  1. Seriously, screw this line. I'm not above praising a company when they're doing a great job in providing product that customers want, however Hasbro and all their Target exclusives have been a pain in the butt and none of them compares to the absolute torture that is GI JOE Classified Cobra Island.

You would think that they had learned their leason by now: "You know what? These are figures that are on high demand, let's just make them available on our website, Target had their chance". Honestly, I've never seen a line that takes all the fun out of the hobby like this one does.

Huge fan of He-Man. Not a huge fan of Kevin Smith. He does seem like a nice guy, but his films and direction are hit and miss at best. And lately they're mostly miss. He can make the hell outta some low budget, average schmo, low expectations type flick like Mallrats and Chasing Amy and do better than expected, but give him a credit card and a highly anticipated property with great production value, not so much. It looks great, it hits the nostalgia spot right on the head and it makes me pretty damn excited, but something tells me, and yes, I'll admit I've been listening to all the naysayers of Youtube, that this is another Bait-N-Switch. I feel like the first episode(s) are gonna give us the impression of picking up right where they left off, like Smith says, but then it will change to He-Man being put on the sideline by either losing his powers or being imprisoned and it will all be up to Teela and her crew to either rescue him or restore him. At the end he will declare her as the better leader and the future will be Teela leading the Masters of the Universe. There's probably a very specific reason it's no longer called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

If I'm wrong, and I truly hope I am, I will be the first to admit it, but you gotta know by now this kinda stuff is right of Smith's ally. Still hoping for the best, but being accustomed to the fact that the rug has been pulled out so many times in the past I'm not even surprised anymore.

My sentiments exactly, it's just such a cliché at this point. If a property from the past gets relaunched (because Hollywood is pretty much out of ideas) you just know it's going to have a "spin" to it.

So? So if I'm gonna pay twenty bucks for a Power Ranger, I want it to like the Power Ranger. I dare say that Kim was a lot more accurate than Cassie here. At least she was the correct race!

This head looks more like Miranda Cosgrove! Not an unattractive head-sculpt, but but it ain't Patricia Ja Lee.

What!? Do you actually own the Kimberly figure? That headsculpt is now infamous for being one of the absolute worst ones on the entire line.

And to make matters even worse, they are releasing several versions of the MMPR pink ranger and Hasbro decided not to give the Kimberly headsculpt a re-do.

Look again. The last time I checked, Cassie was Asian.

So? I doesn't look half bad, at least the headsculpt is pretty. With the Kimberly Hart headsculpt not only the likeness wasn't there but the face itself was just HORRIBLE. To me, there's no comparison.

Check the image, THAT'S what Hasbro should've given us.

I've wondered the same thing. I also wonder what the chances of the 6" line expanding are. I like what I see, and wouldn't mind the line carrying on with more Joes.

I think it would be a smart way for Hasbro to release vehicles, I mean, I don't expect anything too faultless out of the basic line but at least it would mean getting vehicles at a reasonable price.

is he now? cause not a single figure from this line has been released yet. so how can you tell what the quality is?

That's true. I guess we'll have to wait and see. The point is I have no problem dropping whatever line is not making it fun for collectors to enjoy the hobby and I do think the reason companies like Hasbro get away with it is because most collectors are willing to bend the knee to whatever the circumstances are just to get their desired figures. Are you one of those collectors who are willing to pay the price of a full wave just to get an exclusive figure on the secondary market? If you are, I don't see why it would surprise you that another "sibling" line exists and is trying to fulfil the wishes of collectors.

And hey, if the figures from AF turn to be crap, I'll also be calling them up for it. Right now the ball is on their court, let's see what kind of product they can deliver.

Or get them both. GI Joe Classified has finally found it's way and it's getting easier to find exclusives. I found 2 Bludds over the weekend and the Pulse order arrived. Vala's AF line is nice (although the villains are kind of lame) but he's not so nice. He's unprofessional and kind of a jackass. There's no need for him to bad mouth the other companies the way he does (specifically Hasbro, Super7, and Boss Fight Studios), and if he wants me to plop down $400 to buy his first wave of figures that he's using GI Joe Classified to help sell (he has an Unclassified accessory set to help make Gung Ho more accurate to the show for example), then he needs to cut that crap out and be a good sport about it. Otherwise, screw Action Force.

Not a chance, I've been burned too many times. I really don't understand you saying they're finding their way when they keep pumping out more Target exclusives. Now I don't know about you but I live in California and I have three Targets near my area and none of them have any JOE figures. Add to that the ridiculousness that is Hasbro Pulse, charging customers for early access and even those people aren't able to get the figures. Just trash.

Hasbro had to know this would be a popular line so I don't get why they don't just give collectors what they want. I love the hobby but I can't afford to:

    a) Pay outrageous prices on the secondary market (Beach head anybody?).

    b) Spend a ridiculous amount of time tracking the figures online. Not everybody gets to log in at a certain time to be able to buy the figures before they sell out on the Hasbro/Target website.

I don't really know what the dude from Valaverse has been saying lately but I do know he has the intention of delivering easy to get action figures and that's all that matters to me.
