  1. With respect to anyone the new series appealed to... And I mean that, if you liked/loved it, it did its job and that's great.... But this series seemed really confused about what it was to me. The Willow movie had such a strong, rough charm to it, with some unlikely, clearly unimportant characters, in a rough but fun fantasy world that end up saving the day and earning some enjoyable, admirable and natural character dynamics and growth. It felt authentic and gritty, as if the fantasy heroes never showed up, so we got a worldly, but morally ambiguous and delusional thug and a half-height farmer that just wants to be back with his kids. A fun fantasy romp with a heart anyone can relate to. In contrast, the series seemed to revel in cliche, self-important, high-borne fantasy heroes learning to be more self-infatuated and angsty while bordering on being abusive to the ones they claim to love for forced melodrama or a joke. Like watching a terrible, shallow highshchool clique that pretends to be friends until the others aren't looking. Not in the unlikely heroes way either, more like how slasher movies write horrible, shallow people being awful to eachother as leads so people root for the killer. All wrapped up in very modern, fast-food storytelling and writing. The ending felt so empty to me. Really wanted to defend this show, but I couldn't find anything to get behind. The one upside I can think of is that they know when to quit.
  2. The Avatar stuff is pretty interesting. I wonder if W.O.P is a smaller world building line called World of Pandora, like World of Halo figures from Jazwares. Would be sweet if they were compatible with articulated figures since Halo and Avatar have a pretty compatible fantasy military vs aliens aesthetic. If they're also releasing Amp suits and Banshees in larger 6-7inch scale, that sounds amazing too.
  3. I like the look of this. Sort of a budget SHF line from bandai? Would be a great way to get stuff from more obscure properties or more characters from existing ones. Probably unrealistic to hope for this kind of line for Star Wars? I'll keep hoping regardless.
  4. Great first wave, but with them being the main 4 characters, I'm not confident we'll get much more after. I wouldn't mind getting some variants if nothing else can be done tbh. It would be cool to see this line continue, but I'm getting too used to McFarlane's one and done lines.
  5. I really wish he could have just showcased the 7inch figures over the weekend. That Zuko looks great from what we can make out, and as others have said, the 5 inch line just isn't as impressive at all.
  6. Nice, I really like that we're getting the bike and drifter look in wave 1. It would be so rad to get the Batmobile in 7inch scale too. I really dig the Batman they are going for in this: A leaner, more methodical and patched-together detective type that appears to be teetering on the edge of sanity in his pursuit of justice. The bodybuilder, brawns-over-brains type Hollywood Batman will just never represent the character to me. I think Pattinson will nail the role too; like how Heath created/redefined one of cinema's most iconic villains overnight despite being fervently panned by the internet when he was originally cast.
  7. I can't recall what list I saw, but one of the leaks that should off the JL and Suicide Squad figures also listed a Ciri coming around the same time.
  8. I was wondering why their Jurassic Park/World 1/12 line kick-starter missed their reported "summer blockbuster" window... It's sad to hear this happening now. I feel like that kick-starter would have brought them a lot of success and circulated their brand in really good ways. I'm not sure it would alleviate what's happening to them now now, but I can't help but feel it could have helped.
