  1. i really wish that they would have stayed closer to the classic look. heck, i'd have even been happy with something similar to the new toon look.

The classic look, the current toon look, the CG animated movie look, the 200X look, those are all subtle variations on the same basic thing. And quite honestly, all those figures look about the same (Bandanna, elbow pads, keen pads, a belt that may or may not have their individual letters on the buckle), all those are not radical changes. Frankly, I'm kind of surprised when I see so many people call for a more classic look. How much different would you expect those to be from the toys you've already got? Hey, I like the Turtles and I like that classic look, but don't you want to mix it up a little?

If these new looks aren't your cup of turtle soup, that's fine. I just appreciate when they try something different every once in a while...and that goes for almost anything. The turtles will not be depicted this way for the rest of time, maybe you'll like it the next go around.

Don't take this as any kind of defense for Bay Turtles. My expectations are as low as those for Age of Extinction.

yeah but this is more than just a slight variation, didn't they see how well Next mutation did? because this gives me the same vibe but i'm still going go see the movie just not impressed

  2. First off I'm all for diversity and would love to see more african american superheroes but not at the expense of turning established characters black for the sake of a trend. Nick Fury was black but that could be explained as the Ultimate Universe Nick Fury which was always intended as a homage and future casting choice for Samuel L. Jackson. Fox cannot even claim they're doing the ultimate comics verison of the Johnny Storm character because he's still very much white. The is simply a matter of a studio liking one performance by an actor and immediately coming to an assumption that this character is best suited for him. The fans the driving force behind these movies should always be considered for these films. If Hollywood is so fraking desperate for a black comic book movie adapt John Stewart as GL get a Luke Cage movie out there, do not turn Johnny Storm black for the sake of having a black character in your film. Second Fox has to be aware that adults 50 and over will still trek to see a Fantastic Four film, they've outrightly ignored this demographic and the comic demographic at that by putting this schlock together. To them this is a big waste of money and talent. Turning Dr. Doom into a woman will be the final straw. In my opinion I think Kate Mara would have made a fantastic Invisible Woman however the wrong project was chosen.

I totally agree with you, if they're so in need of BSH Movies how bout Djimon Hounsou for Black Panther or Michael Jai White for Luke Cage, they want to go crazy do a Miles Morales Ultimate Spiderman movie

  3. I liked the first 2 FF movies they had their problems and issues but minus F**king up doom they're were good, you know what screw it Doom is my fav villain and i'm tired of him being screwed over, atleast they get him right in the cartoons

  4. I cant see them releasing a slightly larger grimlock I mean I saw why they shrunk op to be 9in with the seekers and grimy and rodimus but we'll see

There's the ka-razy third party groups that can do one though.

well being that I don't own mp grimy if Fan Toys release all 5 then i'll get in on it but as of now screw the 4 FT MP dinobots and platform boots @smilepunch@

  5. I never got MP-10 Convoy/Optimus, because I had MP-01, and wtf, why bother getting a smaller crappier one?

But now I totally want one to be in scale with my other MPs, and this YOTH reissue is a great idea, a way to find one cheap...

but I'd have to paint way too much of it to get a 'normal' Optimus out of it.

If it was just paint the gold to silver, no problem. Instant buy. But it's way more than that.

I'm still waiting on the knock-off, improved one that we've seen news and pics of unless some other option comes up.

That KO is coming along nicely.

but the MP figures aren't in scale with eachother, grimy's to short, rodimus is to tall, blah blah, I mean if you listen to most of the height complaints

  6. Well I guess I'm glad some people seem to like this set. Definitely not for me.

AA its horrible to be a fan of both and try to talk about it, the shoe people think your crazy and that we should donate the toy @loll@ and then all the Tfans think the shoes are to expensive when in actuality these shoes are cheap when compared to Kobe's, Lebron's, and Jordan retros. So it's an interesting concept but me personally think that the nike's big 3 should do transformer ver. with the shoe boxes that they used from the nike x transformers colab for the shoe release for TF2

  7. I don't think it would make much sense to scale it in relation to one figure when a base scale now exists. A new Grimlock could also very well happen.

I cant see them releasing a slightly larger grimlock I mean I saw why they shrunk op to be 9in with the seekers and grimy and rodimus but we'll see

here's 2 pics of the $550 CJ81 Megatron Rises pack from nike insider

    Nike-CJ81-Collection-Inspired-by-Megatron-04-630x472.jpeg

this was last yr's pack found pic on highsnobiety.com

Megatron_DoubleFeature.jpg the clothing for this yrs colab pic from kicksusa.com I had totally forgot about the $30 beanie also I believe those socks are regular football elite socks with no decepticon logo and the purple red basketball elite socks match better

    tumblr_mwtwn4vDGo1qzw633o1_500.jpg

this is the snapback for this collection the hat and both shoes are 3m reflective to light pic from majordc.com

and that is the whole Calvin "Megatron" Johnson collection for the last 2yrs but they're are 3 other nike/tf colab shoes that were released in "09 and are expensive, if I haven't broken any rules posting these pics then i'll find pics of them and post those 3 shoes as well which are also pretty cool

  9. how much was the "Regular Price" before ebay? Those are definitely different.....kinda cool if you dig the purple haze of the Decepticons. I'm sure if I had em I prolly wouldn't wear them, just keep on hand to ooh & aaah at occasionally. Maybe wear them to my wedding or birthday occasion.....

One of the ebay auctions has a picture of the receipt for some reason which has the price at $550.

the $550 is the limited CJ81 Megatron pack which includes the Megatron figure, the CJ81 Trainer max and cleats and the SC II, the shoes were released everywhere online with the CJ81 Trainers with the figure retailing for $120 and the SC II retailing for $130, there's also a complete collection of accessories with a snapback $32, hoodie $85, and 2 different megatron shirts $32 each. I have every intention of getting the CJ81 trainers w/ figure and the clothing Friday on payday for me this is a dream come true being a transfan and sneakerhead, I wish I could go back to '09 and get the other nike megatron shoes, one other thing to note is this is Calvin Johnson's 2nd Megatron colab pack, though last year there was no figure and the decepticon symbol left a lot to be desired, but this time the colab is on point @firedevil@

  10. unless they release a grimy i'm passing on all the dinos, I don't like the extensions and I don't think they went the right way, had they been scaled to grimy i'd be fine but I could care less that grimy is not scaled to mp op if this even makes sense

  11. OMG, he is amazing! man, to have the whole MP set of the dino's would be rad. i would also love a classics scale line of them from 3rd party, similar to the insecticons we got a whle back.

They did a good job on Shockwave so I have high hopes for these...

the crazy thing is they're bigger than mp grimy, but the first release is coming with platform shoes for grimy to make him taller ala herman the munster style @pow@

  12. I loved IM3 and 2 and 1, you know why? same reason I liked the 2nd half of the hulk, every blade movie, and every other marvel movie.....the awesome action, that's all that matters, I don't care about the story half the stories in the comics are crap these days 7734 are there even any marvel marriages still alive? and y'all berate the story of the movies? its an action movie with a story to kinda tie the action together, you want something dramatic and awe inspiring go watch one of those academy award nominee movies and I won't say that there aren't things that I haven't liked in the marvel movies but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying them none the less

  13. I tend to agree with Jay. I am just hoping that we get Casey and Shredder next.

    Draven

2nd that.....just no April O'Neil.....I would rather get a Shredder before Splinter or Casey before April.....if that should even happen.....they should of did a BAF Krang for all the figs that woulda been awesooome

I agree... not because April O' Neil is a bad choice, but because I have a feeling that they will end up making her funny or weird looking. It's really hard to mess up Casey or Shredder, especially if you stick to the source materials. Splinter, on the other hand, might take some work.

i don't think splinter should take any work if he comes out as good as beebob and rocksteady than I would have no complaints and if we got a Tokka & Rahzar for the movie turtles I'd be alright with that, looking at the movie proto figures, i'm a little disappointed that they're not that rubber look and feel which made them so cool in the 90's and different from the cartoon figs
