They really shouldn't have bothered making figures from this movie. Even the current ones of the classic ghostbusters sell horribly and no one is gonna buy figures of random kids in GB outfits or old Bill Murray. This movie is absolutely going to bomb at the box office. The 2016 one did irreparable damage to the brand and now it's retail poison.
I noticed too that the 6" Ghostbusters figures weren't moving that much from retail, even when the toys from the reboot were released to the point that the reboot toys were heavily discounted just to clear retail space, a fitting end to a widely divisive movie. I can't even see stocks of the 80's figures, let alone an Ecto-1.

So it's basically a statue. And here I thought McFarlane had a hand in this.
-
I had Baxter Stockman as a kid but I'm not sure about getting this since the price will most likely be too expensive for what it's really worth.

It sucks that you have to pay more than twice the price for Platinum figures, let alone being hard to find in the first place. Hopefully, Todd can give people the option of buying it directly from his store.

NECA should do the Predators and the synthetic heroes next.

If the colors were based on the classic Bane, this might have generated more positive impressions to people.

Looking at the site a week in they are at only 18% and less than 1000 orders.
Ouch. I'll say it again that the ring doesn't looks like it's worth $250.

At least it wasn't titled "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles 2" since the word "ninja" is banned in some European places. This does bring back memories of the classic Super Shredder, though.

If the animated versions aren't as expensive as the re-issued classic figures, I may consider buying all 4 figures and the Ecto-1.

One of their few licenses where Im not excited about but happy to be able to pass on. I prefer not to recall this movie and its not great-ness. Weird they didnt go for the original movies. I m betting that they have a deal with WB to promote their Netherrealm studio based licenses. Its why they ve been doing Injustice and MK stuff. WB most likely asked them to do some figures since their lines are popular.
I think the only good thing there was Scorpion and his backstory and it's ironic that the fatalities in the movie were better than the original movies.
-
I may not like the look of White Knight Batman but at least his ride looks better than the Bat Raptor.
-
If ever the Scorpion figure looks great, I think I'll only buy that one, my first Hiroyuki Sanada figure.

That White Knight Batman reminds me of this:

If NECA can give us an articulated, well-made shark from this movie, then this will be the first time in 5 years that I will buy a NECA toy.

McFarlane Toys have entered into a global licensing agreement with WBCP to unleash a new line of McFarlane Toys designed statues, busts, and figures based on DC's expansive roster of iconic characters.
I almost read "expansive" as "expensive," given that DC Direct's figures are a bit expensive in the past. Let's see if the first offerings are good.
-
Weird that Todd didn't announce this one at all.
-
Geez, that Shredder is too small. And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't these Turtle figures released individually before?
-
It sucks that NECA's QC is a hit or miss yet they grab these cool licenses. I wish someone could release action figure versions of the Thing, it's something that McFarlane did many years ago.
-
Doesn't look like it's worth $250, then again, wrestling toys are expensive nowadays.

Kyo is a great fig. His accessories are super fun! I had to get Terry as hes one of my all time fav KOF characters and the power geyser is pretty frickin impressive. The prices are going up but it seems so is the quality and added accessories. These Kintaro blood effects are what Ive always wanted from their MK figures, plus we get frozen sub zero arms too! Goro just came with some extra hands, head, and an effect thats not really worth having.
I wish Storm would make another Sub-Zero post MK3, not a fan of the unmasked version quite frankly even though the accessories look great.
-
Still not feeling for that Teela. I think I'll just get He-Man and be done with it.
-
Getting Batman, Robin and the Batmobile will cost me around $80. Not bad even though the figures can be better.

I don't mind 6" scale of cartoon Ghostbusters, hell, even release the characters from Extreme Ghostbusters but as an exclusive. The future of the Plasma line really depends if the figures for the new movie will sell or not.
