G.I. Joe Classified 6" Retro Carded Baroness Discovered At Walmart
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I would be tempted to order it, but Walmart cancels every damn thing I preorder. I see absolutely no point in even attempting to preorder from Walmart anymore. -
NECA Teases New 7" Evil Dead Ash Williams Figure
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Now that they have nailed the likeness, I would absolutely love to see them make a Brisco County Jr. line. I don't know if it was popular enough to warrant action figures, but they could be great! -
DC Multiverse Outsells Marvel Legends In 2021?!?
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
All in all, I do have a fondness for both, but, while Marvel Legends continues to just toss a new paint job on the same old body molds, McFarlane uses uniques sculpts for every figure. I do wish that the paint was as strong as the sculpt in most cases, but they do make for great custom fodder. At the same time, Marvel Legends continues to give us new characters, where McFarlane has a batman for every occasion. There's still a lot of great and a lot of less than great to be said about both. -

DC Multiverse 7" Demon Knight And King Shazam Official Images
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I feel like McFarlanes sculpting team are so much stronger than his painters. There's always so much detail that's completely neglected by a lack of paint application. I respect that they don't reuse bodies and always have originals sculpts, but I wish they'd up their paint game some. -
Stranger Things 4 - Official Sneak Peek Teaser; Returns In 2022
Rayne replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Stranger Things. Now, that's a name I have not heard in a long time..... -
I do think Jodie is am enjoyable Doctor. She has the right amount of charm, wit and weirdness to fit the bill. Hands down, Chibnall has been the problem. His writing is not interesting, his stories are boring and the direction of the show has just become stale. He even made the soundtrack uninteresting. I used to love how each Doctor had their own theme, and even the companions. It's just hollow ambient music now, that adds nothing to the show. I do feel for Jodie. I think she got a lot of hate sling her way, and she was not at fault in the slightest. She did the best she could with the material she was handed. Even Tennant or Smith couldn't have made those scripts work. I've loved Doctor Who since Peter Davidson. He was my first doctor when I was a kid, and I was beyond excited when the show returned in 2005. I hope it continues, but I truly hope it's with the right showrunner.

DC Multiverse 7" Gold Label Unmasked Red Hood Figure In-Hand Look
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Charlie Sheen!? -
I really like these figures, but I do worry what the movie is doing with Snake Eyes back story. Originally, Snake was badly burned saving friends from a helicopter explosion in Vietnam. His face was badly burned and his vocal chords were fried. Just making him a guy in a mask with a vow of silence kinda takes away some of the things that made him such a great character. I really hope they aren't completely altering his story.

Netflix Confirms New Live-Action Series 'Resident Evil'

Lance Reddick is brilliant! His casting, alone, had my interest. Definitely excited to see how this turns out. -
G.I. Joe Classified Major Bludd Coming To Target As An Exclusive?
Rayne replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I had to bail on this line. It sucks, but I can't afford to pay 3-4 times the price of every figure. It seems hasbro doesn't really want us commoners to buy these, so it can't be helped. Love GI Joe as a kid, but these are not worth the scalper prices by any means. -
It does have the softer torso thing happening. He actually gets a decent crunch if you push in on the lower half of the torso. Nowhere near what a full mid torso joining would have accomplished, but for the price, this really is a solid Deathstroke. I switched out the molded gun for a holster and removable gun, and made a better scabbard for the sword and I'm quite happy with this one. It could have been better with a better torso joint and non molded gun and awful sheath, but I still dig it.

Aldis Hodge Joining 'Black Adam' Movie As 'Hawkman'
Rayne replied to Outsiders's topic in Entertainment News
Really enjoyed Aldis in Leverage and his part early on in Supernatural. It'll be cool to see what he brings to Hawkman.- 26 replies

I thought this was going to be sort of a remake of the OG spawn, before the boot and huge gauntlet. It still looks pretty cool, but I was hoping for the old school Spawn to have alongside the newer design from the mortal kombat line.

Love that Cyborg! I hope they make the rest of the Teen Titans. A Red X would be fantastic too!

I feel like it would have been a better choice to keep it set in the 80s. Crime fighter in a smart car isn't something especially extraordinary anymore.

Neca is really hooking up the scalpers lately. I know things are tough in the world right now, but there are real opportunities out there for folks who have sophisticated bots and awesome products to price gouge. Neca is all heart.

Awesome to see an articulated Eric Draven, finally. Would love to see them do a version without the coat too.
