  1. Been thinking about getting a new laptop, but mine was ahead of the power curve when I got it in late '08, so it's hardly outdated. I got a Toshiba a long time ago (like 06-07), and that baby is still ticking. It's a bit slower than the new stuff, and it's still running XP, but it is a great work computer and a testament to Toshiba's quality. I've never heard people complain about their Toshiba's dying on them prematurely. Here's hoping yours continues the trend.
  2. I'd say I've noticed a significant upswing the amounts of posts recently. Not sure if it's solely related to the contest, but it's nice to see people get their post on.
  3. Yeah, some things never change. Like me being at work and on here. Here I am again!
  4. That's good to hear. Now I just have to get my hands on a Skystriker or two and get to work. I might just try an entire Decepticon fleet if I can get them at a ridiculous discount like the Target exclusive planes from a few years ago.
  5. I think what's cool about each person's set up is that it tells you a lot about the person that made it. You can tell xhairs likes customs because he has a ton of them in his displays. You can also tell he's a hands on guy with his stuff because they're not set up still MOC or in statue like poses. The figures are telling a story. Those are the displays I like personally. I like looking at others too, but if it's all boxed up or just set up in statue like formations by year or whatever, that just doesn't do it for me. I wanna see some action out of our action figures. Great set up man. Don't sell yourself short. I would have more fun in your toy room than in Dan's. No offense to Dan, MOC just isn't my thing. Both rooms still look awesome and really show two different views on collecting, and how diverse we all are. I love it.
  6. I'll see what I can do DH. Hey VH, any luck getting the parts you were looking for?
  7. Well, congrats on your museum like collection. Now, give me about 2 hours alone in your room and you'll have one of the most complete loose collections. @smilepunch@ I couldn't do it man. I could never be a MOC collector. I've got to play with my toys. I wouldn't have the discipline to keep from opening each and every one of those.
  8. Not bad. I may pick some of these up. I'm still pretty set on some of my characters though, so I'll probably pass on guys like Snake Eyes and Duke. I'll give the Stalker a chance since I never got my hands on a Resolute version. I'd be interested in seeing what he looks like in a group pic. And what's the deal with two different versions of the Cobra Trooper AGAIN. Do we really need a 15th variation of the Cobra Trooper with a three year time span? That is getting old. I'll likely pass on them. Hazard Viper is OK. I liked the color scheme better as Volcano Viper. I'll be using those instead of buying these. Really can't tell if I like that Firefly, but I'll give it a shot. I'd buy the IG stictly for the accessories. Anyone ever wonder why Iron Grenadiers don't have an actual grenadier? Not a single 203 or any other type of grenade launcher for that matter. I'll have to see CC up close before I decide wether or not I need him. Steel Brigade is a pick up for me, simply because I haven't been able to get one yet. Vipers can always be used to flesh out some of the ranks.
  9. And it would probably be a better Transformers movie than the three that we got.
  10. Try the Army some time. Politics are horrible. Here you get to through the rank part into it too. But whatever. Most people don't know that I'm typing away on these boards in the middle of the day when I should be hard at work on something.
  11. Yeah, but neither one of us drink. @grumpy@ That's ok. I'll take a make out session that has a happy ending with my wife over a three way kiss with some chicks that I won't remember their name.
  12. If you're worried about the stickers you could always scan them to have them on file. Once might even donate that scan to Cobrastickers. Jussayin. I plan on making my own out of one of the new Skystrikers. Or maybe I can rework the crimson one I was doing. Either way, it's not going to be that difficult to make one that looks just as good, if not better than the SDCC one. I'll give it a try when I get home. I'll just make my own stickers for it if there aren't any repro ones made. It's not as hard as one might think. @hmmm@
  13. Well, there goes the fun. Ditto on rinkimeku.
  14. Spiderman 1-5 (the McFarlane ones). I actually picked these up as a bundle set at a Wal-Mart when I was in my early teens. I was hooked and needed the rest of the series. Lucky for me, those were also in bundle packs at WM, too. At least through the Morbius storyline with the return of the black suit. Somehow I got sucked into X-Force at that same time, and when the two lines crossed over, with their sideways issues no less, I was doomed to love comics for the next five to six years. Then I just let it all slip away and sold it all for ridiculously low amounts just to move on. Kicking myself for that to this day.
  15. Hard to say. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information yet. Just one pic from what i can tell. And that's the pic of the site where you can enter your email for more information as it becomes available. Could be promising. It's based off of Transformers Prime according to what little news is out there. I'm not familiar with all the different TF stuff that's out there, so I don't know if that's good or bad.
  16. It's official. I hate you. Seriously, that is an awesome collection. Very envious of you right now. Some day. Some day.
  17. I dunno, for some reason, I get more of a Law vibe off of that Hawk figure. Seems like he could be a POC MP to me. Not sure why.
  18. I do what I can to help the peoples.
  19. Some good ideas there. But it just seems the guys that are running things now have their own agenda. I will just keep picking and choosing from whatever is out there. And if there ends up being nothing, then I will go after the ones that I missed along the way. My passion for the Joe line has long since subsided. It's no where near what it was to me just a few short years ago. Can't win them all. I'll just pick my battles where I can.
  20. Finally got to check this out on a computer that doesn't block out photobucket pics. Nice set up you have there. I wish I had a room. Right now I have a closet. Granted it's a fairly large walk in closet, but it's no room. I'm going to have to show my wife these pics so she can see that my collection really isn't as large as she thinks it is.
  21. Hmmm. Not going to write this off as quickly as I originally thought I would. I'll give it a fighting chance.
  22. I'm sure they could no problem. The last one really surprised me. I was expecting the worse, and got a really great movie. I remember back when they were talking about Toy Story 2, and Disney wanted to do a straight to DVD release like most of their sequels at the time, but Pixar stood their ground and a pretty decent movie was made, and brought Disney big bucks.
  23. Yeah, I started watching the episodes again tonight, and realized very quickly just how much I did not like Chumlee. A lot of his stuff is overacted, you can tell. But the rest of the stuff is so interesting, I just keep watching. I'd love to see some people be straight forward like Rick is when it comes to the values of their super limited edition bagged with 13 collectors cards #1 issue of a limited time limited run. Ugh. The 90's were so bad for gimmicky comics.
  24. I'm going to start to think of a lot of interesting things to say.... The 'Caption a Pic' is a great place to break in those 'interesting things to say' chops. wink wink.
  25. You young whipper snappers don't know just how easy you have it. Wait a minute, I'm not Viper Hunter. I'm still relatively young. Sitting at work waiting for emails from loved ones. Because I have no life.
