In-hand package images for 4 of the upcoming Masterverse figures have started making rounds on social media. I am not sure of the original source for these images. The figures shown include:

-Mattel Masters of the Universe: Revelation Masterverse Action Figure - He-Man - $24.99
-Mattel Masters of the Universe: Revelation Masterverse Action Figure - Skeltor - $24.99
-Mattel Masters of the Universe: Revelation Masterverse Action Figure - Mossman - $24.99
-Mattel Masters of the Universe: Revelation Masterverse Action Figure - Evil-Lyn - $24.99

I won't wonder if these'll be out in the market by Fall. Mattel knows how to cash in. As long as these are somewhat close to the quality and looks collectors expect of MOTU (Classics ehheeemmmm...) that'll be fine. Got to grab them all :D

I was going to say, he shouldnt be as tall as spawn. That just seems weird sizing to me. Im guessing McF didnt want to make him a deluxe figure so hes been downsized. In the actual game, hes fairly large and definitely bigger than a human sized character like spawn. I would hope that they would scale with eachother since they are from the same developer and both series tend to regulate normal sizings in comparison to eachother. This figure looks awesome tho, and Im really curious what other characters he ll do in this line. I do like that he can be an alternative to storm in pricing. Maybe he ll even do the mk characters from the injustice games.

It would have gotten better reviews and may have more buyers if it was like a mega figure. Pricey but better looking.

On Friday we told you how Todd McFarlane in a WonderCon video had confirmed that he would be offering a new Medieval Spawn figure for his next Kickstarter later this year.

He also hinted of a new Violator figure in the works on top of the Redeemer and Gunslinger Spawn figures that had been previously teased for a regular retail release.

Well now thanks to new solicitations that have been sent out to overseas retailers like <b>Big Boy Toys, we have even more Spawn details to share with you. It looks like we will be seeing the following 7" scale figures at retail this year.

    - Gunslinger Spawn
    - Redeemer
    - Raven Spawn
    - Clown (Deluxe)
    - Violator (Mega)

Note below are recent images released by Todd for Gunslinger, Redeemer and Violator. The images used for Clown and Raven Spawn are of older figures being used for reference purposes only. No official images for any of these figures have been released at this time.

The Clown figure is being listed as a Deluxe figure with a price of ₱2,195.00, which translates to around $45 US. The Violator is being released as a MEGAFIG with a price of ₱2,195.00 which translates to around $60 US. Now these overseas prices may not reflect exactly how much the figures will cost in the US, but it does indicate that

Violator will be bigger than Clown and we are seeing two different larger size categories being used by McFarlane for their action figures now.

Raven Spawn looks like a a Grim Reaper with a bad attitude. Perfect! Redeemer is the perfect nemesis for him. Toddster must have some kind of fondness for Asia hehe... Thanks Todd!

Yeah I don't think the Build-A-Batmobile was received well by collectors, hence why they switched back to the traditional BAF model. I would love to see them do a 7" scale Batmobile, but I just feel if that is what they were doing Todd would had emphasized the size a lot more than he did in the video. I also know when I interviewed him  last year he talked about how they had planned to do a number of those Batmobiles based on different styles from over the years. I won't say it's 100% impossible they won't do a 7" scale Batmobile, I just wouldn't get my hopes up for it.

Yes. I think I remember him expressing his intension to expand the 'mini batmobile' design. He even shared his impression on how a minis collector would feel about getting a lot of those in their display case. I guess he's creating a need, somehow, which is something some good sales people would do. It's just that the Bat-car he created where a 7" action figure can ride at an awkward manner (with the cape out) doesn't make the cut for me. Hehe.... Yeah I'd be happy IF (big 'if') he creates a full size 1/12 scale Batmobile. Well... never mind the Batmobile (wistful thinking), I'll be happier and pleasantly surprised to see him release the Mobius Chair. :D

Gargoyles is my favorite cartoon, so I'm so excited about this. Like others, I'm hoping that they include a softer cloak/cape wing add-on.

At minimum, I need them to do a core of Hudson, Bronx, Elisa, Demona, Xanatos, Macbeth.

    My ideal drops would be:

    • Manhattan Clan (Goliath, Elisa, Hudson, the Trio, Bronx)
    • Xanatos
    • Demona
    • Fox
    • Macbeth
    • Thailog
    • Jackal
    • Hyena
    • Talon
    • Dracon
    • Glasses
    • Hakon (ghost)
    • Archmage all powerful

They really wouldn't have a lot of accessories, unless they treat them like TMNT and throw in things from random eps. Like Demona, she would have her BAG, Phoenix Gate, mace, and what? Lexington - a computer, headset, and (they really could 2-pack him with Bronx), Hudson, his sword and...

Hey @nieman257 . Care to help me out? I am so curious as to the storyline where these characters came from. Who's the Big Bad? And is he/she larger than this character where they based this first figure NECA is releasing? Is he/she a Gargoyle too? Sorry for the questions. I don't have Disney+, only Netflix. Maybe someday I'll buy the DVD or Bluray collection. :D

This is stunning, finally I've been asking for a Gargoyles line for so long now, one of my most wanted things, I can't be more excited about this!!!!!!!!

I have no idea about the storyline of the series this character is based from but of all the action figures on pre-order on BBTS, seeing the looks of this plus it said 8-inch in size, by far, this is the fastest decision I have made to pre-order something that I have no much knowledge about. It's friggin' cool! (And despite the fact that I have a huge aversion towards the previous creations of NECA (based on reviews)-- chalky paint, random figures that have loose joints. I'll give them a shot this time. Hope they don't let me down.)

If Todd wasn't known for just rambling off names that come to mind in interviews like this I would be more encouraged by that Swamp Thing mention, however I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in that for now. Also the Batmobile I dont think will be something in scale with 7" figures. His hand gesture suggests something smaller which says to me probably something more on par with the Build-A-Batmobile. We know they had designed more than one originally so they may just do a straight out release instead of making it a Build-A-Thing.

I don't want to see that 3-part small Batmobile {sigh}. From the first release I got only two of the three. I am not a fan of that Batgirl design (so i didn't get that portion of the car). On a lighter side, maybe there are mini-batmobile collectors out there. Good for them :)

Todd McFarlane has released a new video as part of the WonderCon at home event going on this weekend. In the video talks about various things including toys, comics and his Spawn movie.

Most of the things he talks about in the video are things we've heard him say before, but I just wanted to recap a few things that stood out to me. First he confirms that the next Kickstarter that will launch later this year will be for a new Medieval Spawn figure. Last October Todd had mentioned he was thinking about Medieval Spawn for the Kickstarter treatment, but no its 100% confirmed as happening. More details should be coming soon. He says it will be run even better than the first Kickstarter

. He also suggested they might do more than one Kickstarter this year.

He also talks about doing more Spawn figures at general retail. Nothing really specific. At one point while he is talking about Spawn figures, they show up an image of a Violator figure being painted which you can see a screen cap for below. We've also seen him previously tease other Spawn figures like Cowboy Spawn and Redeemer Spawn

Todd also mentioned his company is going to soon be announcing 7 new licenses for action figures they will be doing. I suppose some of these will include things like the Disney Mirrorverse figures we've previously reported on. He mentions it will be things based on TV shows and movies.

He mentions how he is going to be doing more artist proof (unpainted) figures for as many of his lines as possible. The artist proof figures is something they had been doing with their Warhammer figures, and it looks like we could start to see similar figures in other lines like DC Multiverse.

In the video he mentions they are working on a new Batmobile and something bigger. It's not clear if this is going to be another Build-A-Batmobile type thing or something that would be in scale with 7" figures. When he was showing hand gestures for size while talking about this in the video, it didn't seem like it would be something in actual 7" scale.

    Wondercon-Violator.jpg

My take away from this. Mega-fig Swamp Thing, New design of Batmobile, Medieval Spawn Kickstarter and that Todd, with all his companies, should maybe just ask his technical team to put some kind of sound effects on his presentations like this ;-D

PS. I'm glad he clarified that he won't be saturating his Spawn world creations with Spawn characters only. I don't see anything interesting in world building where the characters are just a copy of only one persona.

I' like it, I have been on board since the first teaser, I got faith in Gunn, this trailer sealed the deal for me, I actually laughed at a bunch of the stupid jokes, I think this is going to be good, or at least entertaining.

Yeah... It's just for laughs. I like continuity and the Shark guy isn't that stupid in the comic storyline. This Suicide Squad, for me, is the comedic earth in the DC universe.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Putting so much emphasis and screentime  on Black Lightning's daughters instead of the man himself so early in the series, diluted and basically killed it. At least the first two seasons should have been all BL.

Now in the final season the actress playing Lightning is quitting the show and recast, which makes no sense. To make way for her exit, Lightning absorbs too much energy in the ionosphere and explodes. But her particles are somehow collected and re-constituted via a Hadron collider type piece of equipment courtesy of the Flash. Sadly, there's no Black Lightning/Flash team up for the fans...not even a cameo. CW feels its better to drone on about soap opera romances and the like.

Far more sensible to just kill her off, but no, they bring in another actress who bears zero resemblance to China McClain...they explain this away by "DNA re-sequencing" or some such nonsense, that makes her much taller, and styles her hair into dreadlocks to boot.

Because of course when your body is disassembled and brought back together again, your hair gets a perm, or frosting tips, or a bob, or dreadlocks.

Dont get me wrong, I've enjoyed the Pierce girls but just prefer if they had their arc in later seasons. Sorry we really didnt get to see more of the series' star.

Why are people quitting DC? I enjoyed this show somehow. DC, or whoever is responsible in casting, is also in the process of  recasting Batwoman just when I'm starting to appreciate Ryan Wilder (who is a replacement for the first season's BW) and her storyline. The series is only at its second season but there'll be 3 different actors who would have donned the Batwoman cape and cowl. And yes!!! The 3rd Batwoman, I read, will still keep the persona of the first BW (Kate Kane) who happened to have been terribly injured and facially mutilated that she had to undergo surgery... Tada! It's then justified that this third actress "takes back" her Batwoman mantle. Don't get me started with the lackluster of DC for years then they gave Snyder a break, hence, we saw #SnyderCut, now fans are rallying behind it for continuity, yet there seems to be opposition to #restorethesnydercut. Just when you're getting the chance at that "A" game, DC/WB, why so much drama? Marvel stumbled and fall but now they're doing well cause they listened to the fans.

Grodd does like pretty bad ass, I wish it wasn't an Injustice Grodd though, I would have been more keen on it, I would have loved to see the helmet be removable as well, should have had a hinged jaw as well, I like it, but I still think I'll be passing.

Later, and this is no stretch at all, we'll find Todd releasing something similar... Another variant-- could be a different color, one without the armor or just the helmet. We now know the drill 😂

Yeah not going to support any kind of kickstarters to a multi million dollar company that already pushes out a crap ton of figures at retail prices. Im glad for all those that did enjoy their KS but thats def not my bag. He damn well better not make violator a kickstarter. I just want a new regularly released, affordable and retail, fully articulated violator damnit! I m not going to fork over 80 bucks or whatever it is for a big kickstarter. I am curious about the 7 licenses but we all know he ll do a multitude of gold variants and "accessory" variants XD.. I think the first spawn kickstarter was a great idea in that it built up hype for a new line of spawn figures and to have people that are hyped be involved in starting it, but i feel like Todd is going to run that idea to the ground instead.

Never put money in a kickstarter before? It's for $80? Is it like a pre-order? You don't get charged until the item is ready to ship? I ask because of all Todd's Spawn figs, I'm most interested in this Medieval design.

No my guess at least initially the figures already shown are the only ones they planned to do. Perhaps if the movie does really well and they see enough demand they will decide to do another wave.

I'm crossing my fingers. Old gods, to think of it, is #McFarlaneToys territory. Something that can please a wide demographic and across toylines (will fit right in any toy flavor, whether MOTU, DC, Marvel, etc.)

  14. Any word from Todd about possibly coming up with action figures from #ZachSnydersJusticeLeague based on the Other characters? People / companies should be scrambling about trying to get them on pre-order and store shelves. #ZachSnydersJusticeLeague is a hit! I myself am a Greek god fan growing up. I suggest creating figs of the ones in the picture: Ares, Artemis and Zeus.  #McFarlaneToys

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

Epic! Needs so many sequels... 4 hours but it feels like... I want more! Another four hours, Zach!

The build quality better be great for that price. The cheek of it. It's the same stupid price they had for their awful DC figs.

That reminds me of DC figs that could hardly stand on their own {sigh}. This line has the Classics to compete with, though I'm not expecting this'll truly be at par with Classics (just seeing the shapes of the blurred images and what seemed to be a hunched Battle Cat), the final product has to be decent.
