  1. I like the look of the figure, but there's just no way I'd personally ever pay $96 for it.
  2. That's a really sharp looking figure. I've become very annoyed with all of the weird variant store exclusives but this is one that I'm actually going to have to give some consideration to. I've got the Three Jokers and Gotham Knights versions already, but I really like the look of this one.
  3. I honestly don't think that I've ever seen a Jokerized style figure in the wild at retail. I feel like the Jokerized stuff is normally a Target exclusive, although this appears to also be available on EE, which is usually Blacklight or Sketch variants. Either my Super Target doesn't order them or they sell out before my weekly runs. I'm assuming they don't order them. I tend to see the Walmart exclusives like the DC vs Vampires stuff but never see the Target stylized versions like this locally. I'd likely only ever pick up something like this at under $10 - but doing these lets Todd tell DC that he's putting out a high number of figures per year, even if a lot of them are just repaints of existing figures with no new tooling whatsoever.
  4. I pre-ordered the Batzarro/Bizarro 2-pack but am passing on Classic Supes, Nightwing and Jokerized Red Robin. I've just never been a fan of that costume for Nightwing. Between the Atomic Skull 2-pack version, the Doomsday 2-pack version and the upcoming one with Krypto, I think that I'm good on Supes at this point (not to mention the DKR and Death Metal versions that I also already have). Now if they had done a 2-pack with a Lois similar to the artwork on the card and packaging then I probably would have purchased that.
  5. Normally I like the retro cards as I've got a ton of them for Marvel Legends, but for consistency I'd personally like to see them stick with what they started with for this line. I know that I'm out if they fully switch to retro card packaging. I personally don't want two different types of packaging and those big retro cards take up a lot of space and are harder to protect than the perfectly stackable little plastic rectangles. However, I'm also not their core consumer for this line as it's probably 4th/5th down in priority as far as lines that I collect - so they should definitely cater to whomever is buying the most!
  6. Nope, you're right. That was a typo. I meant to say that I hadn't opened anything in the windowed packaging. There's not really much I've bought in windowless at all... Tiger Force Duke with RAM, Falcon, some crimson BATS and Vypras, that's it - all $10 or less and of course I opened those to make sure that those figures were actually what was in the package. At that price point, I just couldn't resist and just work them in with my Marvel Legends stuff, which they scale pretty well with. That's basically the only time I buy any Power Rangers or Star Wars Black Series stuff too, when I find them under that $10 price point.
  7. Some good stuff here! I'm still trying to decide if I want to jump back in on this line. I bought every single figure they made in the regular windowless packaging (not the retro stuff though), but I've skipped every single thing they did in windowless packaging with the exception of a handful that I found on clearance for under $10 and couldn't pass up. I haven't opened a single figure that came in the windowed packaging and don't intend to. I like what they're doing, but can't collect everything.
  8. I'll be skipping this one, which is good because I've been buying too many lately.
  9. I love me some Batzarro! I still have the DC Direct version, which ironically I've always thought was too big and clunky - this one doesn't seem to fix those issues, but will likely be better articulated. I'm not crazy about that Bizarro and am not sure it's really an upgrade over the one McFarlane already did, but I'll be buying this 2-pack regardless.
  10. I do hope that the Epic HACKS Red Sonja is indeed 1/12th. It would have to be at a much lower price point than the Loose Collector version for me to bite, though. I'm just not paying $70 for a 6" figure, no matter how good it is. My limit for the max that I'm willing to pay is probably around half that.
  11. Red Tornado is available on Target.com for pre-order right now. I was able to get him today after missing him yesterday.
  12. I love what Loose Collector is doing, but not enough to pay their asking prices. They're always about 3x what I'd realistically be willing to pay.
  13. This Wonder Woman figure seemed to sell out almost immediately on all of Amazon, BBTS and Target. I was able to snag it on EE though and added a couple of sale figures to get free shipping. I was also able to get Red Tornado on Target after failing to get him yesterday.
  14. $50 for this, really?!? That feels like a stretch. It does feel like Todd has decided that his lines are established now and he can start raising prices. The Collectors Edition pricing on DC Multiverse figures of $29.99 seems to be the new standard for that line.
  15. I pre-ordered Captain Carrot and Superman, but I think that I'd be pretty pissed if I ended up receiving the Platinum variant for Supes/Krypto. Captain Carrot seems to have already sold out on Amazon? I put my orders in with Target anyway, but that still surprised me - maybe it's just a temporary thing.
  16. I've been pretty down on the "Collector's Edition" and the increased pricing, but in fairness this one seems to come with quite a bit of accessories, so perhaps getting a decent bang for the buck in this instance. I'm not crazy about that facial expression and the skin tone appears very light. The skin tone might just look light because the costume is so bright and glossy and might be impacted by the lighting as well. Two sets of extra hands, ax, shield, lasso, sword, regular stand and card with collectors edition stand, that's quite a bit for a McFarlane figure!! I certainly plan on picking up this figure!
  17. Having never owned any Super7 Ultimates stuff, I broke down and bought all of the first 6 waves of TMNT from the sale that BBTS has going on right now. They has them all 40-65% off. They've arrived but I haven't been able to find time to open them yet. The only Turtles stuff I have otherwise is all Playmates stuff that I likewise purchased on clearance. I did also buy one lone NECA Ultimate Foot Soldier that I found at Walmart at full price. Of this particular Wave 11 that was just announced I could only see myself being interested in Rat King and Damaged Foot Soldier.
  18. Yessir, Animal Man and Red Tornado are Day 1 pre-orders. They both look great!
  19. I haven't played in several years but I know that my local comic book shop still runs weekly games and the owner tells me that he still sells as many as ever. He always orders multiple cases of every release and seems to sell through them easily enough. I know that I personally have thousands of the things that I need to get around to organizing and trying to sell on ebay.... I played mostly in the early 2010s.
  20. Sgt Stalker is also right around $10. So are the Snake Eyes movie figures, but that's normal for them.
  21. Yes! This! How did we not get an image of Krypto???? He'll probably be a little statue like the Dawg that is coming with Lobo (but hopefully taller than Dawg!). I've got the old DC Direct versions of Krypto, Streaky, Ace the Bathound and Dawg but would always welcome upgrades. Captain Carrot is an instant buy and I'm sure that I'll probably get that Supes as well, but will be passing on GL Bats. I'm pretty sure that Captain Carrot is going to be one of my new favorites that has been done in this line. My current faves are Frankenstein, Frost King, Ghost Maker and Godspeed.
  22. I'd like to have that Zelina figure, but don't need any of the rest. I don't think that I've ever seen Del Toro and Wilde win a match....
  23. Only Ivy for me and I ordered her through Amazon, but Magna you might want to try BBTS again as they shown in stock for me right now. Update: I caved and pre-ordered Alicia Batgirl as well. I've got a plan to use that body to make a Cassandra Cain Batgirl. Might want to see how the Alicia head looks on the Gotham Knights Batgirl for a Stephanie Brown stand-in as well. If that doesn't work, there are a couple of other possibilities for that head sculpt... Might do a head swap on Ivy also, but really like that body. Update 2: Target has these on sale already for $21.19 each if you want to save a few bucks. They also have a couple of Target Circle promotions running right now and it appears that the majority of their DC Multiverse stuff is on sale right now.
