  1. Yes, thankyou. I gather you do realise I was being playful...if not, I didn't mean to be insulting. What I should have said was Good for you man....that was an awesome piece to acquire for that amount of money. I'm 25...& barely know anything. Plus, with my horrible memory, it's often more than likely my info is incorrect. I'm certainly no 'fountain of knowlege'. Yeah, I knew you were playing, Man. I just like the sarcastic smilies, too . What's your source for the actual numbers made? I'm curious to find out more myself.
  2. Just wondering. I know Whistler is EU, but so's the Crimson Empire comic pack. Anybody know for sure?
  3. Mine arrived sometime this week right before I did (Just got home for the holidays yesterday) I'm pretty happy with my squad, even though I already had Scorch. The Geonosioans are pretty decent, too. Pretty cool set. I can definitely recommend it! ##1#
  4. Why am I the SOB? Learn how to shop on the web, dude! @firedevil@ It's called 'keyword search' @hmmm@ @smilepunch@ Also, I don't think that the numbers were as high as 500, either. I don't even think they were triple-digit. The rumor I heard was more like 20-50 of each, but who knows?
  5. Thanks, guys, but I actually just finished repairing/customizing the problem earlier. Still, you should expect to not have to buy broken shight.
  6. I like the name. It gives the yellow/black AV an individual identity.

    SCORE

Hmm, I found the normal one easy (well, more like stumbled across it), but I would've liked the flaming one, too.
  8. Actually, artistrix, you can get the protos a lot cheaper than that. you just have to keep your eyes peeled. I got Wesley for $350 and the Romulan for $800. It can be done. I just wish I could get my hands on the playsets. Those would rock!
  9. Bought a few figs today first thing after getting off the ship today (holiday leave, Hurray!) Got both Endor troopers as well as finding both a Sandtrooper and a DS gunner. Also got the throne room Vader or whatever its called, a redeco of POTJ's 'Emperor's Wrath' Vader. I kept leaving this on the pegs before, refusing to get it for a simple lightning accessory. After a closer look, I noticed it has new 'guts', and even shows the arm bionics and removeable hand with 'stump' circuitry, so I thought it warranted a new purchase to replace my 'Emperor's Wrath' Vader. Bought it and got it home and opened it. Tried pulling the hand off to look at the stump since it was on a little crooked (gently enough, mind you. I've been collecting for a few years), the stump breaks right the hell off. I hate when they pack damaged pieces, if only because it seems like I'm always the sucker that buys these. @bH@ Rant complete. Carry on.
  10. Yeah, I saw it listed on Rebelscum's photo archive as a confirmed new item for '07. (no photo yet, though) S'about friggin' time, too.
  11. Guess this is as good a place as any to post my finds. Shuttle is at the Target in Mission Valley. Was tempted, but don't have the room, and the figures are rereleases. Haven't seen the Kit fighters, or the Snowspeeder since the discount (I paid full price for mine! AARGH!) Found the OT comemerative (sp?) tins at, of all places, the NEX (I'm in the Navy). Bought all 4 ANH sets they had. A little steep at $25 a piece, but I felt like splurging. Left the ESB and ROTJ sets as they didn't appeal and I already bought the Scouts from a Chinese Ebayer. I'm tempted to review the Sandtrooper and Vader figs from this set. They're the best offerings (and I dare say definitive versions) of these characters yet to date.
  12. He might be talking about those larger POTJ figures. There was a Padawan Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, and I think a Destroyer Droid, too. Honestly, I don't even remember what they were called. Is that what you're talking about, mkkiller?
  13. Hey, Black Zarak, don't knock my green space bunny!
  14. Actually, a 'Mustang' is just an Naval officer who was prior-enlisted (blueshirt instead of khaki). 'Quickly' achieving the rank of Captain takes about 8-12 years! Going up 6 paygrades that quickly DOESN'T happen. Ever! (I should know, I'm IN the Navy) A little TOO much artistic liscense there.
  15. THAT sums it up right there. Someone ELSE's OPINION. As pointless as a movie critic's opinion. On a sidenote, in a way, I suppose that they (AFA) have allowed me to get a few pieces in my collection for a lot less, if for no other reason that no-one else was interested in the items since they WEREN'T graded. Specifically (not a Joe item, though), my Galoob Romulan prototype figure MOC. Paying 3 figures beats the hell out of 4 or 5 figures, for certain. Thanks, AFA.
  16. People are JUST now figuring this out? They are the first if not the only outfit doing this, and I'm really surprised people jumped on the wagon so quickly with this (mainly scalpers, I'm sure). Particularly now since they started grading loose figures. I personally avoid any AFA graded item, period.
  17. Outstanding! That was hilarious! Way better than those Ebaums ones (never really liked those anyway)
  18. Eye- Shadow... TM, sometimes, you're just not right.
  19. Excellent job on both! I may steal these ideas!
  20. I did the same thing with the Surefire V1 to make my SWAT team.

    WTF?

Holey $#@&!!! Thank God I can keep my hobbies and politics separate,...
  22. The only problems I've had is that one of my 6-pack CG's was missing his helmet and another ones' rifle was underfilled in the mold, giving it a short barrel and a short foregrip. And the afore-mentioned Shock-Viper having a SAW-Viper pack instead of the Range-Viper one (not the figures' original accs, but I like them for the figure) Beyond that, outstanding. I definitely recommend him for the army-builder types among you (us ). Beats the alternative of having to buy carded otherwise.
  23. For actual projectiles, I like the battering rams for DEF Shockwave and Barricade (prefer the green missile over the yellow one, which reminds me that I have a question to pose) For the launchers, I also like the bionic shark from EEL V2
  24. All but one of my Shock Vipers from sicdunbine came with black Range-Viper backpacks that I can't I.D. as coming from another figure. At least I couldn't find them in WHOBIT. Are these unique to sicdunbine's auctions, or am I high or something?
  25. Just heard this on the news! Here's a report from Yahoo News: SYDNEY, Australia - Steve Irwin, the quirky Australian naturalist who won worldwide acclaim, has died in a marine accident off Australia’s northeast coast, local media reported on Monday. Queensland state government sources quoted by Australian Associated Press (AAP) said Irwin, 44, whose television show “The Crocodile Hunter” won international acclaim and popularized the phrase “Crikey”, was believed to have been killed by a stingray barb that pierced his chest. He was filming an underwater documentary off Port Douglas when the accident occurred, the report said. Sky Television also reported that Irwin had been stung by a sting ray. Australian emergency officials could not immediately confirm the reports. Irwin won a global following for his daredevil antics but also triggered outrage in 2004 by holding his then one-month-old baby while feeding a snapping crocodile at his Australian zoo. This is a breaking news story and will be updated. R.I.P., Steve.
