Chronicle Collectibles Facing An Uncertain Future
AlanXember replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I was wondering why their Jurassic Park/World 1/12 line kick-starter missed their reported "summer blockbuster" window... It's sad to hear this happening now. I feel like that kick-starter would have brought them a lot of success and circulated their brand in really good ways. I'm not sure it would alleviate what's happening to them now now, but I can't help but feel it could have helped. -
Really happy to see the final versions for Gandalf added the bicep swivel. I really like how these turned out overall. I hope they have more lord of the rings figures planned beyond Gandalf and Sauron.

Damian looks stellar. I hope he's not down to just single knees and elbows, though.

NOOO! So sad. It's one of the rare projects that surpassed it's cult-classic original. Man, Henson's projects shouldn't have to fight THIS hard just to exist, especially with how good and genuine they can be. High production cost and not enough buzz/viewership is my guess. It deserved the investment imo. At LEAST one more season would have been enough to figure out some closure. It deserved three though.

I really like what I can see of the Headsculpts so far (Jessica probably least, but might actually look great w/o the weird lighting). The Torso sculpt looks like it's balancing great sculpt and paint with articulation. The limbs are where things start to look weird for me - it might be the "bagginess" of the stillsuits making everything look sort of droopy and oddly-proportioned. I'll probably customize some there. I'm a little worried the weapons might come out a bit cartoony like Kitana's sai from Mortal Kombat. I'll echo the sentiment on costumes - i'm surprised we went all stillsuits for

Cool, I'm really interested in in the breadth, style and pricing of these so far. I hope they don't plan to release just two at a time though. I feel like the line's license diversity is one of it's strongest attributes thus far.

McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat 11 Shao Kahn Figure Revealed?!?
AlanXember replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Good catch! Looks like a clear logo right over the face of his hammer. I have to imagine they have promo shots of the Dune merch all ready to drop since the license announcement stated a Fall release. This week would be a good time for reveals what with the trailer and interview drops earlier today.- 39 replies

Official Teaser Movie Poster For 'Star Wars: Episode IX'
AlanXember replied to Outsiders's topic in Star Wars
I feel that. After all, regardless of what they do, it's not likely they'll be able to please everyone. Many of us will undoubtedly feel let down. I don't mind either way, for me, Star Wars is what you make of it. -
Official Teaser Movie Poster For 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

To each their own. If it's any help, this looks to be the last major SW film before Disney & LF pump the breaks a bit and focuses on streaming and smaller projects for awhile. That's what appears to be happening anyway. For myself, I'm excited for a "grand finale" to the saga. I'm curious as to how they wrap it all up. -
Great paintjob then! I imagine it looks great on the shelf with other black series

I was waiting for a Figma BOTW Link before the game came out. I thought it was inevitable with all the Zelda series figmas we were getting. Seems that trend stopped cold after the Twilight Princess releases for whatever reason. I wouldn't rule it out, but there were many of us waiting for a BOTW Link in Figma only to still have nothing to this day. Nendroid and Medicom RAH, sure, but no 1/12 scale anything. However, Figma has continued to provide character for its persona line and the new Fire Emblem game just announced new figmas at wonderfest. We may yet see Legend of Zelda Figma with

That head looks dead on, where did it come from? Great use of cloth too, it's a lot harder to implement than many may think.

Thanks for the info, I'm eager to hear all the details we can get. It's a longshot but I figured I'd ask: was there any clarity on whether or not they they would be two packs/ boxed sets? I could see Owen coming with Blue from SDCC if that was the case. I'm hoping for a JW Claire with flair to put with the colossal T-rex. That scene was my favorite Claire moment in the series.

That hip articulation is really impressive on the crouching pose. Neca has come a long way, I may need to check out some Predators.

Anybody interested in Batman's future should check out Pattinson's body of work post Twilight. Not only is he a really talented guy, he also comes off as a really reasonable human being with drive and passion for his work. One role shouldn't be enough to condemn an actor forever. Heck, Christian Bale would've gotten the same flack if he headlined a series like Twilight. Imagine if one film was all it took to take Bale out as Batman. Imagine if The Dark Knight never happened because of fans backlash against Heath Ledger as the Joker. We would have missed out on some of the greatest superhero p

The use of the Kylo Ren belt is brilliant. It actually looks like an unintentional arashikage symbol at that scale.- 2 replies
