  1. He's definitely not the type of actor to play a lead role for an action movie. Not his fault really, but the director's. Not a fan by any means of any of his work. HORRIBLE choice of actor to play Duke....and I'm not even saying act like Duke in the cartoon or the comics...
  2. I hate to break it to you... DTC wouldn't sell... They already tried it once. Different product construction, same product. -Kevin well, I've spoken to a few Hasbro reps and they claim the DTC product helped get the interest from retailers to bring the line to mass retail when Sigma 6 was the main line. Also, we have to look at how the newer 7 figure packs are doing...from what I can tell they are and will do just fiine. That could also be applied to these unreleased 25th and Resolute figures. even if we get only box sets as opposed to single carded figs....
  3. I think Hasbro should have the alternative lines (resolute, 25th ARAH) sold DTC and keep their ROC and POC (which is basically the same universe it seems) via mass retail. Then they'll find out the real interest of each line.... if retailers don't want many lines I think this would be a good way to please fans while also pleasing retailers. We, as collectors, could definitely keep those DTC lines alive since there's a strong demand for keeping the 25th line alive and also to give Resolute more attention... just my two cents.. #US1#
  4. Me too. I thought it was gonna suck with all those creatures, but it's actually pretty good!!!!! Frontline definately hasn't disapointed me at all, and the regular series are getting better!!!!! Good time for G.I.JOE for sure
  5. Well, I would say that they are direct clones of Caesar and Alexander the Great. Dr. Mindbender had the DNA, so it's a possibility that he cloned the kids planning for the future, and I think the future is near. They'll bring back serpentor, but I don't see the purpose of the kids, because with the existing dna they could just take it directly, no?
  6. Yeah, I mean I agree with you, shockwave rules, but it'll be cool if they later on release shockwave as sgt. shockwave or something. I think that's possible. And I know what you mean, is like nunchuk who screams quick kick but is named nunchuk.
  7. DDD already answer that question. Widescope was intended to be Shockwave but because of copyrights they no longer have the rights to use that name, therefore Widescope is a brand new character.
  8. That wasn't necesarily true. The G.I.JOE TPB's were selling pretty good, it was the other lines that totally blew it. Marvel had to cancell the whole concept. And that was according to a friend of mine who owns a comic book shop. On another note, I know most of you hate Blaylock's writing, but let's just get one thing straight: if they cancell the comic now, it's gonna be really hard to get another one. Let's just wait for the new one(writer) In the meantime check out FRONTLINES, I really think that comic is pretty good, especially with the rotating teams, different themes and scenarios and possible use of not so overly used characters(I know, not on the recent ones, but according to devils due, they will)
  9. Dude, you know what's gotta go right away? that stupid logo!!!!!!!! and be replaced with the cool one. Other than that, this is the right step for hasbro's vehicles.
  10. Saw it last year at my local Rite aid. Nothing to die for, the figures had close to zero articulation some of the colors were bright red and stuff like that. On the other hand, the vehicles were kinda interesting 'cause they had a glidder and some other small equipment. I remember they also had some quads too. Not sure if it was part of the ninja set or other theme that they had. The stuff that matters(chinook, deluxe tank, etc...) are the ones we have to look for, hopefully they'll re-release them againg this year.
  11. Although it looks kinda blurry, it says on the bottom that this is going to be a walmart exclusive. It totally has the slaughter marauders' deco. Don't know about the cobra ones. They seem to be the hiss driver and another version of alley viper!!! here's the link: http://207.44.182.109/photo/3/showphoto.ph...sort=1&thecat=2
  12. If you guys can't wait, just go to yojoe.com, they have tons I mean tons of pictures!!!!!!! spoiler: shockwave is no longer shockwave, now he's wide scope
  13. I think you'll be o.k. ditching both Nas. I had bougth the jet, and couldn't keep it man, I hated it so much that I gave it to one of my little cousins. The screws underneath, the whole finish, the cheap sculpting, man was I disapointed!!!! Check it out first, and then make a wise decision. As far as the humvee, you'll be better off if you buy the lanard one, only 9.99 at walmart. You can customize the hell out of it, the detailing is immaculate compared to Hasbros smokescreen. Hell, you could even make the smokescreen the way it's supposed to look with one of those lanard hummers!!!!!
  14. Bring back ANDREW WILDMAN wherever the hell he is. I think he was one of the best joe artists out there. He ran from like early 100's to like the end of the snake eyes run. Does anyone know if he still does artwork? check out his art, you'll agree with me. Oh yeah, the cover for the transformers/joes crossover sucks, but I heard that particular one is just like extra edition. The main one has to be more decent than that. Animation looks horrid on joes, and x-men!!!!
  15. I agree on that Nas, but you gotta understand that Hasbro's idea is to label every single figure with the current logo, and simply that friggin' sucks!!!! not to mention that thing on the new cool looking tank. I know, we can just scrape, remove or replace it. But c'mon!!!!! we are talking about a line that pretty much started the whole retro trend that we see out there, and I'm afraid some of them are doing a better job(He-man, turtles) Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves.
