  1. Not to mention that they actually REDUCED the number of Vaders per case from 5 to 4. They must like making us bust our *** to find them. The manager gave me one in the bag and when I said I needed one more because I wanted 2 sets he gave me 1 that had been open. (I wasn't going to pass on the chance to get another.) I have a lady at another BK that said she will try to hold me one back. If I can get one more bagged Vader then I will be happy. Come to think of it I was lucky enough to get 1 of the last Vaders from a simple kids meal purchase and no hassling of the employees. Guess it pays off sometimes.
  2. I picked up 2 more of the watches. The Darth Maul/Obi Wan and the Stormtrooper/Luke as stormtrooper ones. Just need 2 more of them now.
  3. My bad. I should have typed Stormtrooper and not Clone Trooper. I got the Yoda/Dooku and Han Solo/Boba Fett watches now as well. The BK I got them at said they get another truck on Sunday and to check back then.
  4. Well, I was able to score 2 each of the first 8 they had and I was able to get 2 Vaders. This time around he is even more rare coming 4 to a case. I was unable to get any of the watches. Some places did not have them and the one that did could not sell any until they added it into his computer/register. The Vader has a chip this time that makes him breath when his chest plate is pressed. So far I have the following... 1) Amidala 2) Stormtrooper 3) Anakin 4) Obi Wan 5) Mace 6) Snow Speeder 7) Naboo Starfighter 8) Chewbacca These look like they are better done then the last ones. The manager at the BK I got these from was VERY nice and helpful so not all BK employees are pains in the @** when it comes to helping someone out. I think it all depends on how busy they are and the fact that some of the regular employees get a "leave me alone so I can get my cleaning/stocking up done and go home" attitude. Best of luck in hunting them down guys and g*rls.
  5. Bubblegum Crisis is my all time favorite anime. I purchased a model kit of Nene several years back and could not do anything with it because it is a resine kit. (Hope I spelled that right.) I purchased my first CD player because I wanted the soundtracks that Animego was offering. (Ordered a lot of stuff direct from them.) I have several t-shirts, the silk pillowcase, the first version of the VHS subtitled release which cost me $35 a pop, the dubbed VHS version released shortly after that, the dvd boxed set, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 dubbed VHS, all 3 volumes of the 2040 dvd release, AD Police, AD Police tv series, AD police OVA soundtrack, the 3 Bubblegum Crisis roleplaying books, ect. Why am I listing all this you ask? Well, I wanted to prove how big a fan I am and I SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH wanted those figures that it hurt me to have to pass on them when they were offered in the Diamond Previews book. @grumpy@ I could not afford to pay the $75 each for them. I have no doubt that they are GREAT looking and well done action figures, BUT that was a little steep for me with an X-Box 360 on reserve and a MASSIVE comic habit to support. Plus I normally buy 2 each of figures that I want to open and that would have had me shelling out $600 for 2 sets. No way I could afford that. Man, I am soooooo jealous. Now where exactly do you live? I have a robbery to plan. @loll@
  6. I saw something on the offical SW website on the new BK toys a while back and the new Vader is suppose to have sometype of electronic chip in it. Probably to make him breath or he says something. I think it's going to look the same as the other one, but I could be wrong.
  7. That is why I don't go there anymore.I wished McDonalds had these not Blecchh BK Even if they were at McDonalds and not BK they would STILL be a pain to get all of them simply because there are so many of them. We get 17 more this time out and a new version of the "rare" Darth Vader. Then you have to figure in the watches so it's a pain to get them all.
  8. I tried it on my X-box and could not get it to work either. I tried my portable dvd player as well and still no luck. I have not tried it on my PS2 and these are all I have in the way of playing dvds. I did get the easter egg on Episode 1 to work so I don't see what I am doing wrong this time.
  9. I really wish he would have added those scenes back in as well. Who cares if he thought we should be following the story of the kids. Yoda's arriving on Dagobah could have come before the scenes with the kids. The Rebellion stuff would have also been a welcome inclusion, but this is Lucas here and I guess he needs a reason to rerelease these films later and including them in the film next time gets us to buy them again. Personally I like watching certain movies with the commentary as it does reveal the reason they did things a certain way. The flip side of this is the fact that Lucas talks as if he always had the backstory planned as Anakin getting burned by simply catching fire beside the lava when we know the novelization describes him taking a dip in the lava. Well, the novelization was based on his screenplay right? So who wrote the scene that way? That part was interesting to hear despite the fact that we know different.
  10. Has anyone seen them out yet? When does the new promotion start? I lost my job as security guard at that local BK so I am waiting for the promotion to pop up somewhere. They dropped the contract with my security company so I guess they were tired of paying me to basically do nothing but stand in the lobby alll night. I'm going to have to work for them this time. (No more searching through the box behind the counter on my own now. @grumpy@ ) Anybody seen them yet?
  11. I just picked mine up 30 minutes ago. I had to work 11pm-7am and would have grabbed it on the way home, but was short on cash.
  12. You mean I have to choose? I'm thinking threesome here.
  13. Actually that might not be true either. I just saw the paperback version of the Episode 3 novel and it had the Dark Lord novel listed and advertised as a Jan 31st release. If Outbound Flight comes out in January I won't complain, but I was just going by what their computers said and so far they have always been right as that was where I use to buy most of my books.
  14. I asked at a local Books-A-Million if they had got it in and it was in their computer as a May 06' release. I checked last Thursday, as that was when they should have recieved it on the truck, Because the store in question has a record for breaking street dates.
  15. Has anyone found a KB with any Humvees in stock? I have one of the Desert Humvees, but would not mind another one or possibly a Jungle Strike Humvee. I wasn't really expecting to find those Thunderwings, but since I did I thought they could possible get some Humvees in stock. (Before the stock runs out of course.)
  16. This sucks! @grumpy@ I just found out yesterday that this novel was pushed back until May of 06' and I was really anticapating it. Been long enough of a wait to find out the details of that fateful mission and now I have to wait until next year? I know, I know, after all this time what is a few more months right? But I want it now.
  17. I just scored 2 Thunderwing jets w/Slipstream for $32. They had just gotten them in on yesterdays truck. I had not gotten around to getting my 2 yet because I never could find one that did not have the top hatch still in place. (When I actually could find them that is.) Kinda glad now as I just saved myself $30. If you still need a Thunderwing or want some extra air support for your Joes then start checking your local KB toystores. #US1#
  18. I found the boxed starter game at Walmart awhile back for $10. Figured I could get my friend to play with me sense it plays almost the same as Epic Duels with some slight differances. Figured I would probably never buy any booster boxes as they are pretty pricey per booster pack. Well, I went into a local Gamestop store and found some starter boxes for $10 and booster boxes for $5. I scooped them up and now have about 60 figures with duplicates. (But duplicates of the generic characters work fine in this instance.) Have not had the chance to play the game yet, but I did look over the rule book and it doesn't seem that hard. Just have to get my friend over to play. Only bad thing is we are both going to be building squads using what I have and I don't have THAT many to choose from. (He only buys Gi Joe comics and toys and his wife does not even like that.) I wish these cost cheaper or I could find some more packs on clearance. I do have one rules related question although. Forgive me if it seems like a stupid question, but I really don't know. 1) When it says you have to make a saving throw of 11 does that mean you have to role an exact 11 or will anything over 11 work? Anyone else here playing the game or failing that collecting the miniatures just for collecting thems sake?
  19. He came to a local comic shop in my area back in the 90's and I got to meet him. I was a little upset that I had to pay to get his autograph on my Chewie action figures. (The first one and the Shadow of the Force one.)
  20. I got mine yesterday. Still have one that I haven't sent in yet. (Long story.) That means I got a real bargin on mine. The Chewbacca is clearly the best of the 4.
  21. I went in last week and the guy working saw me looking at the Joe stuff so he asked if I was looking for Sigma 6. I said "No. That stuff is crap. My Joes are the 3 & 3/4th stuff." He said "Oh, then I got something in the back you might be interested in." He then went into the back and came out with a case of Pariahna Boat/Night Adder bonus packs for $19. I was kinda short on cash so he said that if I came back in that weekend he would let me have it at 30%. (He said they needed the sales.) I went back the next day and got 2 of them along with another Sting Raider and Venomization Chamber which were $5.99 each. He gave them all to me for 30% off. (His employee discount.) The following week is when they started the buy one get one half off, but I thought he was cool for doing that for me and I didn't know him at all before walking in that day. Pretty cool huh? I ended up paying $38 for my stuff. (One last splurge before getting cut off on being able to buy anything Joe because I don't have a credit card to purchase from Hasbro directly.)
  22. Depends on what those easter eggs are whether or not I pick them up again. I wouldn't mind if it was the Biggs and Tank stuff from Tatooine or the cartoon short from the Holiday special that introduced Boba Fett. Honestly though, he should have included those in the first set. @grumpy@
  23. I thought it was kinda stupid to do as well. On top of that the one vehicle that Sigma Six is getting, the Ninja Lightning, hasn't even been in the cartoon as of yet.
  24. Umm? That would be the week of November 1st when the DVD hits stores.
