About Me
I'm very new to the whole toy collecting hobby but I have been intrigued by the association of action figures with comics, television, animation, games & film. It's a very unique way to connect different formats of entertainment into one place; the action figure. I originally started collecting during my single digit years in the 1990's. My toys consisted mostly of robots from the Megazords of Power Rangers to the transforming Maximals & Predacons of Beast Wars. Those vintage toys are still with me today. I simply stopped collecting since I wasn't into cars & the subsequent Transformer & Power Ranger shows wouldn't interest me till decades later. I watched a lot of TMNT 2003 when it aired but I had no motivation to buy the action figures. I'm surprised at myself for not grabbing anything during that time. Throughout the years I would occasionally receive some form of toy gift that my parents just decided to give me & I was okay with it. By 2018 something in me desired to have more. I spent the late 2000s through the late 2010's mostly watching older anime. Eventually I hit a point where I felt I needed a different type of stimulation; to leave my comfort zone. I became curious of American cartoons specifically the ones I missed out & some 90's shows I never got to finish. I watched many different shows which I surprisingly became very passionate with the series. My first contribution of modern action figures were the Playmate Toys 2012 TMNT Classic Collection as I grew immersed in everything Ninja Turtles at that point. And that led to He-Man which led to Ghostbusters & so & so on. Somehow I ended up here. I can't recall what YouTube video or what exact figure got me motivated to start collecting but I'm here now.
