I have to agree with Jaster. Ive seen it 2 times so far, and going back tomorrow. Its hard to imagine that 3 years from now i will not be sitting in line waiting to see another new star wars movie. This has also given me a new feeling for the original trilogy. This movie was so emotional. Seeing Anakin tear up while standing on the balcony on Mustafar after killing off all those separatists. I think at that point is when it struck me the most. He had not done any of this for his own personal need for power. He did it for Padme, to save her from the death he had dreamt. he didnt necessarily want to slay the jedi, or anyone for that matter. it was all for promises of power to save the one person he loved the most. then in the end, in a fit of uncontrollable rage he force choked her, leading up to her imminent demise. such a tragedy. the one person he had done all this for to save her life was now dead. imagine how that would make you feel. giving up everything you knew for promises of a power that you never would be able to use. Its just overwhelming to think about. It is a shame that this is the last movie. But with watching this, and watching the original trilogy afterwards, i find myself with a new view of Vader. he isnt the evil man that i always thought him to be. He is a victim of circumstance. A man who had to go through the rest of his life, with the knowledge that what he thought he had done to keep his world together only tore it apart. I see him totally different now that i have seen ep 3. I just hope that the tv show that is to follow all of these events keeps with that same emotional feel.

I dunno jj, the thing had a may 5th date stamp on it. wish like heck i woulda gotten a camera phone now. I was honestly surprised when i saw it. The lady didnt want to sell it to me, but i just couldnt take no for an answer. She set it back on the pallet, i waited til she walked away and snagged the case and cut it open and headed for the register. After seeing the date stamp on it, i was almost sure that it wouldnt ring up, but it did, so i bought it and got out of the store. I guess if a bunch of us start finding these tomorrow, maybe we will see some other new stuff as well.

Thanks. I didnt see anything anyone posted about a street date for the thing in your thread. So this is sorta new news. And pogo, i wholeheartedly agree. I cant afford another either. My wallet is still sore from April 2nd. But i can say i am honestly hoping to run into lots of new stuff in the morning before I go in to work.

Yeah, i think i read that report. I didnt recall if it said anything about a release date on the case tho. Or did you just find it on the shelf? I had thought April 2nd was the only street date on the toy line. But after seeing this, it made me wonder if there were gonna be newer figures released and such.

So does this mean that we are having another midnite madness type of thing. I have seen no other reports. I did manage to get it tho, and the register didnt lock out the sale. So whats the scoop with this. Will there be any other May 5th releases?

Spoilers below * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Ok, i just managed to finish reading the Episode 3 TPB and picked up on something that i havent seen posted yet. Im sure we all remember Anakin in E1 was supposed to have been concieved by the midichlorians. Well, in the E3 tpb, when Chancellor Palpatine is telling Anakin of the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis, he brings up the fact that Darth P. learns how to influence the midichlorians to create life. Of course Darth P. got killed by his apprentice in his sleep, who turns out to be Palpy, who also learned of these abilities. So therefore it is entirely possible that Palpy influenced the midichlorians to create Anakin in order to make it appear to the Jedi that the prophecy of the one who would bring balance to the Force was happening. Palpy seemed to be able to foresee all of the events that transpired, so it is in the realm of possibility that Lucas intended it this way. It would really bring another level of tragedy to the whole saga.

Holy cow. I can tell you now that i dont care who you are, if you see this movie, its gonna jerk a tear. Is that an excerpt from the book. If so, im going to have to buy it april 2nd.

It has LED's in it. turn it on and then hit another switch that changes from the blue leds to the red leds. the blade itself is clear. get it, you wont regret it. i dont usually buy lightsabers too much, but this one was a must have.

Well i finally got wise to the force last nite and went to walmart. lo and behold 3 cases sitting on a pallet. Got both anakins, both obiwan, chewbacca, tarrful,agen kolar, padme, spinning yoda, darth vader, count dooku, r2d2, coruscant crimson guard. on a prior trip a couple weeks ago i snagged vaders medical droid, palpatine, saesee tinn, mas amedda and c3po. the only thing i officially cant stand at this point is the 2 saber swinging action feature anakin and obiwan have lightsabers permanently in hand. and obiwan cant stand on his own. i finally get him standing and walk away for a couple minutes just to find him flat on his face again. but overall i really am diggin these figures. i also snagged anakins color change lightsaber. that thing rocks. it keeps my lil 7 month old son entertained.

i am in absolute awe. i cant wait to see this. Why is may 2 months away??? If this trailer is only a piece of what the movie is to be im not going to be able to stay in my seat. I wish they would just release it now and get it over with.

I have the takara version. Its the same mold as far as i can tell. Rather than dishing out outrageous prices for the hasbro one, i got the takara version for under 30 bucks. Plus he looks more like the show version with the symbols. its a really nicely made figure.

I cant remember where i read it, maybe on the allspark, but i heard it was cancelled.

Just got back from there...just seems to mostly be the black carded figures, but they are only 9.96 for 2 of them. Another attempt by the big H to clear out old stock. Ones i saw that were included in the 2 packs that i can remember are, Rodimus, Prowl, Hot shot, Starscream, Demolisher, Inferno, and maybe 1 or 2 that i cant think of off the top of my head. Now i really wish i would have held off on these figures til now, oh well. 5 bucks each, not bad at all.

Ill definitely be getting it.......but its not gonna be as good as a tv series or movie...oh well, ill take what i can get.

My two year old daughter has to remain constantly locked out of "the room". SHe has a fascination with the show and the cars....G1 to present. i went out the other day and got her a couple of the playschool gobots. She falls asleep with them some nites, and you can hear her screaming transformers all the time. she loves it......my son is next....hes only 3 months old.
