New teenage mutant ninja turtles
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to thisweaksname's topic in Properties From The 80 & 90's
This is hard for me, because I believe in having all four. I would want Ralf before Donny, but I voted for Don just to keep it fair. ....Yes, I know. I told you who should be next, but voted the other way. -
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE MOTUC'S

I really think making August 6th the cut off day is way too soon. That's like 10 days away. -

No apology required. People have opinions and they can be jarring at time. That's all. -
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE MOTUC'S
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to TOYMAN65's topic in Masters of the Universe
Oh I got your point. Just think of it like the Mods are the Neighborhood Association and we are telling you to stop having loud parties and not leave garbage laying around or we will foreclose on your house and leave you homeless. The "City" (JayC) gives us that power. Have a nice day! @smilepunch@ -
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE MOTUC'S
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to TOYMAN65's topic in Masters of the Universe
JayC? @loll@ He doesn't have to deal with this with Mods around. I've deleted all but Wheeljack35's post just as an example. The Thing, cool it. You got your shot in. Keep it at that. TOYMAN65, some of us have lousy tact. Try not to get upset, and then post some delegating remark. It never works. -
Let me state this for those who I may have offended with this thread. If it wasn't for the Original Cartoon, this conversation would not exist. The fact that TMNT went world wide and became a mega-million dollar enterprise is the reason that my opinions matter at this point. If it wasn't for that "heartbreak", I wouldn't have TMNT today. Like I said, my heart has thawed. I now get to enjoy years of shows and movies that are available to me right now. For me, much of this is new, and I'm glad.

I never had expectations of TMNT being an 80's cartoon at all. The fact that it was changed so drastically, yet using the image and likeness of the comics was my biggest gripe. After that my "preciuos comic" changed as well. I'm sorry, but a pet peeve of mine are fans of the old comic book who act like the original cartoon is the worst thing ever. Ya, I can see that, and normally I would agree. With most of the 80's cartoons I liked both comics and cartoons. The thing is with G.I.Joe and Transformers, they kept the comic going. With TMNT, it was like they were trying to hide the original stuff from kids. @loll@ I guess I can't blame them.

I got Classics Leonardo today
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to Wheeljack35's topic in Properties From The 80 & 90's
Wow, these guys ARE big. That's great! They are right in scale with MOTUC and almost in scale with my G.I.Joe Sigma 6 ninjas. -

Whoo-Hoo!! Great work pal. If I could ask a favor, could you post some picks with some DC Universe Classics? I don't have any Thundercats to compare with. -
This is something that has weighed on me since I was 11 years old. It was the summer of 1985. I only spent summers with my grandparents before I was 12. After that, I was a permanent resident with them. Good times. (at least after that) There was this local comic shop that was in a dingy basement that I would hit all of the time in my home town. It was then that I picked up a reissue of Mirage Studios Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2. This comic really struck home for me. I was a kicked around outcast when living with my mom and was bullied a lot by other kids because I was always the new kid at school. Now that I was living with grandparents (that spoiled the crap out of me), my world opened up. I started buying any thing Mirage Studios put out as far as TMNT. I was hooked. It was gritty, tough and well... "kid friendly"(at least for me) at the time. I remember collecting the first 7 issues that came out. I grew attached to Michelangelo because I was attached to Nunchucks. However, the four of them completely fascinated me altogether. I wanted to see them rise up an conquer the world the world of crime. From the gritty New York sewers to being top dogs as far as recognition. ....Then my heart snapped. I was dumbfounded by this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn5iCn_T68c When I saw this, ....there was no words that I could find to described what I conceived to be a total sell out at the time. The magic for me was gone. All that was left was an image of four goofy turtles with ninja gear with new catch phrases like "Pizza!!" and "Cow-a-bunga, Dudes!!" ....Recently, I finally opened up and thawed my heart. The new Nickelodeon Turtle designs have spiked my interests (and I now have them. Thank you Toys R Us). I just by chance stumbled apon the Turtles Forever vid on YouTube for the first time. OMG, I cannot tell you how much I loved the ending. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKWVLmDWYm8 This has just recently brought me back from the Turtle grave, and it feels good. I have lived under a shell because of my hatred for too many years. I just wanted to share this with people who can understand in one way or another. I am now a Turtle fan forever. #US1#

The coward knew where a lot of unsuspecting, unarmed, innocent people would be gathered so he could do maximum damage. If you're going to cancel the movie, you may as well cancel the next summer blockbuster, all sporting events, all airplane rides, close all the malls...etc. etc. Unfortunately this kind of stuff will never be completely preventable. My thoughts as well. However... The only reason France canceled any showing has to do with "copy cat" killers just waiting for crap like this to happen. In other words, I don't blame them. The new movie can wait a week or two.

think about it if the others in the theter had aguns he would of been killed and alot of others would of been saved The only gun control I like id if people have guns to protect themselves it makes weirdos and thugs think twice before opening fire Actually, If the guy was that unstable. Patrons having their own firearms, Probably wouldn't have made a difference to him. Still he would of been taken out before he could of killed more Agreed. If just one licensed carrier was there, less would have died and we wouldn't have to worry about a trial for this trash.

Street date for the TMNT figures???
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to jedimaster-c's topic in Properties From The 80 & 90's
Both Toys R Us stores in my area now have them. (N. San Antonio, TX) The one closest to me had to get them out from the back while the other said they had a whole display set up. What was funny was the guy who helped me. He said he's collected just about all of the Turtle line and he doesn't like the new ones. "They just look terrible." he said. We both had a good laugh. @lol@ I told him about the Classics that should be out soon and that made him happy. I personally love these new Nickelodeon versions. -

My apologies if this seems like an violation of privacy, RockThe Plank. I will state this on the basis that members willing give personal info in bios. I'm guessing Florida, "G-town" or something if the bio is up to date. Georgetown around lake George. -
I was stunned when I saw this. http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/13/showbiz/stallone-son-dead/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 No parent should have to see any of their children die. I'm a big Stallone fan and I just feel terrible for him and his family. He's always been a positive roll model for me. May you find peace in your grief Mr. Stallone. God bless.

My area Targets say "Available" on the Nick ones, but when I call they say that they are only in the computer and won't get them until August. -
I would love to see Mattel make a.......
Capt.S.G.Wiseman replied to Starscream49's topic in Masters of the Universe
One really nice display rack would be great. Weapons Racks are fine and dandy, but a Head Rack could be quite useful in this Classics Line. -
I think the reason why a defensive player cannot establish position is because of all of the steps an offensive player can take to the basket. In the old days if you took three steps it was traveling. Now it's "OOOW-AAHH!! What a great score!!" after they practically ran the basket in for a touchdown. Today's players are more physical and less skilled. They can turn the ball in any direction while dribbling and its considered "talent". I call it traveling.
