Star Wars Vintage Collection Remnant Stormtrooper V165 Review
ToySoldierSarge replied to bossksbounty's topic in Toy Reviews
Looks good but the attempt to add dirt is awful - more like he's yellowed in the sun! A quick spray from an airbrush would've given a more convincing effect. -
Filoni sure loves including her in everything, doesn't he? Not a fan of her but no doubt many fans (especially of TCW) will love this inclusion. It'll be interesting to see how she translates to live action though.

Nice photo - I could definitely see this as a setup for a themed PSA!

McFarlane New Products Display From Toy Fair 2020
ToySoldierSarge replied to Outsiders's topic in 2020 New York Toy Fair
Hopefully the DOOM line is popular enough to warrant figures of the '93 game, I'd love a Doomguy and a Baron with a couple of Imps too. Sucks that GW is still trying to shove Primaris marines down everyone's throats because a normal marine would be an instant buy, especially the unpainted marine figure. I'd kill for a Dark Angels Space Marine.... -
There's no doubt that millennial prequel fans played a massive part in the Gunship being chosen, but it was one of the few ships from the prequel trilogy that featured so heavily in merchandise and on-screen. The Nebulon looks like a generic sci-fi ship and even those that have a passing knowledge of Star Wars wouldn't be likely to identify as a Star Wars spaceship, and while the bomber is very similar in design to one of the most iconic star wars ships it hasn't been favoured so much in merchandise or even on-screen. So when it comes down to it it's a choice between a ship heavily favoured by merchandise and very recognisable (even if only to the millennials) or a ship lacking in the popularity needed to win. Not to mention the fact that millennials are now reaching the age where they are managing their own finances and can now afford adult-targeted collectibles, so it is only inevitable that they played such a pivotal role in this.

My favourite part is the electric tape skirt - such a simple yet effective way of making it!

Another boring spaceship Ideas set, though at least the Apollo Saturn V looked interesting to build. This looks too repetitive and overly-reliant on stickers. I wish I knew what happened to the 10,000 supporters that said they'd buy the finished sets, because they never seem to materialise when the sets are releasede. 3 years on and the Saturn V is still clogging shelves...

I like them and they definitely have that retro feel as others have pointed out. Do you have plans to make any more?
