  1. Agreed. NOT that I think Hot Toys has an easy job.... I'm very forgiving in my collection when they get 75% of the way there, because i'm sure capturing an actor's true likeness is incredibly difficult. But boy, there are times they hit a home run. I'm still blown away by the Jon Bernthal Punisher figure, and now this one too. It's uncanny how well they captured her..hopefully she keeps producing WW films, or other JL ones?, and this is their new standard sculpt.
  2. Now that's the big question, right? I wonder if HBO Max is viewing this as their "killer app"..... something to dramatically drive sales, like how Mandalorian propelled Disney+ into another stratosphere........ my two cents? They're wrong. There's a very vocal, but small, group who are dying to see this. I'm sure WB has done the math on cost to finish vs. projected income from original online content.... paging, "Trolls: World Tour" success...... but 2021 is a long way away, and this is a film viewed as a failure. It's not the same scenario ..... I know I for one I won't pay money........ for me it's due to hating how Zack views and uses Superman. It's one fan's opinion, one wallet that won't open for this, but my prediction is that I'm not alone. Whether I'm right or not, will be fascinating to see how it plays out....and honestly, I wonder what Marvel in movies or on DisneyPlus will be by then as counter programming!
  3. I agree with a lot of what you say here, I'm not sure her sexuality was her only qualification, but I agree that these lead roles are physically taxing while also requiring a massive commitment. And yeah, I'm sure there are a ton of unemployed actors who'd leap at the chance....but having vs. wanting is a key difference. It's interesting to see how the "Berlanti-vers" is playing out, I was surprised at a lot of negativity from Stephen Amell on his way out, didn't he say he was only doing the last season for the money? And Brandon Routh was unhappy, now a major lead quitting.... I wonder if this speaks ill for them lasting too many more seasons, even without the massive complications of the pandemic.
  4. Imaginative and well crafted, with awesome posing too! This is so cool....hmm, I wonder if DC is getting any ideas here....they should!
  5. Amazing! love how they captured her kind facial expression... I loved her nurturing yet strong personality in the movie and this really captures it, well done.
  6. Great call on Bionic 6! My next tier would be them and Centurions! ....Silverhawks is a must; and after seeing Defenders of the Earth? I fully believe Super 7 can get any license they so choose..... hmm, Wheeled Warriors far down the line?!
  7. Agreed! I just showed this classic to my kids the other night, and there are multiple gags wholly predicated on how much better Thomas F. Wilson is than Michael J. Fox....if they really are nearly the same height, that's a big miss on capturing part of the film's appeal. Ah well, still good quality costume sculpting here, which for NECA, is no surprise.
  8. Amazing. Spectacular. Sensational!........really clean, classic image. 'Stan would be impressed, I'm sure.
  9. has McFarlane ever gone the sof- goods route? I want to say no, he's only exclusively used hard plastic molds with hinges but! I don't know that for a fact...either way, I'd love to see a version of Batman in this style....extra posability and even perhaps a base to evoke the Gotham rooftops he's swinging over....seems like a natural fit. But I'd prefer they go more unexpected routes... e.g. the Superman Unchained armor was a delightful surprise...and of course ore non-Batman characters..but, I know sales can dictate roadmap...
  10. " 'Everything you know about He-Man is wrong" ..obviously, Kevin Smith's geek cred is strong, so I hope this is intentional phrasing and the show sticks to it. ..... I'm not often a fan of revisionism after revisionism, and would prefer to see new ideas for continuing the story forward....in addition, the mini He-man comics were a beloved part of my childhood. Hopefully there can be some sort of print promotion, written by Smith , to support / supplement the show..... yes, that's 100% a pipe dream in my head, but eh, hope is fun.
  11. 100% agree. Marvel should buy that second pic and use it as a bonus cover to a Star Wars or Guardians book!
  12. Classic! Erik Larsen had a lot of crazy ideas, not all of which were particularly thrilling to me...but! this one, to decimate an old school hero and have him reborn as a conflicted 90's over-armed killing machine, was a fantastic one. Very nice job recreating the character in 3d form! 'gave me all the happy nostalgic feels.
