I must have that whole wave. That has to be the best looking wave so far. I've so kicked that sorry Nightwing out of my collection (well threw him against the wall but still) and now I wait for this new kick ass one.

How hard is it to get a DCSH Super Girl?
the dc direct fan replied to pastwatch2001's topic in DC Comics
I had to go online for mine. There was a nice deal I had for $40 I got her, with steel, parasite, doomsday (orange) and two supermen. I would try big bad toy store to see if you can find a case with other figures you would want or try your luck on ebay. -
Here is my top list #1 Flash #2 Wonder Woman #3 Manhunter #4 Booster Gold #5 Hawkgirl #6 Wonder Girl #7 Cyborg #8 Black Adam #9 Green Arrow #10 Hawkman
-
that is very funny seeing batgirl get thrown away. That street set up is cool. I'm actually jealous.
-
I preordered this wave on bigbadtoystore.com I want all of them except the nightwing (which will be sold or given to a friend)
-
I just said screw it and took my chance on a auction for cyborg supes and batgirl. I won them both for a total of 50 bucks so I say $20 for the each of them and $10 to ship is better then me wasting gas hunting for these things.

just pose the hand on top of his head to make him look confused. it works.

I really don't mean to come down so harshly on the pro DCD side, but when some of them continue to defend DCD's out of scale issues, countless re-dos of Superbats at the expense of other DCU characters that have yet to be done, limited POA, etc, & then have the audacity to put down DCCU for giving us what we've been asking/begging of DCD for yrs, I'm gonna get harsh! I do have to say this at least, I do admire you passion for these figures.

Who thought the fact two lines are providing double the chances of getting DC figures would turn into a battle so soon?!?! THanos I don't mean to single you out, but as a fan of both lines, its ok to defend mattel and say you like their line better but to attack every opinion on here that is for dc direct is going a little overboard. Whats the point of having this conversation if you are just going to take teh "Yeah whatever you're crazy I'm right!" angle each time?

DC Classics universe Aquaman, the best ever!
the dc direct fan replied to thanos0341's topic in DC Comics
I really like that smiley Aquaman. I used to have it. It's just a fun looking figure. Had some nice articulation as well. -
I made space for future MAttel figures on my room. I'll continue to purchase both but I've slowed down on DC Direct due to the price. Mattel is more affordable and poseable (superman goes nicely with a marvel legends flight stand!) Despite Mattel only having superman and batman chracters at first, they really impressed me. I was able to just about complete the whole Superman/Batman families and their villains all in one scale and style. It's nice to display a big group like that and not worry about who has a head so big that they look out of place. At the same time, some DC Direct goes into that display just as nicely. My infinite Crisis Power Girl is with my Mattel Superman display and my Turner Darkseid is truly the giant he needs to be. DC Direct is still getting my money with their 13" line (which is very impressive) and certain waves. I'm a sucker for their JLA figures by Ed Benes and they have a display of their own. DC Direct also gives me more baddies to add to my mattel display so in the end, both lines help create one ultimate collection.

It looks like my big lots got the wave but someone came and got all the cyborg supermen Oh well, least I got a Mongul and a crap load of mattel DCSH at the con today!
-
I'm gonna try my big lots again before I head out to the con. HOPEFULLY they will have a case in.

Besides Star Sapphire I'm sold on that whole set.

DC Classics,Metalmen & Doom Patrol? Yes/No?
the dc direct fan replied to thanos0341's topic in DC Comics
I'm down for the MEtal Men and/or a BAF of the giant form they take when they come together. As far as Doom Patrol..... I like Beast Boy and Robotman but that is about it. -
I just ordered this set from them about a week ago. It's a great deal and I hope they will do the same for the batgirl wave.
-
Ok, that is good news to know then! So I just have to keep my ears open to any nightwing sets appearing at tru.
-
for that price I say yes. It has a good story.
-
I hate big lots.... all they had were justice league supermen..... F'n Big Lots
-
wave two contains Harley Quinn, Superman Blue, Firestorm, Aquaman, and Black Manta.
-
Looks like I'm going to big lots tomorrow!
-
Blue Robin is Nightwing..... I'm just gonna ignore that and hopelessly wait for a two pack with the real Nightwing. I need one for my collection and this is the only way I'm getting one.
-
Those customs are beyond impressive. Very jealous right now.... VERY jealous!

SO I noticed the theme within the first two waves is to have a hero and one of their arch enemies in each wave. (Batman/Peguin Aquaman/Black Manta) So I thought of what good guy and bad guy combos I'd like to see in atleast each wave. Green Lantern (with varaint classic green lantern)/Sinestro (with a variant classic Sinestro)(BAF Manhunters to top it off) Wonder Woman/ Cheetah Flash/ Captain Cold (BAF Gorilla Grodd in the wave with Flash and a variant Zoom as well would rule) 90's Nightwing or Current Nightwing/Deathstroke Shazam/Black Adam Golden Age Green Lantern/ Solomon Grundy Martian Manhunter/ White Martian (build your own white martian army!) That's just a few I could think of at the moment but those would be pretty cool.
