  1. My goodness...just gorgeous. And I'm reminded to pick up a lottery ticket after work...if I win, this would be my first purchase, LOL. As a Cawtoman collector, this would basically finish my collection for all time - I'd just be "that's it - nothing is getting any better than this"!
  2. Does anyone have any links to these? They aren't showing up at either site for me.
  3. I'm pretty sure it isn't. Just held up Gordon to the screen, and Gordon's skin is smooth, the hairline is different, the ears are much different - I think it's mostly the glasses that make it feel that way. It definitely isn't the greatest likeness, but it is different. In any case, super glad to see this wave and continuing with new characters from the show, even if they are more styled toward the comics. I'll even pick up Nightwing, just for that chest hair LOL. There really needs to be Bruce and Dick soon, though. There is still a ton I want, but that would at least make me feel somewhat complete.
  4. THRILLED about BOOKWORM and ALFRED for the '66 line. I really hope they are show based and not comic based, but I'll take them either way.
  5. I can't believe this is even a thing to begin with - it's the most insane thing I can imagine - but what is even more funny as hell is that these "figures" don't even need to be made in real life, yet they still have ugly articulation, LOL.
  6. Wow - Super7 could so take a cue from this line in both character selection and varying price points for different figures.
  7. I can't remember the last time I did a preorder at Target that was timed...is there a general time that they go up? Don't want to miss out on this one. Thank you!
  8. It's been this price for at least a month now, plus the 20% off coupon. It fluctuates daily a few dollars up or down. Basically with the coupon it's been $300-310 for awhile now.
  9. Unfortunately, I don't think this will be the last line cancellation for them - because it's mostly the same circumstances, I'm pretty sure the Star Trek TNG line is going to go the same way. They keep getting these licenses to attract new collectors, but the character selection is just terrible, and price point is just too high. The Ultimates lines are also very hard to get into collecting later because of their pre-order methods, so they inherently limit people getting involved if and when they actually get to demanded characters. Their sales strategy just needs a lot of work. Basically, they discourage all but the most hard core, all-in from the start collecting, and just don't deliver the value with the price points they sell at. When you look at what other companies are doing for 1/2 the price, it's just no wonder they aren't selling. The first wave of Simpsons was truly just awful as well. 3 one-off "pet" characters, 1 one-off variant of a popular character we haven't even seen a "normal" version for yet, and Moe - the only legit one in the batch, really. And much as folks love Moe - that just wasn't enough, and everything else way too random. It was clear it was going to be years before they even intended to complete the main family - and who really wants shelves/displays full of one-off characters before you get the main ones?
  10. Yeah, I have completely lost interest in this line. In fact I cancelled all my preorders for this current wave. I didn't mind them doing comic/new characters here and there (like Two-face), or the lazy repaints (Scuba Batman & Robin, etc.) - I bought them all to support the characters like Egghead and Tut. But to have a wave of 6 figures and not a single one actually from the show, combined with the fact that when interviewed at ToyFair last week McFarlane seemed to a) not know/care much about this line and b) thought it was a good thing they were "moving on" from known characters, was just too much for me. I wish they had kept going - if there had been at least one new classic TV character per wave, I would have continued to buy it all. I definitely wanted more - the playsets were so cool, the prices were decent, and it wasn't a difficult line to collect. The only figure I didn't have up until now was the unmasked Robin, because I refuse to pay $200+ for it especially when it actually looks nothing like Burt Ward. I pretty much consider the line over - I just can't believe they never did Bruce/Dick/Alfred since they released a playset for them. I'll keep an eye on it if and when they do any of the needed characters, but other than that - just not interested in supporting all these random figures that have nothing to do with '66.
