  1. Congrats to VivaLaRam and good luck to everyone in November. A big thank you to Jay and BBTS for continuing to offer this every month!
  2. I agree. I watched every episode of each of the CW DC shows and will miss them terribly. We were in a golden era of comic/superhero based TV shows and movies there for awhile, but I think that has pretty much ended or is towards it's end. It couldn't last forever any more than the era of westerns, mobster or zombie tv shows (or movies) or any other genre did. I just finally finished watching the final season of Riverdale earlier this week. I'll miss that one too. It's always sad when something you've invested years into ends. I'll basically watch anything comic related and generally avoid just about everything else - so I'm likely going to have a lot less to watch in the future - especially with Disney/Marvel starting to scale well back also. This particular announcement was expected, but still disappointing. I'll probably never tune into the CW ever again and this particular show is over, after being a very faithful viewer going all the way back to the Smallville years. They seem to be abandoning any scripted content that I would have ever been interested in.
  3. I pre-ordered this immediately even though it's slightly more expensive that I originally expected. I already have the DCUC Lobo that I love and Dawg from the DC Direct version but have to have this bike!!
  4. I kind of have the opposite take as I think this will open up the franchise to a whole new base of fans who haven't watched it before or didn't even know it existed. I'll admit as a 48-year old sci-fi geek I've always been mildly intrigued by the idea of the show but have yet to ever watch an episode. I'm pretty sure that I'll watch it once it hits Disney+ now though and I likely never would have otherwise. I was the same way with something like One Piece. There is no way that I ever would have taken the time to watch the Anime, but live action on Netflix and I'm in!!
  5. This seems like an odd choice and odd timing for McFarlane, but whatever. I won't be buying them, but happy for anyone that is into these.
  6. I'm definitely looking forward to this! I hope that this Amazon pre-order goes better than that '89 Batmobile did. I think everyone that wanted one of those likely eventually got one, but it still was a disaster at the beginning. Lobo is a less popular character obviously, but probably also a lower availability. I want this and hope to secure that pre-order on Day 1.
  7. Wow, this looks great!! I hope that the final version comes out looking this good (and that it's not a "Collector's Edition" or "Gold Label").
  8. No, they often create listings for projects like this one. They use the wording below on the listing: Additional Details Crowdfund Disclaimer This is a crowdfunded project. If the project fails to fully fund, the items may not be produced and pre-orders may be canceled. I'll let others make their own judgements on the likelihood of this funding, but it's only a little over 25% with just under 2 weeks to go (update pasted below). People seem to be skeptical about the Habro HasLab Giant-Man funding and he's nearly at 60% with a week to go. I personally hope that both projects fully fund, but time is ticking away. Having this listed on the front page of BBTS might give Shart a little more visibility though and might help to indirectly drive some more backers.
  9. I like the figure, but not enough to spend $30 on yet another Joker figure.
  10. I'm looking forward to the reveal. I bought all of the figures they put out in the Plasma line including all of the exclusives (including ECTO-1). Not the roleplay stuff, though. It would be cool if they put out a Marshmallow Man around the same size and price point as the Legends HasLab Giant-Man (but I'd also be happy if they went smaller and cheaper!). I think that a firehouse playset could be a possibility, but less likely. I hope that it's not role play stuff. Can't wait to find out!
  11. I actually had myself talked into buying the Patina Merciless, so went out to the website and added him and a handful of items from the "Sale" area and was going to check out and it was going to be $70 to ship. I said "no thanks," cleared out my cart and logged out. I'm sorry, when every other online store offers free shipping (at least at a certain $ point), I just can't make myself pay that much. I'll just pass and say "good luck!" If the 10% off coupon code is enough to offset the shipping I usually just shrug and go forward, but it didn't even cover half of it this time - so I'm out.
  12. I still love this figure, just like I loved the original... still not paying $100ish for it. That's pretty much how I feel about all of the Loose Collector offerings. I love their work, but not for the price that they're asking.
  13. Midnighter and Waverider are both instant pre-orders for me! I'm ecstatic for both!
  14. McFarlane and their gimmick store exclusives... I've already bought too many. I'm out. Was able to sell an EE sketch variant Batman Who Laughs overnight to reduce my heaping pile of them. I opened up my Glow in the Dark Swamp Thing last night finally and was going to do a swap to the horned head on to the figure but no matter what I did, it wouldn't fit. I might have to shave the ball joint slightly, but in no hurry to do that. The figure is really cool, but I'm frustrated that I couldn't easily do the swap with the included head - not even with heat.
  15. I love Shartimus and am rooting for him in this endeavor. I hope that it works out well and it appears to be off to a good start. Personally this just isn't something that I'm interested in at this price point. I tend to buy lots of civilian fodder figures in the 1/12th (6") scale, but generally only when I find them at deep discounts in the $5-$15 price range. These also seem to be just a touch on the large end for that scale as civilians. Maybe he made them a little larger so they would also somewhat scale with the 7" lines. I applaud anyone for taking a chance and trying to start a business. The barriers to entry are sky high and the likelihood of any type of sustained success are extremely low. We live in a country that is run by multi-billion dollar corporations that can squash any semblance of competition from any type of start-up with ease.... and if the start-up happens to do well enough, then they'll just buy them out. I will always root for the little guy. I absolutely and sincerely hope that this works out very well for him!! Update: After thinking about this some more...since I've spent hours of my life watching his videos, maybe I'll just go ahead and pledge support of one 2-pack just because it's him. It's just a very small drop in the bucket for the kickstarter, of course - but if others choose to do the same.... Good luck, Shart! If this funds then I'm going to want to try to get you to sign mine!
  16. I don't own any NECA TMNT stuff, but I might buy this ninja 2-pack! Laughably all of my Turtle stuff is Playmates because I got it all on clearance.
  17. I already received my Multiverse Hawkman and it was the normal version, but if I ever come across this Platinum version then I'll definitely buy it! This is one that I'll likely enter the "drawing" on McFarlane Toys Store to try to obtain the right to buy. I think that I'm 1-for-3 in attempts on other figures there so far through that 3rd party vendor (whose name I can't remember). The only one that I "won" and was allowed to pay for was the Dread Lantern. I missed on the SDCC Knightfall Batman variant and something else that I don't recall right now.
  18. Loving me some Condiment King!!! I just wish it was a solo release - I hate that I'm spending $120 for this one figure when I already have the others needed to build this guy. A fool and his money are soon parted. The other figures will immediately get listed on ebay.
  19. Masterverse Mekanek and Gwildor/Orko are must buys for me. I'll likely consider Man-at-Arms, Trap-Jaw and Tri-Klops also but already bought the "deluxe" versions. I don't collect Origins.

    2023 NYTF

I'm really liking that Justice Lord Superman. I have the old animated one that DC Direct did, but this blows that out of the water, of course. I'm not really into that version of Batman Beyond though as I strongly prefer the classic black and red suit. The base that comes with these looks interesting, though!
  21. My complaint about the packaging is only that it's a change. It won't look good on a shelf next to the old packaging (just because it's different, not because it's worse). That's my only gripe. Since I don't open these (at least not yet), I would have preferred they stayed consistent (even if I was never a fan of the original packaging as it doesn't hold up very well at all to dings and dents). My concern about the possibility that they've reduced articulation is based upon the looks of the figures, but I hope that it's just "hidden" better. I'd love to see some hands on reviews. I had the full MOTU Classics wave from the Four Horesemen but received an offer that I couldn't turn down and sold it off. When the Masterverse line started up I foolishly talked myself into buying it but it doesn't hold a candle to the Classics sculpts by the Horsemen. I should probably just list my Masterverse collection online and see if I can get someone to buy the whole thing. Unfortunately it's just not as popular as that Classics line was so I'll likely get less than half of what I paid.
  22. I'm still hoping that some company will get around to making decent 1/12th scale figures of the original Star Trek crew at a decent price point ($30 or less). That's been a want of mine for a very long time now.
  23. Looking forward this. I know that a lot of people hated the first part, but I thought that it was fine. It wasn't as good as I had hoped, but still worth a one-time watch.
  24. I was intrigued until I saw that it was animated and then immediately lost interest.
