  1. It's (fortunately) been nearly two decades since we've had an actual origin story for Batman in the movies, though. Batfleck debuted quite late in his Batman's career, and Pattinson started 2 years in (early, but still established as Batman).
  2. Looks like a pretty great figure, EXCEPT for the paint scheming; I think the blue is too bright and the gold too dark.
  3. I mean, it's something literally all the previous movie Batman from Keaton onward have done, this was just the first time it was actually made explicit/shown in-story.
  4. Oh wow, they're rereleasing these Takara exclusives from like, 5 years ago??? That's out of left field.
  5. Fingers crossed he actually shows he can still play a character in this movie, instead of just doing yet again the same thing he's been doing for most of the past decade: playing himself.
  6. Just realized... aren't his boots supposed to be the same lighter red as his torso?
  7. Is that actually what they said? I looked at HissTank's reporting of the roundtable and all it said on that front is that all future releases will have preorders, not that all future releases will only be preorders. I can't imagine Hasbro would make a whole line like this, that seems to be doing decently well, entirely online-exclusive.
  8. Aw man, they're not abandoning the vac-metalized visors altogether, are they?
  9. Suit's nice enough, except once again recently they make the belt black instead of yellow/some yellow-adjacent color. That's like up there with the ears and some form of Batsymbol for important Batman iconography to me. Especially with an all-black suit like this, it really needs it to break up the darkness of the suit. I am really excited to see JK Simmons with a wig, though. Love when they put bald actors in wigs of varying quality.
  10. Yeah, I think that costume just needs a heaping helping of green on there. Design-wise it's fine IMO, just missing the green.
  11. hmmm....... so they're not updating the Viper with the new sleeve-above-the-elbow arms that Spirit introduced for that body....
  12. Looks great. Hoping that these new "sleeves rolled up above the elbow" arms for this body end up being used on whatever updated Viper they come out with next, like maybe the one in that rumored Viper+Viper Officer 2-pack
  13. Oh good lord NO. Actually mad that Hasbro's getting into this NFT bull.
  14. He's from a recently-released video game called Deathloop
  15. man, adult collector-oriented toy companies doing figures of their own original characters/IP really love to include middle-finger hands, huh
  16. no, it's samurai Spartan armor... y'know, something there's been some version of since Bungie's Halo 3, 14 years ago, with the Hayabusa armor.....
  17. Going by Super 7's other Ultimates figures: the thing that will mainly distinguish these from the Classified Series, most likely, is that they will pretty much look like 1/12 scale versions of the original toys, relatively soft detail and all.
  18. It's absolutely not some Japanese law, there's still plenty of other Japanese figures of non-DC properties that have guns (realistic and non-realistic). It's just a weird WB restriction on DC merch. A recent rare interview with Mez Markowitz of Mezco Toys from like back in the beginning of May corroborates it, he talked about the rule.
  19. Looks like the weird "no guns" DC toys rule is hitting this movie's figures especially hard, huh
  20. ...Why would this be a bad move? She may not have that extensive of a directing career, but she seems to have had quite the well-regarded film recently in One Night In Miami. Nothing about the possibility of her being chosen really screams "bad move" to me.
  21. Probably because of Warner Bros/DC's really weird restriction recently on guns in their merch. Things below a certain pricepoint aren't even allowed to have guns (with even things like $90 Mezcos and $100 MAFEXs somehow still being below that minimum price) and even things above that have to obscure them in the marketing material (like that Prime 1 statue of the Grim Knight, even though it's thousands of dollars and no kid would ever be in a position to buy it).
