NECA 7" The Original Superheroes Series 1 Figures
Dorkraki replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I was especially careful, tried multiple times with a little heat, cool water then about 30 min. in the freezer then moving it at room temp, it just snapped at the hips on the third attempt. The hip pieces were 100% fused together. My Ming had no stuck joints so you can get lucky getting a good figure. Thanks for the help, I contacted Neca through Twitter, hopefully they can send a replacement Zuffy. -
NECA 7" The Original Superheroes Series 1 Figures

The OGs look great! Had a bad experience with series 1 though, my Phantom had multiple joints fused together, no amount of heat or cold would help, they just snapped off. After getting no customer service from Neca, I returned it to Walmart. After a couple of months, picked up another Phantom from the later re-releases, the Phantom was great, no fused joints, Zuffy on the other hand had a stuck arm and neck, after trying to move them a little, the entire figure fell apart and the head snapped off. The Ming figure was a different issue, every figure I found on pegs had terribly painted faces. I finally picked up a perfect Ming and there are no issues with the joints. I really hope Neca has improved the quality of their figures and their customer service. -

The nose is probably from the Invisible Man, possibly the wig as well. -
Todd McFarlane Draws New Blood For His Action Figures

That's the front of the jacket on the Fortnite Big Mouth figure. Probably a test sample figure they had lying around they used for the demonstration. -
Yes, have some! This one I don't want to miss out on, wish this wasn't an exclusive. At least they give us early enough notification that we can save up for this.

Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn Figure Gets Running Change With New Weapon
Dorkraki replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I ordered a MK11 Spawn figure off Amazon for retail a week ago as well, I received mine a couple of days ago and got the sword version. Having seen what the mace looks like, I'm happy to get the sword instead.- 30 replies

Chekov was replaced in the Animated Series with Arex, a six limbed alien. I think it would be fine to replace the character with an interesting looking deep lore Trek character especially given the situation. I love Hawley's work on Fargo and Legion, so I welcome a Trek film from him! I'm not as much a fan of Tarantino's work but I'd also love to see what he comes up with. The last three Abams Trek films have been in declining profits so to have these very talented people attached to Trek films can generate the much needed buzz to get financing to make more Trek. At this point it's the smartest thing they can do. Just as long as the keep the vile Orci and Kurtzman away from these Trek movies, I'll be happy.

New Tron Select 7" Figures Coming From Diamond Select Toys
Dorkraki replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I wish the likenesses were better. Hopefully the production pieces will look better in hand. For series two I'd like RAM, Yori, and a Red Guard. For the build item I want Master Control with popcorn necklaces as accessories. -

New Fortnite 6" Legendary Series Figures From Jazwares Revealed
Dorkraki replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
That's why I bought him, I don't know much about Fortnite but I can't pass up a cool looking figure. He'll work as a very short statured henchman. One other thing to consider with these is that the human head sculpts look like the game design, so they're more on the cartoonish side. Not much of a problem with figures that don't have a face showing. I'm going to try and get The Visitor next. -

It's closer to Figuarts scale. I measured Wildcard and he's exactly 6" tall and a bit on the thin side. I included a comparison pic with Ronin to give you a better idea. The other figures in the series might be a little larger though. -
New Fortnite 6" Legendary Series Figures From Jazwares Revealed

I found these in a Walmart today, picked up Wild Card. The figure is really nice, albeit a bit small compared to Marvel Legends. Great paint especially on the face plates and rpg. There's a ton of articulation including finger hinges, butterfly shoulders, and toe hinges. There are detent joints in the shoulders, hips, elbows, knees, and ankles. The only limited movement is moving the hips forward. The color of his suit is more powder blue and the suit jacket piece is a very soft plastic that you can remove. The briefcase bling doesn't open, the handcuffs don't move and are not removable, and the weapons are stylized. The warhead on the rpg is not removable. The removable face plates work really well, it's hard to decide which to use. I'm really quite impressed with this figure, I'm going to pick up Skull Trooper and Havoc next.
