  1. Header.jpgIf you have a secret, the best thing you can do is NOT to tell it to the guy that runs the Hasbro Pulse website. That guy cannot keep a secret! Whether is was the Haslab GI Joe Classified Series HISS Tank, the Star Wars The Black Series Reva Force FX Elite Lightsaber or even the Marvel Legends Galactus, it seems that every time a Haslab is about to be revealed, the Hasbro Pulse website cannot help but spill the beans a bit before that. And that's not all! Yesterday, a few more secrets were 'accidentally' revealed!

During the night, an investigator hired by ToyFarce to keep refreshing the Hasbro Pulse website managed to uncover several other secrets that the Hasbro Pulse website could not keep quiet about! Here are several screenshots that were taken during that night. Always be on the lookout!

All jokes aside, how does this keep happening? I am one person with a laptop and I manage to get those articles out at the time I want them to be out, so how does a multi-million dollar company not manage that? Was Cobra involved? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments!

More news at 11:00... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on the Hasbro Pulse website!

  2. Header.jpgIt's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we're having a look at the weird pairing of April O'Neil with Scott Stapp, the singer of Creed, by NECA (or 'Casey Jones', as it was written on the box). Those figures are from the farmhouse scene in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie, when April O'Neil goes there to recover after a successful surgery to get better looking knees articulations (I haven't seen the movie in a while).

NECA has taken a page from the old Kenner book, and started doing figures from scenes that only lasted a few minutes in the movie (like the "Shadow Warriors" 2-pack, that was taken from a flashback scene that lasted a couple of minutes), so we are now getting those figures with the clothes they wore during the farmhouse scene. Well... we're still buying them, so I guess it's working!

April has a different blouse and skirt from the previous version of the figure, and vest-less Casey has the same mask-less facesculpts as the single release from a few months ago. The set comes with... *inhales* an extra headsculpt for April, an extra masked headsculpt for Casey, extra hands for both, Casey's mask, a bottle of juice, a bottle of turtle wax, 2 drawings with 3 pencils, binoculars, tools (a hammer and a wrench) and a katana.

The Creed singer likeness is pretty spot on, and it goes very well with the TMNT Musical Mutagen tour set! NECA has always done some nice figures from musicians so let's hope they'll do even more down the line. I just hope they won't put them in two-packs with characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie!

  3. Header.jpgLast week was quite a roller coaster of emotion if you are a Mezco collector! There were teases all week that the Pink Skulls Chaos Club, a fan favorite, was making a comeback. Then, a new and improved 2.0 version of the Pink Skulls set became available for pre-order (and went to waitlist in under 2h)... And we finished the week with an avalanche of emails from retailers telling us that most of the Mezco products were now delayed. Fun!

First, the Pink Skulls 'took over' Mezco's social media, by posting pictures of previous Rumble Society figures with graffiti all over the pics (weirdly, there was no graffitied pictures of the Batman 89 figure...). It was a pretty fun stunt, a bit like when the G.I.Joe Haslab page got 'taken over' by Cobra. The whole Mezco website also had 'bugs' with the front page displaying only Pink Skull Chaos Club sets instead of all the other products. If you had decided to start collecting Mezco that day and wanted to learn more about their products, it might have been super confusing. Then, they released an actual video clip, complete with original punk song and stop motion!

Then, like clockwork, on wednesday at 1pm EST, the figures became available for pre-order. And oh boy, what a glorious set! They have different heads and outfits! At least 74 different hands! A vinyl with original music! The box can be turned into a stage! Much happy! Very wow! It would have been such a great week if it all ended there, right?... And then, on friday, the emails started pouring. "Pre-order ETA update alert"... "Pre-order ETA update alert"... If you got any of the Mezco one:12 Collective figures through BigBadToyStore, you probably got a few emails. Most of the figures are now delayed for a few more months. Was it all pre-determined, or just a wild coincidence? We'll let you decide based on those promo pictures from the latest set...

  4. CollectorPreOrder.jpg

It was a quiet Thursday when the unthinkable happened: Vincent, a collector who had pre-ordered some figures from the Marvel Legends Thor: Love and Thunder wave, stumbled upon those same figures at the superstore while doing groceries... and BOUGHT THEM! ToyFarce investigated.

"I do that a lot, actually! Most of the time, I pre-order the figures as a backup plan more than anything. Then, if I happen to find them in store before I got them from the pre-order, I just cancel my online order, and buy them at the store." Vincent said. "Sometimes, I also forget if I pre-ordered them already or not, so I just grab them, and then, when I get home, I check my emails to see if I had picked it up or not. If I did, I just cancel it. If they have already sent them, I'll just scalp...I mean help other members of the community later, when they have more value.

More news at 11:00... wait, did i pre-order that?

It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we're having a look at the Ronin Mandalorian in Beskar Armor, and his 'cub' Grogu from the Movie Realization Star Wars line from Bandai. This is the toy line where Bandai took characters from either Star Wars or Marvel, and gave them a 'Feudal Japan' twist. Darth Vader as a Samurai, the Stormtroopers as infantry, Darth Maul as a demon (Oni), Boba and Jango Fett as Ronin,… They all look very cool. But that one might end up taking the cake, with the addition of a little Grogu, complete with his samurai kimono and a little samurai top knot (squeee!).

Ronin Mando comes with extra sets of hands (as all the other figures from that line did), his jetpack, a katana and sheath, his blaster gun and his rifle. Grogu comes with his pram and a push cart, for that perfect 'Lone Wolf and Cub' look. The details on both figures are amazing. In terms of articulations, the armor gets a bit in the way, but you can still manage some cool poses. No Spider-man poses for this one. Grogu can move his head, and can barely move his arms. No Spider-man poses there either!

Compared to the previous Ronin Mandalorian (with the old, brown armor), this is pretty much more of the same, except the Beskar armor one does not have a cape, which would have been nice. I assume it might have been too tricky with the jetpack to have a removable cape, or a cape that needed to be pushed to the side all the time. Still, he would have looked a bit cooler with a soft goods cape.

There has been a few more figures teased, there was an IG-88 and an Admiral Ackbar figures that were shown at various conventions a couple of years ago, but never came out (IG-88 might be reworked into IG-11 down the line, who knows?) Then, more recently, at Star Wars Celebration, they teased an updated Boba Fett (with throne?), a Gamorrean guard and a remnant Stormtrooper. People could vote for which one they wanted next at the event.

More news at 11:00... This is the way.

  6. Picsart_22-06-20_15-57-14-869.jpgStar Wars: The Vintage Collection. Marvel Legends 'retro'. G.I.Joe Classified Series. Masters of the Universe Masterverse. Those are but a few of the current, modern toy lines that are relying heavily on our nostalgia. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, Gargoyles... those are all franchises that are hitting our toy shelves right now. But do you remember a time when we were longing for the old days, when we had those as children and there was nothing new coming out?

That is what Michael, who collects all sorts of vintage toy lines from his childhood is the most nostalgic about. “I would just look at my toy shelves and reminisce about how good those toys were, and wish that G.I.Joe would make a comeback, or wonder about what a new Masters of the Universe line would look like." he said. "Now, there is SO MUCH of it. We get reveals every few weeks, and we can just pre-order them or get new figures from the store while doing groceries... I miss the days when I would just miss them."

    What are YOU nostalgic about?

  7. Picsart_22-06-17_09-54-02-043.jpgEarlier this week, a piece of news caught the toy world by surprise: Funko, the brand behind those walls of Pops you see in every toy stores, has acquired Mondo, the brand behind those prints that you'll never see in person, because they sell out in seconds. A few days later, Mondo announced a new Limited edition Masters of the Universe 1/6 figure of He-Man that is sure to sell out in seconds. Coincidence?

An anonymous source told ToyFarce that there could be more to it: It turns out a lot of people working at Funko are also huge fans of Mondo's magnificent, exquisite art prints and posters, and have never been able to buy any. There are also lots of people that would really love to own one of the beautifully crafted 1/6 Masters of the Universe and Batman: The Animated Series figures that fly off the shelves right away, and can only be found at higher prices on the secondary market. "One easy solution: buy the company!" our source said. "That way, you can put a few of the items on the side before they go live online, and then you're sure to get them!".

Are you going to (try to) get that Limited Edition 1/6 Mondo He-Man, that will go live on June 21, 2022, exclusively for 24 hours on Mondo's website? If you want to make sure you'll get one, you could try getting a job at Funko!

  8. Picsart_22-06-13_15-20-24-228.jpgAn unfortunate event happened to Nicolas, a collector of various action figure lines, over the weekend. After several years of having the same action figures displayed on the top shelf inside a Detolf glass cabinet, Nick had to re-think his display, and move said figures to the bottom shelf. A recount of events by ToyFarce. Viewers discrection is advised.

It was Saturday morning, and Nicolas took a look at his toy collection, as he does everyday. Today felt different. The newer action figures had been piling up with no place to display them. A change was needed. On the top shelf of one of his glass cabinet laid the entire DC Direct Arrow-verse line of figures, with characters from the CW shows Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow,... Those figures had been on the top shelf for far too long. The shows had stopped being good for a while, and there will not be any new figure coming for that shelf. It was time.

After carefully dusting the figures one by one, moving the acrylic steps and background display, the time had come for those figures to be displayed on the bottom shelf. There is an unwritten rule about how you display things in a Detolf, with the things that you 'prefer' at the top, and the things that you appreciate less at the bottom. "I'll still appreciate them as much if they are at the bottom", he tried to convince himself, "I'll appreciate each shelf equally!" (he wouldn't). Now, with more space available for newer figures at the top, his eyes would be looking mostly at the top shelves. The content of the bottom shelves, slowly forgotten... until it's time for the bin.

More news at 11:00... I should get another Detolf.

  9. Picsart_22-06-10_11-12-19-667.jpgOn Wednesday, Hasbro held a G.I.Joe Hasbro Pulse Fan Stream on Youtube, with tons of reveals, announcements and even teases (Haslab coming soon?). Out of all those reveals, one would start a chain of event that would see Target 'out-Target-ed' by collectors! ToyFarce investigated.

"Usually, it is Target that sends a message to their customers telling them that their order was cancelled, out of the blue, not the other way around!" said a Target representative. If you were to watch the minute-by-minute statistics of the Hasbro Pulse G.I.Joe livestream, you would see that after they announced the action figure of Outback in his original outfit, the traffic on Target's website suddenly increased, as collectors went to cancel their Target Exclusive Tiger Force Outback orders. "It took us by complete surprise! We were still busy cancelling orders on other NECA and McFarlane Toys items, and didn't expect Hasbro to cause this."

Now, let's just hope that the Outback in his original costume figure doesn't end up as a Target exclusive as well...

More news at 11:00... And cancelling is half the battle!

  10. Header.jpgIt's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we're having a look at 2 more of the NECA figures that were available during the NECA Haul-a-Thon at Target: Demona and Bronx from the Gargoyles line. The NECA Haul-a-thon was a 4-weeks event that happened at Target and on Costumes.com, where a bunch of figures were available for a limited time there, before being available online everywhere.

Demona, one of the most dangerous gargoyles in the world, comes loaded with accessories: one extra 'angry' faceplate, 4 extra hands, an articulated Grimorum Arcanorum (can be opened to reveal text!), a "plasma beam weapon" and a bazooka! That girl is packing a lot of heat! Just like Goliath (and the repaint Thailog), she comes only with wide open wings, so she will occupy a lot of space on your shelf (unless a smaller character comes with closed wings later on, more on that later). That figure looks really good and has a ton of articulations. There was also no stiffness on any joints (which used to be an issue with NECA figures). Right out of the box, she looks amazing. If you want her to be even more scary, just remove the face plate and display her like that!

Bronx, the loyal gargoyle-beast is an impressive toy. It has a ton of articulations and looks fantastic. He comes with a extra 'angry' headsculpt, and a piece of meat to chew on. More importantly, he comes with Goliath's closed wings, which will allow you to display Goliath in a more neutral pose, and man, does he look awesome with those wings! The wide open wings are now in storage, and he will be forever displayed with the closed wings. I hope we'll see more of those coming as accessories with other characters, or an eventual accessory pack. Having the whole Manhattan Clan displayed with open wings will take up too much space, but the closed wings will enable you to buy more!

It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we're having a look at 2 of the NECA figures that were available during the NECA Haul-a-Thon at Target, the black and white version of The Universal Monsters Wolfman, and Griff Tannen from Back to the Future 2. The NECA Haul-a-thon was a 4-weeks event that happened at Target and on Costumes.com, where a bunch of figures were available for a limited time there, before being available online everywhere.

First off, the Wolfman, as portrayed by Lon Chaney  - I had picked up the black and white Frankenstein monster, so now, I have to pick all the other ones in black and white as well, don't I? Isn't that the rule? Anyway... The figure comes with a beautiful art box (as is tradition with NECA), and has a ton of accessories: 2 extra headscuplts, including a Lon Chaney one, along with human feet and hands to turn your wolfman into a... man, his wolf's head cane and a wolf trap. It also comes with a tiny stand because since the feet are wolf-like, it wouldn't be able to stand. A cool figure, looking forward to have more of them to crowd the movie shelf.

Griff Tannen, Biff Tannen's grandson in 2015 was a figure I was really looking forward to, since it's one that has the most crazy outfit from the 'future' (as imagined in the late 80's). Tom Wilson played both Biff and Griff in the movies (spoiler?), so the headsculpt, which was already great on the young Biff Tannen figure, is still pretty spot on. Griff comes with a second headsculpt (without helmet), his extendable baseball bat and his Pitbull hoverboard (or Pitboard). Just like the BTTF2 Marty, the board comes with a little transparent stand so that you can display it as if it were hovering (why haven't we figured out that technology by now?). A fun figure! There's still one Doc Brown from the first movie that was announced and should come out soon, and after that, maybe we'll start to get figures from BTTF3? Crossing fingers...

NECA Haul-a-thon review part 2, with Demona and Bronx from the Gargoyles line, next week!

  12. Header.jpgBack in February, Bandai Namco announced that they would be changing their logo, and that the new logo would appear not only on video games, but also on all of their other products, including toys. Now, the new logo has started to pop up on some of their new products... and it looks like a road sign from France.

"Our new logo designer just spent a summer doing a road trip in France, but it has nothing to do with that" said a representative from Bandai Namco. "When we sent our new logo for copyright filing, there must have been a mix-up because they sent us back several road signs, and they said they had sent the rest to a small town in the south of France, which they thought was ours. So now, there is a town in France that uses our logo for their road signs."

  13. Header.jpg"No more single joints!" Those are the words of Adam V., a self-proclaimed "Articulation junkie", who has decided to go the extra mile and get surgery done in order to have the same articulations as his favorite action figures. ToyFarce examined the situation.

"My favorite figures always have a ton of articulations, especially import figures (Mafex, SH Figuarts,...)." said Adam. "Bicep swivel, double jointed elbows and knees, thigh swivels, ab crunch, the more articulations, the better. I read somewhere that the human body has about 360 joints. I think I can do better than that. We don't even have a full bicep swivel, for example. So I made an appointment with a surgeon, and asked if it was possible. First I had to do a psychological evaluation, for some reason, but now that it's sorted out, I'm gonna do it!"

After that, Adam is already planning his next operation: bicep swivels.

  14. Header.jpgIt's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

    1. This week, we're having a look at the DC Multiverse Three Jokers wave from McFarlane Toys. I have been sitting on that wave for a while, because I was waiting for the third Joker, the Gamestop exclusive one, to complete the set. Luckily, a friend of mine managed to get his hands on it (thanks Ryan!) and now, the wave is complete!

'Three Jokers' is a great comic book story arc written by Geoff Johns with art from Jason Fabok, and it is pretty much a direct sequel to the classic 'The Killing Joke' by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, with similar art and panels. It follows a story that was teased a few years before, when Batman got access to all existing knowledge when sitting on the Mobius chair, and when he asked for the Joker's true identity, the answer was 'There are three'.

First off, the good guys: This wave has a fantastic Batman (aNoThEr BaTmAn?!?), Red Hood and Batgirl, which are the 3 main characters of the story. The design is the same as Jason Fabok's art in the book, and that Batman is pretty much 'the perfect' Batman from that DC Multiverse line. Simple yet efficient design. Batgirl is also better than the one from the very first wave. Articulations are the usual for that line, and the figures display great. Batman comes with a grapple gun, Red Hood comes with a crowbar (morbid, much?) and Batgirl has a yellow batarang and a grapple gun.

And now, the best part: the villains! The three jokers have a different name to differentiate one from another: The Clown and The Criminal were the regular ones in that wave, and The Comedian was the Gamestop exclusive. The Clown has a pink jacket while the other two sport the usual purple. The Clown comes with a crowbar and a laughing fish, The Criminal comes with a cane (a thick cane, for...reasons?) and The Comedian comes with a camera and a crowbar (that's a lot of crowbars in this wave!).

More news at 11:00... "No...That's not possible!"

  15. Header.jpgLast week, there was a rumor going around about a new project from Hasbro, the 'Selfie Series' which would let you have your own face on an action figure, after there was some sort of bug on the Hasbro Pulse website and some areas that shouldn't have been accessible were accessible for a short period of time (something like that). The whole thing seems like a fun idea, but not everyone was happy about it...

ToyFarce heard from the S.C.A.L.P. industry that they were unhappy, due to the fact that those figures will be very hard to resell: "Nobody will want to buy a figure that has my face on it! This will be unscalpable!" said one of the members. "What are we going to do now? Should we just take people's pictures from social media, have the figure made, and then try to force/sell them to them?".

More news at 11:00... Finally, we will be able to put our own face on the Marvel Legends The Hood figure!

  16. EyesHeader.jpgIt's Wednesday, and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having an exclusive early look at the "All Direction Eyes" pack from McFarlane Toys. Back in February, we reported that McFarlane Toys had found a solution for the 'side eyes' issues that a lot of collectors seemed to be having, and was going to release a pack of eyes, so that you can have your figure looking in any direction you want. Since then, a weapons pack has also be announced, to solve the lack of weapons some figures happen to have. With the Munition Pack and the All Direction Eyes Pack, your figures will now be closer to perfection!

We received a tupperware box, similar to the ones Todd McFarlane has in his videos when he reveals the test shots, so we believe this comes directly from the factory. What a treat!

This is the figure BEFORE the All Direction Eyes, and AFTER (on the left).

As you can see, the figure can now look to either side, but also up or down. You chose the direction! We will now test those eyes with multiple figures!

Perfect for the figures from The Batman movie. "The cat and the bat" have never looked better.

Older figures are also compatible. Don't forget to put them on all the eyes you can find on the figure.

The All Direction Eyes provide a perfect look for the Year 2 Batman set.

The White Knight Batman, one of the best and most accurate figure from the DC Multiverse line to me, can only be improved by these. Now, he can drive the Batcycle AND look at the road at the same time.

There are also bigger eyes for bigger figures. All Direction Eyes can also be added on figures that do not have eyes.

Also, those are not only for the DC Multiverse figures, as they will also give your Spawn Universe figure that 'je-ne-sais-quoi' they didn't know they needed!

Special thanks to McFarlane Toys for sending those early test models to us for review!

  17. Reviewer.jpgIt seem to happen a lot in our hobby: You get a new toy, you unbox it, and really enjoy it... then you watch a review of it from one of your favorite Youtubers (be it your Shartatron, DCEUCollector24, B-Amazing, Perpendicular Universe, ToyLad, etc...) and they hate it. Later, some would start to see the flaws in the figure and start to not like it that much anymore either. "It wasn't that great anyway..." some say to convince themselves.

We sat down with Nicolas, a collector who now only buys toys that have been given a good review by his favorite Youtuber: "I used to buy lots of figures back then, before I started watching reviews on the internet. Now, I only buy figures that another person likes on the internet. It makes my life a lot easier. No way I will ever get another figure that the toy community end up not liking again." he said. "But I made a mistake... I had pre-ordered a figure, and it turns out it arrived early, so I didn't get to watch a review of it before I got it. Now, I don't know what to do. I kinda like it, but I don't know if the toy community will... I'm scared. What if they don't like it? What if they never review it?"

We hope Nicolas will feel better soon, and that his opinion is validated by someone else on the internet.

  18. Funko.jpgEveryone loves Funko Pops, right? There are thousands of franchises that have been made into Funko Pop figures, and even fans of the most obscure things can find Pop figures of their favorite characters. According to the internet, there is probably over 20,000 different products since the very first Funko Pop in 2010. That's A LOT of Pops.

But according to an anonymous source, it might not be too long before Funko has actually done every single existing pop culture characters (real or fictional) in their Pop line. "We estimate that by September 2024, all of the currently existing franchises will have been made as a Funko Pop. Several times, in fact. Regular, repaint, exclusive, newer version, flocked,... Call it the "rule 34" of toys: If it exists, there's a Funko Pop of it."

So what's next for Funko Pops? Well, once all franchises have been made, Funko will allegedly start to do regular people, like your neighbors, the mailman, your parents, and of course... you! "The goal is to have more Funko Pops on the planet than there are people." (if that isn't already the case...).

Will you be picking up a Funko Pop of your favorite cashier or bus driver?

  19. InstaHeader.jpgOn Wednesday, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team held their first Instagram Live show, as opposed to the usual Youtube 'Fan First' livestreams. Announcements, reveals, we didn't know what to expect, but when Dwight Stall and Ryan Ting appeared on our screens, we certainly didn't expect this...

As soon as Dwight and Ryan popped up on our Instagram screens, we knew something was off... "Something is different... Did they get a new haircut? No, it's not that..." we thought. "Is it because we see Dwight with a background that doesn't look assymetrical or wobbly? Still not that. Oh, I see! There's a dog filter on!"

It was only made worse by the fact that the dog's tongue came out anytime they opened their mouth.

No one was safe, as even the action figures had the dog filter on them. It's a good thing that a lot of the figures revealed that day had a mask on (or even a paper bag on !) to spare them the humiliation.

Fortunately, it didn't seem to phase Dwight or Ryan, as they pulled through and had a great livestream with tons of awesome reveals. All info about the actual livestream can be found here. Most of the figures are now up for pre-orders, so go get yours!

It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we're having a look at the Bojji and Kagge figures from Ranking of Kings by Bandai Spirits/S.H. Figuarts/Tamashii Nations/whatever they are called this week!

Ranking of Kings is a fantastic anime with beautiful animation (reminds me of early Ghibli movies), a great story, nice characters with depth, and a lovely soundtrack (both opening and ending theme are so good). Can you tell I liked it? If you haven't seen it, do try to watch it. I didn't get into it right away, but as soon as I started watching, I knew I would need a plastic representation of Bojji on one of my shelves. The options were either a Banpresto mini statue, a Good Smile Nendoroid figure that comes out in November, or a nice, articulated S.H.Figuarts figure. The choice was easy...

Prince Bojji, along with Kagge, comes with 5 different head plates, 7 extra hands, his green cape, his training stick, a sheath and his trusty rapier. The figure has a good amount of articulations, considering his size (tiny), and he's surprisingly easy to balance, even with his big head that I thought would make him 'top heavy'.

The facial expressions are great, and allow for lots of different poses and situations. I would say that the white on the eyes could have been more white, though. Also, the head without faceplate is pure nightmare fuel.. Kagge could have also used maybe one ball joint for the mouth/arm, or the possiblity to remove it. Otherwise, a solid set! Hopefully, Bandai does more characters from the show, who has plenty of great designs to choose from.

  21. Picsart_22-05-13_18-49-23-330.jpg"WE'RE SLASHING PRICES!" - Those are the words displayed on the store front of the new toys and collectibles store near Camp Crystal Lake, in Cunningham County, New Jersey. The new store will have its grand opening this Friday 13th, and the locals are hoping for a ton of visitors over the weekend.

"We haven't had much tourism since... you know... the events." said Jack B. who lives nearby. "We hope there will be a lot of mother and children visiting the store, especially since Mother's day was last week."

"This store is going to ki... ki... kill ma... ma... my wallet!" said Pamela V., a local mother.

We hope the prices are the only things that will be getting slashed today...

  22. Picsart_22-05-13_12-28-52-246.jpgMcFarland. MacFairlane. McFreemont. McFragglerock. We've all seen Todd McFarlane's name butchered to death by fans, whether they love or hate him (even if a large part won't ever admit that they like some of his products, to look cool on the internet).

The latest wave of spelling mistakes came with the announcement of the Munitions Pack, a weapon pack for all McFarlane Toys 7-inch figures, something that fans had been demanding for a long time, especially with the DC Multiverse figures not being able to have firearms, and 'fans' didn't disappoint:

"MacFairlane Toys is finally doing something right, but the weapons should have come with the figures in the first place!" (It has been documented for a while that it is a Warner Bros thing, though).

"McFarland's weapon pack is cool, but the weapons won't probably fit with other brands... SMH" (as if McFarlane had an obligation to make weapons for other toy lines...).

"McFairmont's weapon pack sucks! Mezco did it better." (This is an actual comment I read. "McFairmont". I hope autocorrect was involved...).

As a P.S.A. for future releases, please remember: It's Mc-Far-Lane. McFarlane Toys.

  23. Picsart_22-05-08_12-30-10-761.jpgA week ago, the Hasbro Marvel Legends team (Dwight Stall, Ryan Ting and Jesse Falcon) teased on the Marvel Comics podcast that "there might be, perhaps, but likely, a new Haslab project in 2022, allegedly. Maybe. Fingers crossed. But yeah." (Something like that).

ToyFarce investigated long and hard, and tried to gather information about all the potential candidates for a Haslab project, and we came to the conclusion that it could only be one thing: the Thanos-Copter.

The Thanos-Copter is clearly one of the most important vehicle of the Marvel Universe. Some say it's the Bluebird, the Quinjet or even the Helicarrier, but they pale in comparison to the almighty Thanos-Copter. First, you have to imagine that Thanos, the Mad Titan, took helicopter training classes in order to be able to pilot it. There was a time when the Almighty Thanos took a break from conquering planets in the afternoons to be at his lessons. The Thanos-Copter has even made appearances in the MCU and the Lego Marvel video games. If that doesn't convince you that it's the most important vehicle, I don't know what will.

No official announcement date has been given as of writing.

  24. Picsart_22-05-05_10-52-38-520.jpgIt has been a few weeks now since Hasbro has started to introduce, in their livestreams, the idea of using less plastic on their packaging, with 'window-less packaging'. Fans have been very vocal about not being happy about the change, mentioning that, because of nefarious figure swappers, the new boxes will pretty much be 'mystery boxes', where you won't be able to know what figure is in the box and what you are going to get. Other collectors, who loved to spend 30 minutes at the store staring at each figures to pick the one with the best paint apps were not so keen about it either (What are they going to do with all that free time then?). But a group of collectors may have found the solution... Recycling!

"There is no need to make more plastic, when there's already a ton of plastic that is peg warming our shelves at the store." said Bruce B., a collector from Wyoming. "What Hasbro can do is recall the 80,000 Black Series Lando Calrissian figures, along with the entire Eternals wave that are clogging our pegs, melt them down, and re-use that plastic to make the windows for the boxes. For one Constable Zuvio figure, you could probably make 6 or 7 window packagings. So imagine the numbers when we get to the Eternals waves!".

We will keep you informed as things develop.

  25. Nacelle.jpgRobo Force: You might not remember that name, and there is a reason for that. In 1984, Robo Force, by Ideal, was set to be the biggest robot line, with a series of toys and an animated series in the plans. That same year, at the Toy Fair, Transformers was introduced to the world... The rest is history. The line would see a couple of revivals, but never really became big. Fast forward to October 2021, when the Nacelle company (the company behind awesome TV shows like 'The Toys that Made Us' and 'The Movies that Made Us' on Netflix, 'A Toy Store Near You' on Amazon Prime, a ton of great podcasts and stand up comedy specials, and even that Zac Efron travelling show, which was surprisingly captivating!) announced that they bought the Robo Force license and were planning a revival!

In order to make the best out of Robo Force, Brian Volk Weiss, the founder of the Nacelle company, would team with toy designer extraordinaire David Vonner, to make the first designs and prototypes for the line. The original figures from 1984 had the particularity of having a suction cup in order to stand up on your table, so that was definitely a component that needed to be implemented in the new figures. You can see Wrecker and Maxx Steele below.

ToyFarce got the exclusive scoop from Brian Volk Weiss that a team of the world's best scientist has been hired to improve and bring us the best modern suction cup technology! (Brian replied 'sure lol' when we asked him.) We've all had bad experiences with suction cups. They can sometimes stop to stick on the surface they're on, or not work if wet,... The team of scientists will work around the clock until the suction cup technology is at its optimal!
