Does anyone know how to get McFarlane to replace a defective figure? My Lobo’s knee ripped right off the bat when I tried to bend it like a normal figure. Their customer service doesn’t answer, but maybe they are still off for the holidays… they’ve replaced figures for me before but the last two I bought broke right away and they stopped answering me. It’s not just me, I never break anything - and I treat them all with hot and cold water before I move them around. This line has gone to hell fast.

DC Multiverse Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Build-A-Line
ZoomAir replied to Outsiders's topic in Action Figure News
You can applaud, that doesn’t mean it’s a good policy or that it will make any difference in the world. Sure the occasional kid may like them, but kids also don’t have income and their parents will be making the decision on what they buy. There’s an entire spin masters line for kids. These are obviously geared for adult collectors and feature severed heads, blood spatters, disgusting/horrifying creatures, sharp pointy parts that can hurt a kids hands or be used as a weapon, and much more that parents wouldn’t want their kids having. Part of America is gun culture, it’s in all of our media including all of the comics and movies that these are based on. Collectors just want accurate representations of them. As you know they’ll shell out thousands a year if a line has everything they’re looking for. With characters like red hood not having guns, it’s completely pointless to even make the figure, because those guns are essential to the character and he’s never without them. If DC is really about decreasing violence maybe they should remove all violence from all mediums because when you really stand for something, it’s against all odds, it includes sacrifice and the risk of losing money, which they really aren’t willing to do. -
Netflix's 'Cowboy Bebop' - First Look Images And Date Announcement

You can’t do athletic stuff or stunts in hot pants? Youtube: wwe women’s match. There’s thousands of them. Hot pants galore. Same with the men. Jumping off top ropes, hurricanranas, backflips, front flips, ladder matches you name it. All wearing very little clothing. Most of the men just wear tiny trunks and the women wear those but something else to cover up top. These excuses are unnecessary, you can just say that feminism has become a parody of itself and we are now back in Puritan times, all in an effort to block the perverted gaze of men. -

NECA's 8" Jaws Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) Figure First Look

He does look like a baby! -
This is almost man baby level whining. Why would it be predatory to offer two different versions of a figure? You don’t need both to complete a baf, so pick the one you like. As far as limited articulation, did you get the shriek figure? The articulation is amazing and versatile, and looks much more natural than anything in the same price range. Hasbro has people thinking that marvel legends ab crunch is good articulation. It’s not. It looks ridiculous. People bash McFarlane for petty reasons but they let hasbro and other larger companies get away with releasing figures with no paint and no new sculpting. Every new McFarlane figure I’ve bought is different from the last. I never know exactly what to expect. If he just used the bucky cap mold 1000 times would that make you guys happy?

This show was always better than tmnt. At least when I was a kid it seemed like it was. Had a cinematic feel to it.

The Golden Girls Action Figures From NECA Are Back Again
ZoomAir replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I love that neca makes stuff like this just to have a presence in the stores as they know it will sit for months on end. Who goes to the store gets all their toiletries and random things for the house and then says “ ya know what? I’d like to spend $120 on below average golden girls action figures right now.”? -
G.I. Joe Classified Major Bludd Coming To Target As An Exclusive?
ZoomAir replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
It’s called scarcity, and in this case it’s done on purpose to ramp up hype and the perception of exclusivity. Jordan brand has been doing this for 20 years and it hasn’t gotten better. There’s still violence over shoes. I don’t care what anyone says on a forum, its definitely on purpose and it’s definitely good for long term business even if it dents short term profits. Remember the last Jedi? They never want to see that happen again, with $20.00 products gathering dust at $9.99. it’s bad for the brands image. They’d rather deal with angry nerds. but they’re also smart enough to restock when demand drops, as to make sure the value dies as soon as the hype dies. People only care about this junk for a month and then it’s on to the next thing. -
NECA Teases TMNT 90's Movie Splinter's Origin Figure Set
ZoomAir replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I would never go to a big box store to look for neca products. I do check for them when I’m there, And I’ve only seen something remotely sought after once or twice. Usually it’s all horror stuff. What a waste of time and fuel that would be to go from store to store. I would just bargain and make a deal fleabay to get them delivered if I collected tmnt stuff. Especially with covid out there it’s just not worth it. Good luck tho, hope you get some good finds at least -
From my understanding the first one was based on the 1930s version too. More relevant than tmnt...think of it this way, will more adults watch the new King Kong movie or would they rather see a new tmnt movie? Anyway, it sold pretty well and this is just a variant based on the poster. This specific paint job is for a niche group of fans, but it’s not a whole line, just one figure. I’m sure it will sell enough to justify the production, they sculpted a King Kong body and really can’t do much with it other than this type of variant.

McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Gold Label Batman Review
ZoomAir replied to dccollector's topic in Toy Reviews
The complaining is hilarious. I for one was happy with this figure, a unique Batman designed by Todd himself is something I never thought I’d see. All of the new sculpting and paintwork isn’t enough, we have to complain about knives sculpted into the figure and goggles, etc? With marvel legends we get the same barely painted bucky cap every wave and with neca they’ve been milking gen Xers for years with barely articulated turtles and terminator figures that aren’t even culturally relevant. Funny that with all of this complaining the figures somehow disappear off of the shelf and end up on eBay for $50.00. Makes me suspicious of this post, as the card and stand aren’t removed from the packaging...anyway, hope all who are looking for this end up finding it for retail. -
I see this all the time and it’s just as ridiculous as the scalpers who run in the store at 8 am to try and buy all the stock. I go to target when I need something for the house. Why? Because any rational person knows that there’s a 95% chance that they don’t have any of the neca or hasbro stuff that I Would buy. I do look for it if I happen to be in the store, but I’m not wasting my time. You’re using up all that energy and gas to drive to different target or wal mart stores, and you end up spending just as much as you would with a scalper. More often than not, if I wait a few weeks for anything, I’ll find it at retail or below online. Patience is key. Everyone has to have everything NOW and that’s what feeds scalpers. None of this plastic crap makes anyone happy, and I’m not chasing anything that doesn’t make me happy. Just some perspective.
