  1. This will not be the only way to get a “nice retro” deco’d Cobra Commander. In fact, we’ll probably get a “better” one. While this figure is styled like the vintage and even cartoon inspired this is a very particular version. The chest emblem mimics a rare early “misprint”. So yeah… if you want this specific homage then you’re gonna need to back the HasLab*. But there is no doubt that Hasbro is going to reuse this mold with a proper Cobra logo in the not too distant future. *Or wait in till they start popping up on Ebay by the thousands. My guess is a significant portion of backers will try and sell this “error” version of Cobra Commander to recoup some of the cost**. But with 20k backers I doubt they’ll even be able to get much more than a deluxe figures price. ** It’s certainly my plan TL;DR, you’ll have reasonable options
  2. My guess: the original release date was positioned to keep some distance from Shang-Chi. At a glance both martial arts heavy movies might feel too similar to casual audiences. But then Shang Chi moved from July to September. The holiday season is gonna be crowded enough with Eternals, Spider-Man 3, and Venom 2. So pushing Snake Eyes closer to the holidays risked it getting lost amongst that competition and other family focused holiday and awards movies. So if they couldn’t keep far enough away from Shang-Chi they might as well get out first. It’s gonna be interesting to see what trailer drops first, how people respond to both, and if buzz strongly favors one over the other. And here we all thought Snake-Eye’s nemesis was Storm Shadow...
  3. Sorry, but he cant have it both ways. He can't post to a group of people that he knows will "care" and then feign shock when they, ya know... care. If he wants to be a "part of a community" he has to be aware of the frustration other members are encountering trying to get these same items. Buying 13 brand-new super hard-to-find figures, all for himself, is kind of a dick move right off the bat. But to then post to that same community to boast/brag/gloat about having a baker's dozen makes him insensitive at best. And to expect anything other than blowback is beyond naive. So he's either a dick, a prick, or an idiot. But the truth is he's probably some combination of two or more. No one can stop him for buying a bunch of these figures for his own personal enjoyment. But then keep it a personal. Nobody owes him a thumbs-up. If he wants to show-off his little stash a year from now, fine. But he knows that NOW everyone else is coming up short. And a big reason why is because of man-children like himself with Cookie Monster levels of both appetite and self-control, contributing to the scarcity in the aisles. Is this guy a scalper? Maybe not. I mean he looks like a duck. He swims like a duck. And he's certainly quacking a lot. But even if he doesn't sell, as stated above, his hoarding contributes to an environment that makes scalping more profitable, and buying from scalpers more necessary. So he's far closer to the problem side of the equation than the solution side. He should examine that. Then there are the true Scalpers. Those bold, smug assholes, who constantly pat themselves on the back for their "hustle" and who--funnily enough, much like Chip Carroll--always seem to be inflating the value of their time and the cost of gas. What pisses me off the most about them is the fact that they have the nerve to exploit their "communities" for their blatant profiteering. At 2 to 3 times retail they're not "hooking me up." If they wanna front like they're "businesses" go sell on a legitimate business platforms like ebay and man up to selling fees like the big boys. Personally, as a buyer, I prefer ebay. If I'm gonna get f*cked buying a toy, I'd rather get f*cked on ebay. At least there I don't have to pretend we're pals.
  4. I know its not a full trench, but that leather jacket might be great for a custom Masters of the Universe Classics SkeleTeen
  5. Looks like cardboard to me. Heavy duty, well printed, nested boxes. But cardboard boxes none-the-less. You can even see the scotch tape holding it all together. At this price I was expecting something more along the lines of a vintage carrying case similar to the NECA TMNT one you mentioned. But this is definitely underwhelming.
  6. NECA would love to put 6" TMNT everywhere but they have no control over this. Playmates owns the US retail license for TMNT action figures at this scale. Originally NECA was only able to put this kind of product out in massive 1/4 scale or in very limited quantities as convention exclusives. Randy has been dedicated and determined to find creative ways to jump through hoops and loopholes to bring these lines to retail: with specialty retailers like GameStop, and for mass retail (like Target), displaying the figures in a unique "collectible" section--located closer to movies, music, and electronics--distinctly removed from the toy aisle. If they don't do it this way Playmates would see NECAs figures as competing with their kid-themed lines and shut it down. So if you have a complaint about being able to get your hands on these items direct your frustration, and comments to Playmates.
  7. Can anyone confirm if the 6" version of Shredder comes with he cape? The Gamestop image shows him out of the package with it. But the in-package shot isn't clear and the promo shots don't picture it. So I'm not 100% sure.
