Memory Toys - Steel Black Bear Action Figure
Admiral_Brockbar replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
I think 5K will up the price once it arrives in stock. I have noticed them do that with several figures I have preordered, like the Combatants gladiator figures. I expect it to jump up closer to BBTS prices upon arrival. I was not a fan of the new paint job on the brown bear...I was happy that 5KToys allowed me to cancel my deposit and reorder since there was such a change in the prototype and the final product. I pre-ordered the Black bear which I liked much better....gonna be my New Mutants Demon Bear lol -
While I would hope this line would continue, I don't see it continuing past the main cast. I would love to see an animated Warduke and Strongheart, Some monsters such as Bullywugs or pig face orcs. (I would army build Bullywugs) I doubt there would be enough 'profit margin' for a beholder or bigger monsters.

Super7 - Dungeons & Dragons ReAction Figures
Admiral_Brockbar replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
My comment was poorly written. I meant that if they are doing ReAction figures, I would hope for Ultimates too...maybe...I can't really afford that though -
I feel attacked Although I do have over 10 potential contenders for the top 10 based on a couple of toys actually received and promotional pictures giving me an idea of what is coming. Most of them don't quite deliver and make it (or actually be physically delivered within the year), while other figures end up surprising me.

Super7 - Dungeons & Dragons ReAction Figures

I know there are mixed feelings about Super7 Ultimates, but I really like them. I hope this may be a prelude to some ..maybe some monsters and non-human figures in 7" scale. -
Memory Toys - Ancient Polar Bear BBTS Exclusive Figure
Admiral_Brockbar replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
I preordered the brown one from 5kToys as well. I was fine with the $70 price tag there, although Im not sure if I like the colors of the final product tbh. I have the Karate Mr. G gorilla from Memory Toys and was pleased with the quality and expect more of the same. The polar one looks great, but at $110, its a bit steep for me to pick up as a duplicate recolor. -
ToyFarce News: Pile Of Unopened Toys - When To Consult A Doctor?
Admiral_Brockbar replied to ToyFarce's topic in ToyFarce
Thanks to all the holiday sales and an ill timed BBTS shipment, I had quite the stack pile up with no time to open them (I was grabbing all the OT I could get to pay for everything) It took me a couple of days to open them at a leisurely pace so I could enjoy it, but now I have a pile of loose figures and toys than need to be integrated into the shelves. -

Fresh Monkey Fiction - BigBadWorkshop Monster Force
Admiral_Brockbar replied to toynewman's topic in Action Figure News
Loving this set...especially Dracula. They will fit nicely with Marvel Legends and some creature commandos/blade displays. Declan was a little boring to me, but I can just pop on one of the extra vampire soldier heads and expand those ranks -
I used to buy Magic cards just for fun...no tourney stuff, just casual play. The constant price hikes of their Commander decks and packs (combined with their toy price hikes) put it out of budget for me. They make it impossible to keep up multiple hobbies and seem to be focused just on short term earnings, no care for longevity despite what they may put out in press releases. Milk it dry and move on to the next affordable IP they can purchase, drive up prices and bury.

New 7" Omega Spawn Figure From McFarlane Toys Revealed!?!
Admiral_Brockbar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Seems like a lot of open space in that package...it almost looks like megafig packaging. Odd -
McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Gold Label Tim Drake Robin
Admiral_Brockbar replied to BradDCUGeek's topic in Toy Reviews
Why Todd? Just Why? I don't understand the decision process in some of these figures. There have been plenty of times where he could have reused upper legs, arms, etc and it would have been perfectly fine, but they sculpt new ones and then when this figure just needs a different set of upper arms, they phone it in a paint over a sculpt for another, presumably upcoming, robin figure that doesn't fit with the overall look. I was interested in this figure until I saw those arms and now it's distracting. I'll pick up the repaint later if he does one.- 2 replies
