  1. I guess giving Spirit a tomahawk axe would have been too on the nose for Hasbro, or something? I'm very surprised they're releasing him. But they couldn't just go all the way?
  2. Isn't Cheetara coming from that one factory in China that S7 said was nothing but problems and headaches? Cuz S7 said they left one factory because it was so bad, but that they were stuck with them for whichever series of figures they had already started on. If anything, I'm glad Cheetara will be given time to be fixed, cuz inevitably that means that Steelheart from Silverhawks will (should) have the kinks worked out of the female buck when she's finally produced
  3. I know it's too soon, but I so hope Hasbro goes back to Scarlett and Lady Jaye and Storm Shadow and just re-tools new figures for them - better faces, better paint apps, different costumes (for SS, at least). This BBQ looks like it's everything us older fans have wanted out of an adult GI Joe line - a simple recreation of what came before from the 80's. And now that Hasbro (seems to have) figured out how to design the older aesthetic with these new figs, lets give those earlier ones a non-laser tag focus, lol ... Lady Jaye is included because she just needs an attractive face, lol
  4. I get everything I wanted except for Beach Head... I don't even know if Target retocked him once after he sold out
  5. I completely missed out on the Firefly and Beach Head because of yesterday's nonsense. But I got everything else I wanted... And I'm not a Pulse premium member (or whatever it is), and I refuse to pay for a service for the (rare) privilege to be able to buy a toy that they never sell anyways. What a mess =/
  6. I'm hoping this isn't going to be a mess when time comes. I missed out on almost all of these and would to at least get one, maybe even two, before they sell outlol
  7. I saw Skelegod at my local Target today (Emeryville, Ca). He wasn't in the main action figure aisle, but kinda hidden in some weird endcap that was over near the baby toy section... Looked kinda neat, but no way worth $40 imo
  8. It's really disappointing to see these not painted in any kind of metallic colors. They all look like high gloss flat paints, which is kind of the opposite of what made the original toys so special. Because I get the whole "rub off" worry, and can see keeping the joints flat gloss since they move. But the chest, thigh, bicep, and head pieces that won't rub on anything? You couldn't even color those in some sort of metallic paint?
  9. I wanna get excited. But considering their Thundercats line is having so many delays, I can't imagine I'm gonna pre-order these blindly.
  10. To this day, I have never see a Classified figure on any retailer shelf in my area. To this day, most of my Walgreens stores don't even have a upc sticker on their empty shelves acknowledging that they even carry these figures. And to this day, whenever I try looking online at any etailer shops, all I ever see are marked up prices for these figures. Hell, I once stayed up to make sure I pre-ordered the Lady Jaye/Flint figures before they sold out at Target's website, and my order was just cancelled on me with no reasoning two months later, and a*hole collectors called me a "privileged baby" for complaining about it... Not only is it frustrating collecting this line because you can't find anything, but it's upsetting and maddening to read statements from other collector's who simply talk down to people with legitimate complaints because the line is so easy for them to collect. It sure must be nice being lucky and/or fortunate enough to find these figure so easily (or afford the high prices on the secondary market), and it must feel really good to be able to have a superiority complex when you talk down to the collector's who've only ever seen pictures of these figures and never anything in hand.
  11. My nephew collects Legos, and he just bought the '89 Batmobile. It looks to cool, and it makes this '66 Batmobile look so crappy and unappreciated in comparison. Dam shame.
  12. If it was just for 50%, then how was Gaiman allowed to sell Angela outright to Marvel? Unless Todd was in on the deal??
  13. But doesn't Gaiman still own Medi Spawn? Or will he get a piece of this action from Todd?
  14. Aaaand which terrible Starbuck's coffee house song will be playing when he shows up to make the superheros cry about their awful romantic relationships?
  15. In regards to defining what scalping is, I think it's when you buy something with the intent of selling it above market price to a stranger - that's scalping. Especially when Firefly, the Viper, and now Zartan, are hitting secondary markets the day of release for $40-$80. But if you work out a deal with a friend, or someone you simply know, to get these figs for them and charge these kinds of high prices, then I think you can consider the sale as nothing more than a hookup. For whatever reason you needed to charge as much as you did, that's between the two of you for any and all reasons you might have, and it's not for me to judge. And if you have a moral center in you that thinks you should leave figures on a shelf for other collector's to find, then that's great But your morals shouldn't define how other people should collect (especially if they're collecting to another type of fairness). For example, there's the case of buying what you seemingly don't need. I got lucky with a Baroness trade because I made a troll post about how my Target only got in a bunch of Marvel Legends figures one day, and no GI Joe's. And by chance (and luck), someone messaged me about picking up a Punisher on motorcycle set he saw in my pic for an even trade with a Baroness he had. Did he buy the Baroness even though he doesn't collect GI Joe? Did he buy a bunch of GI Joe toys to try and afford Marvel Legends stuff that were way over priced on the aftermarket? I don't know. But he traded me evenly, and the only extra money I had to pay out of pocket was the shipping expense, which was something he shared in as well. I don't consider that scalping at all, and honestly, without him having the Baroness to trade, I'd barely have any Joe's worth mentioning in my collection. And like back to my original reply in this thread - I don't get mad at collector's who buy figures for whatever reasons they do. I just get mad at the toy companies who make this hobby miserable in the first place.
  16. I dunno about this write-up... I've never been mad at another person/collector who was able to grab a bunch of hard-to-get figures when he/she saw them on a shelf - I've never even seen such a thing in person because finding figures is so impossible in the first place. But if anything, when I see random online pics of people holding multiples of rare figs, I get mad at the company who made them so impossible to find and not the guy who was lucky enough to get them *shrugs*
  17. It's so weird... Starfire is meant to be this kind of sex-bomb looking character in the comics nowadays, but they hire an (gorgeous) actress who they dress in awful clothing. Now they're starting to put her in some costumes (that look cool) that still doesn't represent the comic character. I really like the show. But they dance this weird line where a great looking Robin is standing next to a Hot Topic dressed Raven, and it's just.... odd looking.
  18. I dunno... what could this show ever be at its peak? In a day and age where gun violence is played down to kids, and where woke-culture makes sure to outline specific agendas - could a new GI Joe series be anything about the war on terrorism by shooting laser guns at enemy soldiers? Or will they go the safe route and somehow turn this in to another ninja series where all they have to worry about is lousy cgi acrobatics and crummy swordplay choreography?

  20. With only 6 seats, where the hell are you gonna fit that little bastard Snarf? lol Hopefully under the treads
  21. TRU should just pair up with another brick and mortar store and do a KFC/Taco Bell type combo that can satisfy multiple types of customers. I say go Barnes & Noble and Us, or something... Books, movies, toys, and a Starbucks all wrapped in one
  22. I wonder what the accessories with this line will be. I mean, the original figures offered cloth wings so they could fold in and fan out easily. But would that be acceptable in today's market? So, maybe a removable hard, single plastic wing that can snap on the back of each figure, and then maybe a separate retro cloth wing will be included? And then there are small things that that will either be snap on, swappable pieces, or ignored altogether: -Swappable heads with the masks on, or just a mask that snaps over the regular face portraits -Heel claws (either snap on or just permanently molded to the feet) -Shoulder lasers that look like little triangle holes, which could be completely ignored -Police badges that can be exactly the same as the shoulder laser -Copper Kid's hip discs -And the biggest question - are we getting chrome, silver paint, or silver plastic colors??
  23. I still have never seen wave 1... let alone 2... and 3.... and now 4, lol
