  20. Lets see... Android soldiers, Ninjas, V-Troops, individual dynamic skin-tight costumes, Ninjas, Mechs, Holograms, standard issue lasers, ninjas, Austrailian Road Warriors, megalomaniacal villains who constantly wear masks and have access to infinate amounts of men and hardware, Ninjas, tyrants formed from the DNA of histories greatest conquerors, grand sweeping plans that put the lives and freedoms of billions into question. Including, but not limited to clones, mind controlling animals, poisoning currency Oh, and Ninjas. Youre right. The presense of Captain America and Spider-Man would totally throw off the gritty die-hard realism. If you read a little more carefully you'll see that he wasn't claiming any gritty die-hard realism. Here's what you left out of that quote: "While I accept that things in joe-land are somewhat sci-fi and unrealistic, I don't really see a place for super heros in their world." And I understand why he feels that way. While I can tolerate ninjas and all the weird things that go on within Cobra, I prefer the joes as ordinary men.
  21. Here are some pics of ripper and thrasher (among others). Enjoy.Ebay pics
  22. Looks pretty cool. I've been iching to repaint one of these myself.
  23. Pretty cool looking SE. Puts the Sigma Sucks version to shame.
  24. Looks good to me. Hopefully we'll be seeing this soon.
  25. Go figure. I actually like this set.
