  1. Be warned! I ordered this the last time it came up on Amazon again. What was delivered was a beaten up box that was filled with CANDLES!!!! People are ordering these, and returning the boxes with garbage in them!! Amazon is clearly not checking any of their returns very well at all and just shipping them back out. I've returned the item to Amazon and placed another order on this round of availability. Hopefully I actually get the product this time.
  2. Okay, so real talk (not just hating), what does everyone thing the odds are that we'll see these new figures individually? Or can we expect two or three more multi-packs containing the Keaton/Clooney/Kilmer Batman before they announce the individual release? I totally understand the business reasons to do this - cash in on the FOMO and excitement to get people to buy the initial offerings, then announce subsequent "better" versions later that people may also buy (cough - batmobile - cough), then at the end finally announce/release the single packed/ultimate version. I love half of this pack, and am debating if the purchase is worth it now, or if we might get these individually later - I feel like yes to get the most out of the molds, but the FOMO is real - what if we don't?
  3. Wow. What a load of crap. Toddy saves the great looking, accurate colors for an SDCC exclusive and releases the overly bright-gray one as a mainline release. This feels like when he released the blue AzBats as a Walmart exclusive (that I never saw despite hunting daily for months). But at least with this one I guess we had a shot at the mainline version on Amazon, so minor silver lining there. The only option for that AzBats is Scalper-Bay for double or triple the price. But jeez - this, following up on the heels of offering a second, better-painted Keaton Batmobile after so many people scrambled to get the first one - McFarlane is really sticking it to his customers bigtime lately.
  4. Not too shabby on the likenesses - they've improved some. Now if Super7 can just get the final product to more closely resemble the preview renders they could really be onto something! There were some improvements on the Silverhawks including some face printing tech. Cautiously optimistic...
  5. Very cool. I wonder - if Storm is doing MKX stuff now, are they continuing with the MK2 and 3 stuff? Are we going to see stuff from several of the games from them? I've enjoyed the McFarlane stuff for MK11 but at the rate he keeps stuffing Batman and Spawn into the MK line, he'll never finish with the base lineup if he hasn't given up on it already. Maybe Storm will finally give me a modern take on Jax - he seems to be impossible to get from most lines despite him being in every Mortal Kombat game since his introduction in MK2 (with the possible exception of MK6).
  6. Very cool!! (couldn't help it lol). However, I'm still waiting for a release announcement for the MK2 classic SubZero (using the updated body from the SDCC Scorpion) that was previewed at the same time Reptile and Kintaro were.
  7. This absolutely smells of corporate incompetence. However, another scenario which wouldn't surprise me one bit is that it's a case of Hasbro talking out of both sides of its face. I could see a world where big box retailers are shrinking / cancelling their orders due to lower foot-traffic sales. E-tailer availability of product and ease of pre-orders becomes an easy scapegoat for cutting into their sales. So Hasbro starts to announce / tell big box purchasers that there aren't going to have as many pre-orders which puts things back in their favor. Big box is happier and maintains order levels. Meanwhile, Hasbro whispers in the ear of E-tailers that it's just a PR snafu and all is well. That way Hasbro doesn't have bad blood which affects the buying trends of the E-tailers either. Admittedly, it's a bit of a tin-hat theory, but one that would not surprise me given a lot of the stupid decisions Hasbro has been making lately in the name of maximizing profit.
  8. I feel like this whole "No Preorders" from Hasbro is just whiny, almost retaliatory BS. "Oh so you collectors all complained about preorders? Well we'll just take them all away - SO THERE!" Rather than doing anything meaningful to make preorders a better experience, they just cut it altogether. Another move that shows Hasbro is ever more concerned with themselves and not their consumers.
  9. Yeah, not good. I'd originally heard about this on Geek Dad Life. At that point it was a post from a former Dorkside employee. I've since cancelled all my preorders from Dorkside and moved them over to other online retailers.
  10. Cool pics! Man, I would love to actually be able to find this in my area. Refuse to go to Scalper-bay. Still on the hunt...
  11. Wow. Just...wow. And not in a good way. It looks like the ditched the whole 'rubber suit overlay' idea and went for more of a shiny vinyl fabric. The pelvis looks terrible - we complain about McFarlane stuff looking like diapers - but sheesh. Even the shoddy looking seams on the leg vinyl up near the crotch and the knees. His face also looks too bloated and sticks out too far from the cowl. This is so different from what they've been showing us. Initially I thought this was a different Keaton Batman from another company. Sorry to be so negative but jeez, the effort really doesn't seem to be there for something with a price on par with Mezco One:12 figures. Even the photography lacks effort or pride in their product - they didn't even straighten his bat-ears in a couple of the photos. To me it just raises red flags about the quality. I guess I'll keep waiting to see if Mezco ever comes around or another company can nail this one. At this point, I may just bite the bullet and go for the Hot Toys re-release.
  12. On the one hand, I'm glad these are still coming out. On the other, Todd is being Todd. Another Spawn - another Batman-focused character and we still don't have the main lineup finished yet. No Kano, Jax, Sonya, etc. I really love what he's doing with the actual MK characters so I'm tolerating these...just barely. If I'm being realistic, I doubt we'll get all the actual MK cast. We rarely do when someone picks up the license. Credit where credit is due, he does keep these at a reasonable price point, and I think he's put out more of the MK cast than most licensors though. Time will tell.
  13. Man the MotU 2-packs sold out fast. They lasted around 10-ish minutes.
  14. Very cool, but for a 1/6 scale, gotta fix those elbow joints. Also, I would love to get the previewed 1/12 version of this before they branch off yet again in another direction.
  15. Super excited for this one. Now to just get us a classic-look Beastman!
