Super7 ThunderCats Ultimates Wave 2 In-Hand Figure Images
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
It's weird. There are promo pics of Tygra that have the correct paints that this final release doesn't have. This is missing the right elbow pad entirely, the left and (missing) right cuff around the forearm aren't painted dark blue, and his ab crunch section totally forgot to paint his costume correctly. The time and the cost people put into this line doesn't seem to be worth it, imo -
These reek of being nothing more than the exact same toys from the '90s. Easy pass on the figures, but boy am I desperate to buy starships again. Hopefully the lame packaging doesn't equate to the ship being lame as well.

Hasbro's G.I. Joe 40th Anniversary Live-Stream Coverage
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
It should be emphasized that the Cobra Viper 3-pack is the first release that will be plastic free, which Hasbro announced they were going to be doing with all their figures two years ago. There was no clarification from the stream. But it sounds like all future Classified figures will be windowless, have random character art as the main image on the front, and will have photo's of the actual figures on the back of the packaging. Personally, as an MOC collector, I don't like this change. Especially when the art they create is hit or miss and that's the main image you have to look at, especially when you can't see the figure to know if it's mint or not, and ESPECIALLY when s***head collectors buy these figures, swap out parts, then return them to the stores, and you now have no idea what you're buying =/ -
G.I. Joe Classified Sgt Slaughter
DiscoCougar replied to 1987olds442Customs's topic in Custom Figures
Is the head from the old WWF Hasbro figures of the 90's? Or something newer? -
Depending on how this Enterprise looks in hand, I might be on board. Cuz in all honesty, these figures look worse than the original Playmates ones, and I don't need to collect another line of Star Trek toys that aren't an improvement over the older ones (including Art Asylum) and aren't willing to go as broad into the roster as the older lines (live action tv shows, animated series, movies, novels, etc).

Is there any chance this anime will actually end the damned story so I can comfortably grow old and die with no loose ends left in my life???

Oh please Lord let their starships be decent, because those awful looking Eaglemoss ones are way too expensive for the subpar paint and materials that they're made out of.

NECA Announces Usagi Yojimbo Figure For Their TMNT Line
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Will this be a single figure or a double-pack with someone else included? If anything, I hope he comes with a katana blade that's cut in half that you can give to Leo, lol -
New Looks At The Haslab G.I. Joe Skystriker - Will It Get Funded???
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I think it's important that this succeeded right after the Rancor failed. Now Hasbro can't use a, "The market is over-crowded to buy expensive toys at the moment," excuse for the Rancor. If Hasbro shows a little love to their fans, then the fans will show the love right back. -
Sgt. Slaughter Joins Action Force With New 6" Action Figure
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
If Bobby wasn't such an a*hole and had any actual PR skills, I would support his line. But he has a big mouth, and he talks way too much smack about his "competition" and to any potential customers of his alike. Shame.- 50 replies

2021 Hasbro Pulse Con - Day 2 Coverage - G.I. Joe Panel Coverage
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I guess giving Spirit a tomahawk axe would have been too on the nose for Hasbro, or something? I'm very surprised they're releasing him. But they couldn't just go all the way? -
Super7 ThunderCats Ultimates Cheetara Figure Delayed
DiscoCougar replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Isn't Cheetara coming from that one factory in China that S7 said was nothing but problems and headaches? Cuz S7 said they left one factory because it was so bad, but that they were stuck with them for whichever series of figures they had already started on. If anything, I'm glad Cheetara will be given time to be fixed, cuz inevitably that means that Steelheart from Silverhawks will (should) have the kinks worked out of the female buck when she's finally produced -
I know it's too soon, but I so hope Hasbro goes back to Scarlett and Lady Jaye and Storm Shadow and just re-tools new figures for them - better faces, better paint apps, different costumes (for SS, at least). This BBQ looks like it's everything us older fans have wanted out of an adult GI Joe line - a simple recreation of what came before from the 80's. And now that Hasbro (seems to have) figured out how to design the older aesthetic with these new figs, lets give those earlier ones a non-laser tag focus, lol ... Lady Jaye is included because she just needs an attractive face, lol

I completely missed out on the Firefly and Beach Head because of yesterday's nonsense. But I got everything else I wanted... And I'm not a Pulse premium member (or whatever it is), and I refuse to pay for a service for the (rare) privilege to be able to buy a toy that they never sell anyways. What a mess =/

I saw Skelegod at my local Target today (Emeryville, Ca). He wasn't in the main action figure aisle, but kinda hidden in some weird endcap that was over near the baby toy section... Looked kinda neat, but no way worth $40 imo

It's really disappointing to see these not painted in any kind of metallic colors. They all look like high gloss flat paints, which is kind of the opposite of what made the original toys so special. Because I get the whole "rub off" worry, and can see keeping the joints flat gloss since they move. But the chest, thigh, bicep, and head pieces that won't rub on anything? You couldn't even color those in some sort of metallic paint?

I wanna get excited. But considering their Thundercats line is having so many delays, I can't imagine I'm gonna pre-order these blindly.
