  1. Does anyone else look at Skye and see an easy Molly Hayes custom?
  2. Beep/Bop/Boop

  3. This makes more sense than some might think; an EVA is a mecha with an organic core made from an "Angel", and Mechagodzilla has the remains of the ORIGINAL Godzilla as it's core.
  4. Yeah, I enjoyed Grayson-as-Batman. I don't particularly care for the "Dark Knights" stuff; certainly not enough to buy figures of them, especially ones that don't fit(scale-wise) with the rest of my collection. As for why I bother posting about it here: I have a need to vent to someone who might understand my frustration. None of my IRL friends collect action figures, so they don't get it. If I must scream into the void, I prefer it be one that MIGHT answer.
  5. The same logic can be applied to the comicbook industry: a monopolistic distribution system and the perception that retailers, not consumers, are the "real" customers, will ultimately prove self-destructive.
  6. Having an opinion isn't the same as trolling. I was watching Batman Beyond from the beginning, and I am well aware it's not a dystopia. I'll admit I jumped to some conclusions; I saw a head that's Batman-in-the-front, Joker-in-the-back, a Borg-looking bodysuit, an arm cannon the size of a Vespa, some kind of mechanical appendages sticking out the back, and the OMAC/Brother Eye logo on the chest. Pardon me for immediately thinking of Futures' End, which WAS a Dystopian/Post-Apocalyptic future that involved Terry McGinnis. Yeah, I'm a little behind on some storylines; so sue me. Actual
  7. Are you TRYING to pick a fight with me? The point I'm trying to make is that I wouldn't be interested in most of what McFarlane has been doing with the DC license, even if they were in scale with Legends. I'm tired of all these "grim and gritty" DC character designs, whether they're from Elseworlds, Post-Apocalyptic futures, etc. Enough "Batman blended with ___________" characters, thanks.
  8. I wasn't talking about Batman Beyond, specifically, but the general direction DC's been going in. DCeased, Death Metal, Future State, etc. And that Joker/Batman/OMAC...thing just reeks of "edginess".
  9. I'm 120% DONE with most of what DC is doing right now. I'm SO very tired of Dystopian futures; how many times is DC going to trot out the same old crap? This is the fifth, or maybe sixth "dark future" storyline since Flashpoint. Yawn.
  10. Like I said before, money's tight. I have haven't been buying monthly comics for the past few years, because I've been broke. Like, I almost died of pneumonia from sleeping in a tent at a homeless shelter last year, broke. Even when I did have money for comics, I probably wouldn't have picked up a book that just had someone's first name as the title. That just wouldn't grab my attention. Add BMB's name on the cover, and I REALLY wouldn't waste money on it. The best Bendis story I've read was when Squirrel Girl babysat for Luke and Jessica; perfect use of Doreen's talents. I don't mean that as
  11. Bruh. I'm not mad about this show. If they can make it a success, more power to them. BUT, if it fails, I don't want to see ANYONE make the claim that it failed because "Toxic Males", "_____ists", or "_______phobes". If it fails, it will probably be because it's not very good, or because NOBODY outside the ever-dwindling number of people who actually buy American comicbooks has ever heard of her. DC has SO many characters that they could develop shows or movies around, it seems weird that they chose a character with so little history. They'd be better off giving Martian Manhunter a spinoff.
  12. I can be civil, but only if my First Amendment rights are respected. That means not deleting my posts for pointing out the hypocrisy in the entertainment industries claims of diversity and inclusion, when what they've actually been doing is EXCLUDING long time fans. Ask yourself this: Does the actor/actress bear even a PASSING resemblance to the character on the page? If not, then they were chosen for Twitter Brownie points, not because they were the best choice. Cyclone is a relatively new character. She's been in less than 200 issues, and hasn't been seen since before Flashpoint.
  13. Barbara Gordon James Gordon James Olson James Harper Roy Harper Koriander Hank Hall Maxine Hunkell What does DC have against redheads? And before anyone says anything, I don't like it when they miscast black, Asian, or Hispanic characters, either. It doesn't happen as often, but it DOES happen. While I enjoy Vinny Jones' performance in "Arrow", his character was supposed to be African-American. And just yesterday I saw that Netflix is working on a live action reboot of Winx Club, and they cast white actresses as the Asian and Latina charact
  14. "Cutting out a man's tongue doesn't prove him a liar; it proves you fear what he has to say." Red haired people have been discriminated against for centuries, and now red haired actors and actresses are missing out on roles they were born to play. #gingererasure
