I have a question about collecting figures
TheViewingGlobe replied to KingDiablo's topic in General Toy Talk
A variation of different sized figures can be more pleasing to the eye. When you hear people talk about size and scale they are referring to accuracy. You wouldn't want a Hulk to be shorter than Thor that would look silly and wouldn't match the source material which is what we are hoping to achieve. Even when mixing lines, which can be fun. Take Mcfarlane Toys new superman who is 7" scale, does not fit with 6" scale because he is not to tall. Their are may cases of mixing in Marvel selects larger scaled characters who are out of scale but still work because they have been drawn larger in difference reference art. Like if I could find a 25" Galactus I would take that over my 19" version. Because it would fit better. It also depend on your collection. someone who only collects turtles may have everything all different sizes mixed in and that would probably look dope. just depends. -

Transformers, Marvel/DC Comics, Star "Wars", Power Rangers, Tmnt, WWE, Fortnite, Call of Duty, ETC. All glorify war or as the writer would probably say (The Vanquish of Evil). Most of these lines glorify fighting and war in some capacity. Hasbro has been making G.I. Joes since the 1960's. And the only recently took a break from the 3.75" line. I'm not sure what difference an additional 3"s will make. Plus I've always thought of the G.I. Joes as the United Nations acting against and Evil organization that has no specific geographical location or cultural background. Just some good guys taking out bad guys. Additionally, 6" lines are where the money is at now. If the 3.75" collectors already have everything what is the incentive to buy more 3.75" figs of the same character that don't match the same style? 6" will bring in new collectors, customizer and toy photographers.- 118 replies

I'm not here to tell you how to do your job. We all enter this hobby knowing the cost, regardless of where we live. If you out of the US, likely you have been outside the US for a while. I get people vent, but it's not Hasbro's fault you don't have distributors in your area. And as far as cost goes, your country may have a tariff on US product. I wouldn't t know. My point is that we all enter this knowing what we are getting into and for collectors who are really into it like you and I, since we are part of these forums, etc. I like to say "It is all part of the game". We choose to play it, no one forces us. I get your frustration. But don't be surprised when someone excited tells you to pipe down, when you're talking and the movies about to go on. Nevertheless, we both have our opinions and we are both free to discuss them.- 118 replies

I don't see what the problem is. The last exclusive I had a problem finding was Marvel Legends SDCC Hulk. Everything from Hasbro seems to resurface for retail and sometimes go on discount. Goldar is $18 on GameStop now. I know people talk about Hasbro in a negative light, but they have been upping their distribution and generally make enough for collectors. If you are hunter is kind of on you not them. Amazon ships a lot for free, so does Hasbro pulse. And these are toys, Hasbro has been doing this since day one. they release a figure, then release a better one in a 2 or 3 pack. it happens. I have been becoming better at playing the waiting game. And we are getting G.I. Joes in 6" form(something we have been asking for). That likely will scale with legends and the teenager sized rangers. The Kit-bashing alone has me psyched. Oh wait the figures haven't even been revealed yet, let talk poo about'em. Don't be a Nancy.- 118 replies

I love the Original Music, Reminds me on 1989's Batman (oh you forgot about that?). With the amount of the suit that is shown, it is hardly enough to make and educated decision. Batman has many suits. Which would be cool aspect for them to throw in the movies. This will come down to the script and director, not Robert. Hater's gonna hate though.
