  1. Yes, at a Target about 8 miles from my house. Still hoping to find a masked Joker!
  2. There should be more shipments of these figures still to come. I saw 5 Batman figures in each of 3 different stores near me, but I’m in MN where Target is based.
  3. I guess this is Todd’s take on “retro figures”…meaning an inch smaller and much less articulation than on his DC Multiverse versions. If he makes ‘89/‘92 (Keaton) Batman figures, I suppose they will be the same 6” scale and have the same limited articulation as the ‘66 West ones do.
  4. Here are a couple of photos of the Mattel crew scanning the #1 Batmobile. They added reference dots to the car as well as waxed it so they could detect subtle body contours that are missed in photos.
  5. Depending on which/whose car (replica?) you sat in, the interiors can vary quite a bit depending on what the base car is. I’ve sat in over 10 replicas and some are downright crammed! Most replicas used a Lincoln Towncar but some newer ones use a stretched-frame Corvette base. After sitting in THE #1 car in Barris’ shop, I can tell you that it had PLENTY of leg room!…and shoulder space! Remember, this was a hand-build concept “car of the future” in 1955!…and it had a center canopy that cleared the occupant’s heads and raised up on hinges on the back canopy! Also, Mattel did a detailed scan of the # 1 car in Barris’ shop back in 2005/2006, which led to the most accurately proportioned (Hot Wheels) toy car replicas ever! These same scans were more than likely used for the 1:12 plastic car, which is why it seems so roomy! McFarlane would NOT have had access to those scans so he would have done what all the manufacturers going back to Corgi in 1966 did…make their own (inaccurate) body sculpts!
  6. Have I?! I appeared as Batman at events with the ‘66 Batmobile designer George Barris a few times and in 2007, he allowed my son and I to have a private photo-op in his shop with THE #1 screen-used car!!!… …and, you’re right, it’s LOOOONG!!!
  7. You got that right! I’ll buy a McFarlane TV Batmobile just to have one but my McF Batman & Robin figures may just end up in a Mattel Batmobile!
