  1. I have faith in this because Millar and Gough wrote the script. Between Smallville, Spider-Man 2, and Wednesday, I think they've proven their worth as storytellers.
  2. I finally got my figure today. Ten minutes into trying to move the legs according to the instructions, one of the legs broke. Now it's longer than the other and flops down whenever I try to raise it. This whole experience has been a nightmare - from the ludicrously long preorder time, to the incorrect information and lack of communication about "failed" payment, to getting the figure in hand and experiencing its atrocious quality. I'm returning my figure and then saving my money for the inevitable Mafex attempt at Batman 1989.
  3. I, too, received two notifications of payment being declined, but my credit card company told me this morning that the transaction was indeed approved yesterday. So currently I'm trying to call Mezco customer service and getting nothing but busy signals. This my second time ordering from Mezco, and second time that it's a bit of a mess.
  4. I bet it's a Battle Armor Skeletor to accompany the upcoming Battle Armor He-Man with the beard.
  5. I hope these are scale-compatible with the old S.H. Figuarts Mega Man and Rush. I would love some Robot Masters for those toys to fight.
  6. This looks interesting, but not as interesting as it could be. It would be great if the perspective could alternate between first- and third-person like Metroid Other M so we could see Robocop in action. It feels like there needs to be green text in the bottom left of the screen as well, such as listing his prime directives or relevant mission information.
  7. I get the feeling that "Batman 30th Anniversary" figure will be a Batman Returns figure.
  8. This is so seriously cool! The amount of detail and accuracy in the display base is just incredible. Anything that celebrates Anton Hurst's contribution to Gotham City with this much love is something that deserves a lot of praise. I love that the number of pieces produced corresponds to the release year of the movie, too.
  9. I'm so confused by what I'm seeing. Why is it Darkseid's New 52 design instead of his classic design? Why are there 5 points of articulation instead of seven? Why is the Batwing deliberately blue, misproportioned, and less detailed and accurate than the ToyBiz vehicle we had as kids? Is this really what most DC collectors want these days? I just... don't get it.
  10. That photo of Clark with his arm around Jordan is so strongly reminiscent of Jonathan Kent's death in Superman: The Movie. I love how they keep doing callbacks to those films.
  11. I wonder if the tail will be rubber again. The chest certainly looks glossier than the orignal figure.
  12. It's hard to justify the Pink Ranger's price tag considering the only difference from the last release is the new head. A different shade of pink would have been nice. But Wow, that Jhiaxus reveal in the Transformers stream! My inner nine-year-old can at last be happy Jhiaxus will be in my collection.
  13. It looks like I might make my first Masterverse purchases with this wave. I never got MOTUC Roboto because of the cracking clear plastic issue, and MOTUC Frosta had that awful gray coloring instead of pure white. These might be able to fill some holes in my collection.
  14. So no alternate growling head? I would have preferred that to the Solo accessories. I'm still looking forward to seeing more pics, though. I hope it's a good figure.
  15. This looks cool, but I wish Obi-Wan didn't have so boring a costume design. George Lucas's movies always had such elaborate designs with rare or unusual fabric textures, even for peasant characters like Owen or Old Ben. Disney has been dropping the ball on that far too often. Anyway, with any luck it'll take some inspiration from John Jackson Miller's Kenobi novel. Hopefully it'll be more like The Mandalorian and less like The Book of Boba Fett.
  16. When a movie gets pushed far back, it usually results in the toys being released way ahead of time and poor toy sales. It happened with G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Black Widow, and it will probably happen again with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and The Flash. WB must have a serious problem with production for them to risk shooting themselves in the foot with the merchandise sales.
  17. These games were how my brother and I played together growing up, and they still hold up. Now we can finally try the NES version of Tournament Fighters.
  18. I would love to grab that 200X He-Man and Teela. Hopefully I'll be able to find them at retail, though my luck with the big box stores hasn't been great. Still waiting for the reveal of those Origins movie figures.
  19. Why would McFarlane make Superman without a cape? The decisions of this company continue to baffle me. Hard pass.
  20. Mandora's helmet seems to be missing the points near the center of the visor. Other than that, she and the bike look great. Now I know what I'll buy if I ever win one of those TNI forum contests.
  21. Very cool, but it would be even cooler if they used some of the sapphire and gold accents from the old LJN roleplay toy.
  22. Well, now I'll finally be able to add a highly articulated Killer Croc to my DC Universe Classics collection. I wonder if they'll do Man-Bat next.
  23. I remember that old DC Direct bike. This is very impressive! Thanks for showing the WIP pics with how the styrene pipes were used for structure. It helps a novice like me learn the craft.
