  1. Hey I'm looking to get this Snake Eyes for my SE Collection... been checking on eBay to get this set since we don't have this in Canada and with shipping of the big box and the fact that everyone seem to be trying to scalp this thing, it would be almost $60 to get at the cheapest... and I don't even care about those damn red ninjas!!

If any of you is army building this and have a spare complete SE and Timber willing to ship to Canada for a fiver or something along those lines... would be greatly appreciated! PM?

  2. I was under the impression that the "trailer" here *is* the fan-film. As in, there's no real plot, or deeper dialogue, it's just a mash-up of clips to give the sense of a movie. I mean, if this *were* a full-length fan film, with an actual plot, don't you think they'd've put some of that in the trailer?

When you break it down, it look to be about three or four short scenes total. A few characters by an aircraft carrier, Cobra Commander and his troop(s), "Duke" and the porn chicks, the ninja fight, and some Beachhead mugging. It's a lot of repetition, but essentially just those few things. Hardly enough to be a movie, and only the porno prisoners scene has even a hint of a plot.

I'd say we're looking at the finished product here. And I still feel dirty.

Nah, it's gonna be a full fan film... supposed to be released in 2008, probably on DVD only (which I think is strange...)

Special Missions 2 was like 40 minutes or so... yet most of the people only saw the trailer (I saw the full thing.. which wasn't something to write home about.. except for maybe the final hand to hand fight between Beachhead/Lowlight and Firefly)

  3. Well, if it wasn't for the extremely cheesy Storm Shadow costume (and the low budget Cobra Commander mask), the thing looks like it has some great action sequences for a fan movie... and most of the cast is pretty spot on (as in pretty much look-alike).

I think those are the same guys that were behind the Special Missions 1 and 2 fan movies a few years ago, where they had an absolutely great-looking Flint in those, can't find a link to any of these old fan movies with a quick search... anybody remembers?

The back-story seems to involve a prostitution network or something but hey... why shouldn't this be a more interesting backstory than the "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity" that is gonna be on screen in 2009?

For a fan movie, I'm impressed... it's not THAT awful at all...

There's one JOE fan movie involving kids on youtube right now in like 204 parts, now that's awful and painful to watch...

  4. Anyone can help me? I need the Snake Eyes from the comic 3 pack (the one with Stalker and Storm Shadow.. comic #27 I think..)... I also need the Baroness 25th anniversary figure... both complete

I just bought this lot tonight :

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:B:BCA:US:1123

I'll keep both Snake Eyes, Scarlett and SS... the other 5 figures would be up for grab... anyone up for a quick trade?

  5. Hey, found the site last night and it looks great so far!

I noticed that the fourth pic on the top row is an old that I was going to convert to pixel art for my cancelled Baroness character for MUGEN. The gallery entry for it can be found here. While I don't really mind that it's on the site (well, other than my ugly artwork), I thought it'd be cool if you had a version of it that has my name on it.

Anyways, it's good to finally see a Baroness fan site. Keep up the good work!

Sure! I'll switch it on the next update... I'll probably put that black and white pencil work instead! Never saw that one... nice..

  6. LOL! :D

EDIT: Oh snap! L'Ombrageux already has it! Oh well. . .

Yeah that's a great pic! Gets you a smile! It was probably an entry to the Maxim contest a while ago where you had to take funny costume pics involving GIJoe... (was it Maxim magazine? not sure... and wasn't it a board member who won that contest??)

  7. Cool! I'm always hip to a challenge.

I thought some background color would sharpen the image up a little bit, and changed the skin tones on her....

Good looking! New challenge: remaster this way all the 155 Marvel comics

    ;)

  8. very nice. just wondering, why did you skip over the rid-armada-energon-cybertron era versions?

Because those are considered "alternate" Transformers Universes... I wanted the site to concentrate on the true G1 Optimus... I may add them down the road.

  9. Here it is again, but shopped to add a little more color than the original:

Even though the brown leather belt instead of blue is a nice addition, did you add a blur effect to the pic? It seems a bit more blurry than your first one... I liked the sharpness of your first one while removing the ink dots marks .. the bluriness of the second one kills it IMHO (even though I'll take a tanned brown leather belt over a blue one anyday ;) )

i dont really care that this image came off my website (notice the avery mailing labels as a background?), but isnt it kinda silly to put a logo on it so people dont steal a stolen picture? kinda like putting a car alarm on a stolen car.

hehe, really i dont care, just find it kinda ironic.

Like the mention in the gallery, those are pictures you can find on the web. You have to understand that as everything that's posted on the web, if the original author of the image/picture have any problem with the diffusion of one of the pics he himself let loose on the web, he can always e-mail the webmaster and request removal with proof of ownership (in my case, a fansite, unless the story seems a little fishy I wouldn't even think twice and remove it)... this is a fansite so it's not really a problem and I'd remove in a heartbeat anything that any original author feel inapropriate.. it's not like i'm making money out of this... but anyway you're cool with it so... let me just explain to you the point of watermarking since you don't get it (it's not to "appropriate" a picture to call your own that you watermark an item...)

Some people will say otherwise, but watermarking is used to prevent bandwidth stealing (people linking to an image directly on the server of someone)... so if I was to steal the pictures from your own website to redistribute here on this fan website, and cause you bandwidth "stealing" by posting in my own gallery pics from another server, you wouldn't be happy (see, that pic is 60k, so let's say 200 visitors come to my website everyday and check out this pic, and I "steal" it right from your server by linking directly since you didn't even watermark it (would look as my own), that's 12 megs of bandwidth daily right there) ... that's the basic point of watermarking your images on the web... all major sites do this (and no, they don't "own" all the pics they watermark either), and frankly in this day and age where someone could post one of those high resolution pic in a couple forums and get over 500-1000 hits in 24 hours, it's almost necessary... it prevent people from doing this (well, maybe not posting in a forum, but at least steal your bandwidth right from your server to their website), and for those who may post a pic once in a while from there on a forum to show something to members, at least the watermark provides a link back to the original site.. so at least you don't "hand over" your bandwidth...

There's other options to prevent "hotlinking", but I don't adhere to them since it makes the web a restricted place which I don't think is the point (so I adhere to the watermarking instead, may give the chance to someone to enjoy your hard work (your website) while stumbling upon a pic "distributed" by your website/server).

So you can think of watermarking as "I'm the distributor of this pic you're currently seeing" and not "I'm the owner/creator of this pic you're currently seeing"... it's putting an alarm on your bandwidth to prevent stealing (that, you own), not to dispute ownership/author's rights of the image.

    Hope it's more clear? ..

  11. Are you talking about live pictures retouched such as these, or are you looking for scans from comic pages where she looks exceptionally hot?

I was looking for scans/images of the baroness where she looks exceptionnally hot...

... But I don't mind looking at those too ;)

(I just found the most perfect image to retouch and put in the template for the gallery... and it wasn't on this thread ;) )..

I'll let you know when I'll have the site finished, in the meantime if any of you have true images of the baroness ;) (I have around 20 nice ones right now...)

  12. I'm working on a Baroness Gallery and it's kind of hard to find nice pictures on the web (with a decent res... not something like 100x100), Do you have any images of the Baroness that you find particularly nice or hot? Care to share? Post here!

    Thanks!

Edit: Finished the website, it's here : Baroness fan website

  13. Here's a pic of my set:

    (attachment)

So is that it? A wal-mart canadian exclusive? I can't find any info on this set even though I find a lot about the golden knight set... anyone else can confirm? Was it available elsewhere (online like the knights?)...

I find it strange that I find this in their clearance area and never actually saw it before...
