  1. I still want to know who she was talking about in her song "I will always love Hugh". Was it Hefner or Grant. I know Dolly Parton wrote and sang the song, originally, and people say when Whitney sang it she made it her own, but I swear it sounds like she's saying "Hugh" instead of "you".
  2. Before Watchmen were the Sundialmen.

  3. Before Watchmen were the Sundialmen.
  4. Where's NCC 1701-F? Did I miss a movie/series that had it? I bet it's in a novel.
  5. For the Force Spirit scene at the end of ROTJ, Lucas should have had Obi-Wan and Anakin start out looking like Guinness and Shaw and then have them morph into McGregor and Christensen, respectively, as a form of age regression to how they appeared in their prime.
  6. I was just in the greater Cincinnati area, for the first time, the week between Christmas and New Years. We went to the Newport Aquarium, EnterTRAINment Junction and the Creation Museum. I didn't have time to go toy hunting, but I didn't know that's where Kenner's Headquarters were when they existed. If I had known, I would have found the time to do some hunting of my own. I hope to go back, soon. In the show, at the NYCC, was that actor Andrew Lee Potts (Connor Temple of BBC's PRIMEVAL) wearing a blonde moppy hairstyled wig with black rimmed glasses? The guy had an English accent, but it sounded like he was altering it, as not to be recognized. He totally looked like ALP in the face.
  7. I really didn't think they'd "sacrifice" that character. I still can't believe they actually have some of the death scenes they do have in this series, since it is more for the kids. Anyways, the sacrifice was made worthless since they traded prisoners. He died for nothing. I thought it was a pretty good episode. A little dark for kids, but good over all.
  8. I always believed Gene Roddenberry was more of a prophet than a science fiction writer. I mean, think of all the things he created for his show that became reality. I believe the CNSA would have come up with this design even if Star Trek had never been made.
  9. Werewolves, Vampires and Zombies are all different versions/mutations of the same virus, rabies (the Mononegavirales family). Lycanthropy (HWV; Humand Werewolf Virus) is a direct mutation of rabies, and the mildest. The virus doesn't kill the body organs and tissue. The disease can be spread through saliva and a milder form through scratches. See, werewolves lick themselves, and the virus gets on the claws. The virus is oxygen exposed and weakened. A scratch victim will have limited transformation of the body to a classic Chaney Wolf-Man appearance. A victim of a bite has a stronger exposure to the virus and will have a more anthropomorphic transformation with a oversized wolf head on a furry humanoid body with digitigrade legs/feet. One born with the virus has to ability to completely transform into a wolf. The host body, in human forms, is slightly stronger than the average human body, but is superstrong in wolf form. Vampirism (HVV; Human Vampire Virus) is a stronger mutation of HWV. The virus kills the organs, but the host still has control of most of their faculties. The virus is spread only through the blood. The host body is superstrong, but because the body tissue and organs are dead, it is easier to kill them than a werewolf. Zombieism (HZV; Human Zombie Virus) is also a direct mutation of the rabies virus that spun off in a slightly different direction. The virus kills all organs and body tissue, and the host loses all control of their faculties. The virus controls the body, now. The host body is at its weakest point, while the virus is at its strongest. The virus is spread through saliva.
  10. I'm HARDCORE: Episodes 1,2, CLone Wars Micro series Vol 1 & 2, then Clone Wars Animated Seasons 1, 2, 3, plus last night's two parter, Droids, Ewoks cartoons, Episodes 3&4, The Star Wars Holiday Special (the parts on Youtube, anyways), Episodes 5&6, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, then E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (E.T.'s species is a canonical part of the Star Wars Universe). The only problem with Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor is where exactly they fit in continuity. In ROTJ, the Ewoks act as if they've never met any humans. Yet, in the Ewok movies the humans there act as if they are stranded with no hope of rescue because humans don't visit there, and I would think that if this is post-ROTJ humans would frequent there. So, sometimes I do the last few in the order of The Star Wars Holiday Special, Caravan of Courage, Ep. 5, Battle for Endor, Ep. 6, then E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.
  11. I still have flashbacks from the Backyard Wars. Man, the things I saw. I just used as many jungle camo Joes as I could against the forces of Cobra, in general.
  12. AWESOME! That helps with my list. I really want some realistic, live-action versions of characters from The Clone Wars. 10. Massassi Mutated Warrior 09. Noghri 08. Sergeant Doallyn 07. Toryn Farr 06. The Son from Mortis in Bat form (from Season 3, Episodes 15, 16, 17: "Overlords", "Altar or Mortis", "Ghosts of Mortis") 05. Ree-Yees 04. Adult Ahsoka Tano (vision from Season 3, Episode 15: "Overlords") 03. The Daughter from Mortis (from Season 3, Episodes 15, 16, 17: "Overlords", "Altar of Mortis", "Ghosts of Mortis") 02. Phase II Captain Rex 01. Cyborg Maul (I know this was out in a 2-pack, but it was a con exclusive)
  13. Is there a difference in the Steel Brigade in this wave from the one in the previous wave?
  14. GEEK ZODIAC Going by the year you were born, are you a Robot, Wizard, Alien, Superhero, Undead, Pirate, Daikaiju, Time Traveler, Spy, Astronaut, Ninja/Samurai, or Treasure Hunter? I'm a Superhero.
  15. That Ep. I Yoda muppet was always creepy looking, to me. It didn't really look like Yoda. It looked like a different member of his species, but not him. The CGI replacement is a good thing, but I thought they were supposed to do this before when they released the Prequel Trilogy boxset on DVD.
  16. If you remember, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last March, and she beat it. We have have one last step of her reconstruction surgery to go. I am at a loss for words to describe the feelings I had come over me when I read about your mothers present condition. You and your mother have been in my wifes and my prayers, and will continue to be. I had even thought about PM'ing you, last week. Wish I had, now. Just don't lose hope.
  17. My closest Wal-Marts have recently re-released Elite Series 8. I went to some Wal-Marts within 100 mile radius of where I live, that I don't regularly visit, and found the remainder of Elite Series 9 at one, and the remainder of Elite Series 10 at another. I haven't seen series 9 or 10 at my local Wal-Marts/Toys R Us/K-Mart. When were these waves released, and when will Elite Series 11 and 12 be released? Why isn't the World Heavyweight Championship belt, that comes with Elite Collection Series 10 Kane, vacmetal like the rest of the Championship belts? Is it just that the real World Heavyweight belt isn't as shiny as the others? How many people have bought, or are going to buy, two Elite Collection Series 10 Big Shows in order to have matching WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship belts? Are there any plans to make the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship belts in the Elite line? How about the Diva Championship belt? What about the previous Women's Championship belt?
  18. Epic sci-fi series. Whatever direction they decide to take, BRING IT! EDIT ***ADDENDUM*** I had to try to find more, bummer:
  19. Not knowing who Dai Atlas was, I looked him up... Speeder, Star Saber, Deathsaurus... Who posted their six year old kids fan fiction as canon material on the Teletraan I Transformer Wiki?
  20. NO! NO BAF's, PLEASE! Just do a straight release of the figure!
  21. Darby's Rangers (1958) Merrill's Marauders (1962) Black Hawk Down (2001) The Great Raid (2005)
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9obAE2w26Y Extended version giving story of Haruka (but, it's in Japanese).
  23. Kevin = Mekurukito Or, if you find out what your normal name means, you can find the Japanese word that means the same: Behind the Name Behind the Surname Online English to Japanese to English Dictionary Kevin: Gender: Masculine Usage: English, Irish, French, German, Dutch, Scandinavian Pronounced: KEV-in (English) [key] Anglicized form of the Irish name Caoimhín, derived from the older Irish Cóemgein, composed of the Old Irish elements cóem "kind, gentle, handsome" and gein "birth". Saint Caoimhín established a monastery in Glendalough, Ireland in the 6th century and is the patron saint of Dublin. It became popular in the English-speaking world outside of Ireland in the 20th century. In Japanese: Kind = you, hinshu, rui, shurui, atsui, tane, teinei Gentle = nagoyaka, yasashii, onbin, odayaka Handsome = rippa, tansei Birth = ba-su, seitan, sujou, shusshou, tanjou, shussei So, for each part of my names origin I took my favorite and/or closest meaning to make my name. From cóem "kind, gentle, handsome" I used Tansei, and from gein "birth" I used seitan, and hypenated the words to be my Japanese name: Tansei-seitan I can't complain with that result.
