YOU DECIDED TO RELEASE A BUNCH OF REPAINTS AND OTHER STUFF NOT IN THE MOVIE, BUT SKIP OVER AN AWESOME LOOKING VEHICLE THAT WAS PROMENTLY FEATURED IN THE MOVIE?!?! #WTF# GET THIS THING OUT...NOW!!! @pow@ Agreed. What the heck? I would have bought that in a hearbeat, even the pilot looks great. I don't buy many vehicles and am pretty picky but that looks excellent. These weren't in the initial photos i saw, is there more out there? another link? I found this pic at GIJoecon.com

  3. The animated shorts that began the series also have some cameos: In the Hulk short, Stalker makes an appearence just like Wild Bill. He's shown after 2:00. In the Ant-Man short, Klaw's merecenary team is the Spec-Ops Team from Predator. After 1:20.
  4. Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot
  5. I'm looking to get rid of some stuff. I know it's not really in demand, but I have the following JvC Stuff for sale: It's a little dusty, but a great way to bulk up troops.
  6. Ignore This. See Other Post.
  7. Someone posted the following to Joecustoms: "I saw this figure at brazilian Toy Fair (april). He is a japanese character (I don't remember the name, something like "Ito") with a very good designed tatoo in the left arm and face. A new head with an asian skin color. Resolute Roadblock's body. He is part of a big (and expensive) set: a huge T-Rex in green, with a JP SUV in the back of the package (of paper, to assemble)." He also said the T-Rex was in green and brown. Someone also pointed out how these guys would make a great new "Dino Hunters" sub-team. That was so obvious it never dawned on me.
  8. Because sponsors do not want the same old crap. Sponsors do not want to pay the rates for episodes of a new show that is the same as shows in re-runs. Something new...re: something DIFFERENT than before attracts sponsors, and gets them to pay for advertising spots around those new shows. Unless the show is VERY popular--has the ratings to justify viewership-just making more episodes of the "old" shows isn't enough of a lure for sponsors. They see the reason the old shows failed--were cancelled--in the first place is that viewership dropped of to the point where it was not sustainable. In essence, those shows WERE broken--not enough people watched them, so when the property has another go, they try to put a new spin on it and hope an audience latches on again. I was not taliking about re runs of the same show. I was talking about a new show done in a similar character style as the original. Similar to how Resolute was done. Now, I've read your other post. I see how you like to argue and correct everybody. I don't think I like you. Please don't respond to my post. Because sponsors do not want the same old crap. Read what I wrote again. I'm not arguing either, in THIS THREAD I'm sharing information about how the animation industry works, because I work in the animation industry. If you'd like to know more, feel free to read my posts, or research the subjects on your own. If you think I'm bullshitting you.....then feel free to verify what I write, and refute it if you find contrary info. If you can prove I'm wrong about something, I'll gladly amend or retract--but you had better know what you are talking about. That is what a discussion is about. As for what you think about me........go blow. I do not BS people, and I only discuss stuff I know something about. I also do not suffer fools gladly and there's a few nitwits on these forums that think they know something, but they really know squat. If you can't handle that, then add my handle to your ignore user toggle and live with it. Now this is the TNI board I remember!
  9. 48 going on 20? Looks wise? Also: do you have that beard all the time or were you just trying to look like an Adventure Team Joe for the Con?
  10. Somebody mentioned Indianapolis as the next locale for a JoeCon? Just rumor, but if so, you could make that one Naz! Just look at the cool free stuff you get! Given the constant jokes about his age, did anyone expect VH to look ALOT older then he does?
  11. Arrow is correct. I'm in the process of unloading figures, as most of mine are sitting in a box, and the auctions are hit or miss. Some selling well, some..not so much.
  12. TheWal Mart Exclusive two packs with MonkeyWrench showed up on Walmart.com, but not in stores...yet.
  13. I'll never forget when the cops shut down the last ever show at the Pipeline in Newark, NJ. IN NEWARK, NJ! They were actually concerned with shutting down a show! Nevermind that Rudy was always sending the cops to shut down shows and clubs in NYC.
  14. Too true. At least Lita and Chyna were fun to watch as a wrestling fan
  15. In all fearness (SP intentional), I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude to the movie and I do intend on picking up some of the figures. It just sucks that Hasbro constantly pulls this kind of crap with Joe. Also, Ken pointed out that retailers may have actually ordered Hasbro to bury Resolute becuase they feared a mature GI JOe cartoon. I'm reminded of a recent statement by the professor in my Library Collection Development Class: "If you can't deal with a collection development issue because the person who usually handles that is on vacation, then that person might have too much power."
  16. It could simply be a case of retailers and sponsors telling Hasbro that they are very skittish about a "mature" (re: violent) GIJOE cartoon tied into toys. That would nix something like this right quick, and bump the cartoon to a time-slot that few people are going to watch. Hasbro might have started this ball rolling on their own, and then realized there was nowhere for it to go. That is my assumption anyway. Which brings me to another gripe, why is it that only GI Joe is held to these standards? That might be beyond the scope of this discussion. @grumpy@ @firedevil@
  17. Honestly, my biggest problem with all this is the following: Hasbro announces cartoon, Hasbro hypes cartoon with preview, Hasbro puts out figures for said cartoon, Hasbro produces cartoon-- and then buries it with no advertising and late-night time slot. Why in-the-blue-hell did they go through all that in the first place? Why the waste of time, effort, and funds? Next time that they claim they don't have funds for a new this or that, someone needs to point out the waste of resources on this.
  18. I was really hoping to get a Quarrel to go along with Glenda, but now it won't be and I'm not good enough to customize one. @grumpy@
  19. I'm surprised about the Savage DVD considering all the rumors surrounding Randy's fall out with Vince.
  20. Actually the thing that bugged me most about the Sigma Six era was: the fact that fans were telling people who didn't like Sigma Six that "it was Gi Joe now" and "you had to accept it." One time I was actually told on this board that I personally was "sucking the life out of the hobby" by complaining about the way Sigma Six was pushed, while JvC and VvV were half-assed.
  21. I'm hoping the prices are inflated due to the announcement of the line (most likely) ending and the fact that these just came out.
  22. Is that confirmed? Where did you hear the info?
