  1. I know you'Re trying hard to have me take a pic of myself in a BDSM suit hahaha... but in fact I'll be setting up the mannequin today to fit it into a place here while doing some cleanup of the office area... I'll take the occasion to try to fit him with the BDSM suit (this should be interesting... trying to fit a big stretchy suit with only one zipper in the back to a motionless 6'2 mannequin)... I'll then take a pic so you can see what it may look like when finished (when I'll get the head and the 2-3 small things like the patches/dogtags)...
  2. I actually thought about this, I contacted a few naturalizers around here and on the web... would turn out to around $1000-1500 for a naturalized wolf.. ouch.. For now it will be Snake-eyes without Timber
  3. I knew some people out there would appreciate the work I'm gonna put into this! (hehehe, my girlfriend isn't talking to me anymore since this mannequin came in our home, wait until she sees it finished!) A Cookie pan! Same model as my first visor replica on my website (why change a winning formula!) Ever tried to walk into an halloween party with a cookie pan in your face? hehehe, no it really is for a decorative mannequin. Only thing stopping me so far is that damn styrofoam head I got from eBay... the woman shipped it for $4.00 (while another seller quoted me a $18 shipping fee for the same head)! I don't know what kind of shipping is this from USA to Canada... I mean.. 4 bucks! it's coming in a hot air balloon or something? Hopefully it will still get here fast... Bought a few cool things too while I was at it and knew the project was a definitive go.. like an Arashikage patch, 2x Gijoe patches, and I ordered 2 personalized dogtags (along with a SNAKE EYES name tape white on black). Anybody want to ask me if I like Snake Eyes or not? hehehe
  4. UPDATE 07-10-05 ! Here's the final pics! So I've been gathering here and there some Snake-Eyes stuff in the last few years, patiently waiting for an opportunity to grab a mannequin one of those days to make a life size action figure The moment as come, last week I grabbed a Mannequin at a clearance price, it came without a head but I got one off eBay (which I'm impatiently waiting on to make the project!). I also got a BDSM black suit for him hahaha... not that I'm into BDSM but that thing will be perfect!! So here's a pic of some of the stuff he'll come packed with (Uzi, Ninja sword, visor, knifes, tactical vest, military black Jungle boots... can'T wait!) Will you want some pics of the final figure when done?
  5. Speaking about smalljoes, anybody know if the website is still operating? I know about their so-so reputation on some boards but I still placed my first ever order with them about a week ago, they say in their faq that the items ship at most 2 days after they're paid for, but still, the order is marked as "processing" even 7 days after order is placed and paid for... I contacted them 2 days ago to know what was going on exactly.. still no answer. Is it one of those numerous e-store who simply vanish one of those days (and it happens to be "one of those days" for this store)? It's like everytime I decide to try a new e-store for joes, it turns out they decide to go berserk and begin to rip off everyone, starting with me (happened with "figuresdirect.com", I was the first one to ask about his reputation on a board when my order never came in, everyone one was backing him up and then 2 weeks later, all those bad experiences with him surfaces up and we found out he's ripping off half his customers... trying to correct things only with the most "turbulent" on the boards..) Oh well.. hopefully it's not the case here, I'd like to find a safe e-store to place my orders of the new figures and everything.. So, anybody in the know about the current situation at smalljoes since they don't answer?
  6. I think I may have seen this in a comic or something... where can we see a GIJoe dog tag worn by any character? Well not only see, but where we can actually read/decipher what's written on it?
  7. Are they in yet? Didn't see any around here (Montreal...)... Will this line even come up to Canada or we're stuck with Transformers, Batmans and a few Marvel Legends until we die?
  8. Had tons of problems with this guy. First order was a fiasco, never got the item, had to fill a PayPal complaint. Then I gave him a second chance after getting bashed on by others on YoJoe when I told about my bad experience with him (thought it was just bad luck on the first order, so I gave him a second chance with a $80 order of Snake Eyes figures, after all he sells so cheap and even him was telling me he was sorry about the first order at the time... but it ended up in another PayPal complaint to get my money back since he stopped answering emails and I never got the items... And then, people started complaining about him on Yojoe.. go figure.. Avoid at all cost...
  9. Wow.. and I almost bought the 85 Snake Eyes he had on Cut card too... glad I didn't... sorry about your bad experience. But I'm just curious, a little quick off topic question: did you really intend to keep the figure MOC on this badly cut card?
  10. Yes, because they probably make even more money from having a website with over 100 000 daily page views with a definitely targeted audience... making it a prime site to advertise for any toy/collector/hobby company. Turn this into a pay service and this site will probably die in a year or 2... this site has a reputation, and that's why it's popular. If this site wasn't that old, bringing in more traffic than any new website would do and will EVER do, maybe the "pay service" would be the only way to try to get back at making a few bucks from the site. But, turning such a highly exposed and well known traffic grabber website into a pay service would be shooting yourself in the foot. Traffic is the name of the game to make money with a website doing anything else then simply being an "online shop". If aonline told the guys beind the site that they would never turn this into a pay service because of the convictions of the guys running the site for them, I think they're telling a big flat white lie... they would never do such a thing anyway because of the nature of the website and the fact that they make more money with traffic. What bugs me here though, is that this kind of website has the potential to make a LOT of money (and I'm pretty sure they do...). How come they don't even pay the regular guys beind the site? I can understand the "I don't do this for money, I love GI Joe".. hey, I do too, but come on, you're actually "working" for a damn big company here making a lot of money out of your work. Just my 2 cents...
  11. You can get most of them for $10-15 a piece... exclusives can fetch a bit higher ($20-35)... and SE Life size can be found for anywhere between $40-80 these days (damn... I paid almost $200 for mine a year ago...).. I was watching this auction, but as with almost every auction lot I'm interested in these days (to save a bit on shipping), it ended higher than actual "market" value... Those busts are really awesome... it's sad to see Palisades dropped the licence and the collectors never really picked up on this line.. now we're stuck with things like "GIJoe" and "Cobra" Wall plaques from the "other" company...
  12. You can simply disallow hotlinking from your server, allowing only certain sites to hotlink (namely, the sites where you use your sig or any images from your own server). You're probably using Cpanel to access/control your server (it seems like it's everywhere these days...), I know there's an option in there to disable hotlinking.
  13. Nice pics! Got to ask: I was looking at your Ice Vipers pics, what do you use to fake snow/ice like that?
  14. As much as I like SE, there wouldn't be a Snake Eyes if it wasn't for Storm Shadow... SE would have died in that vietnam field a long time ago while SS and Lonzo escaped in the rescue chopper if Tommy didn't get back to bring him in the copter. You guys also seem to forget that SS almost killed SE once, when SE had his judgment clouded by the possibility of losing another student (Sean, following the lost of Ophelia) he jumped into the fight with SS and SS got the best out of him... SE was saved by Budo able to snipe SS blade from a distance, but it didn't prevent SS from backstabbing SE and getting ready to kill him once more, only to be stopped by the building crumbling on them from a missile chopper attack... then, 3rd time's a charm, but it was now firefly who saved the butt of SE by shooting a tranquilizer in SS... So, simply based on that memorable fight, the only one where death was at hand, SS is the better ninja (assassin)... A picture is worth a thousand words:
  15. What are walgreens? I'm in Canada, never heard of those... it's a dollar shop? Do they sell as boxed set out there like the one on the previously posted website? How come I can't find one of those on eBay since it's a paradise for knock off things found in dollar shops, are they that easy to come by in the States that no one even bother putting them up? All I could find on the web about these are the boxed set issued 6-7 years ago it seems... Is Walgreen selling the individually MOC ones? BTW, the cards say "Team Construx"... and that's about it... made in China.
  16. Hey guys! I'm a Joe Collector but today I was in a small chinese importation shop and I couldn't pass by 2 sets of "Constructicon" knock off, bought them both cause they seemed like a good deal. I remember those guys as they were my favorite TF toys when I was younger. I tried to get more info on the web about this knock off set (I love to check out knock off, I think they really are an hommage, in a strange sort of way, to the popularity of a toy/toyline)... well anyway I couldn't find any information about my particular set (which is individually MOC, not a box set) but I found this: http://www.robotmonstertoys.com/ark/tfiddevastator.htm It seems it's exactly the same as the "construction team china" listed there... all the same bright colors and all... here's the complete Devastator (from their website): Well anyway, all this because I'd like to know if any of you guys are more knowledgable (sp?) about this knock off toy? I also have an extra set that I kept MOC, I'm not necessarily a TF collector so if I happened to find a really nice piece there, I may put it up on evilbay if there's enough interest and collectors out there who may appreciate these pieces more than me... as long as I keep my opened rainbow color Devastator
  17. Yeah it's a custom I did a few months ago: Glad to see you enjoy the pic!
  18. I just moved into my new appartment and I just put up my SE shelves on the wall, I took a pic for you to see. I thought I would be able to cram the 25 versions of SE in my custom acrylic box but I had to put the 25th one in another box... and with v26 on the way... v27 must be close too... will it ever end? Here's a pic for you to see what 25 Snake eyes (and more, with protos and others) might look on a wall...
  19. Nice for a LBC... it almost looks like Teknokyo's well known custom Silent Interlude Paratrooper Snake-Eyes... I'm wondering if they based their head sculpt on his?
  20. Wow I just visited this site... not sure if it's for real or intended as a joke toward AFA grading loose figs? Is it for real? I got a zillion of those small figures clamshells, you can get them everywhere on the net... basically you slap a sticker in it with your personal grades about the figures and you "seal" it with another sticker? If it's your idea of a business, I certainly hope you don't charge AFA prices for that... With that being said, I'm still curious about how AFA intend to "package and seal" loose figures... anyone have pics or intend to throw a few bucks their way just to see what will come out of it? If they're using that clamshell idea, they're losing what was left of their respect with the collectors. The thing needs to be secured in place or something... Anyway, I'm sure we're about to see some loose AFA figs pop up on eBay, can't wait to see $150-200 for a loose 96/100 Globulus in custom extra large case (that would cost extra to grade btw...)...
  21. Archival quality is $60 per MOC figure.
  22. Been checking their website and I couldn't find pics of how they do it... they charge $35 per figure for archival quality but they don't guarantee the authenticity of the figure??? Ouch... They'll start to guarantee the authenticity in June... but the price will jump to $150 for archival quality... Is that some kind of joke? Who will want to have a loose figure graded and authenticated for a whooping $150!?!?! How many loose figures are even worth that much anyway? Ok maybe if I had a P.diddy Destro or something, but even then... Anyway, anyone have pics? (or intend to use this service...).
  23. Sorry guys! I won't be able to have this custom out in time for the deadline! I have to pull out... Still can't wait to see the dio!
  24. I'd like to be in! Did you come up with any "official" rules on what type of customs (RAH or JVC) or anything else we'd need to know on how to proceed? I'm really short on time right now and all my stuff for customization is packed up for my upcoming move... but I'd be willing to try to dig up that box and put together a quick artic figure just to chip in into this project because I absolutely love the idea... it all depends on the timeframe I guess...
  25. Well, I certainly have at least 25 ninjas... the 25 versions of Snake Eyes! Seriously, I was thinking about army building red ninjas...
