Looks like the end for DCSH figures maybe closer then we thought
Hordak Alpha replied to Scott's topic in DC Comics
I'm just wondering why some stores would be holding off on stocking wave 2 for so long. Wave 2 hasn't even hit the shelves in my area. If my area stores are attempting to sell off the remaining wave 1 stock I think they are going to be trying for awhile. The Batman figure of that wave just looks too overmuscled and ugly. I'm waiting for the Supergirl figure to pop up. She is the only one I'll be getting. -
Why do errors keep showing up in these sets? First most of the discs of my Season 1 Vol 1 set were scratched and then the episode guide was missing from Season 1 Vol 2. Thankfully I happen to have a dvd player that can play scratched up discs but still it isn't very comforting to keep hearing about errors in these sets.

Me too. The way wave 1 is hanging on the shelves in my area stores is ridiculous. They might as well be moved to clearance to make way for wave 2 and Supergirl already.

My situtation is just as bad as everyone else. My area wal mart has an entire freaking wall of wave 1 figures that have been sitting there for a few months. The local target only has four wave 1's left but clogged the rest of the pegs with JLu figures. K-Mart is even more sad. It has eight wave 1 figures sitting on a shelf while the rest of the pegs are full of JLU figures from several months ago. I've been wanting the Supergirl from wave 2 for quite awhile now and I'm puzzled why wave 2 hasn't come around yet. The action figure pegs are so badly clogged with peg warmers at my local wal mart that an entire wall was cleared out of the pool toys section just for Superman Returns figures. -
Ugh! Wave 2 hasn't even hit my area stores yet. Wal-Mart and K-Mart still have full pegs of wave 1 and target has four figures from wave 1. I'm starting to get really mad at Mattel. They pulled this s*&t back during the MOTU Wave 3 with Teela and now it is happening again when I want to get the Supergirl figure. This is so damn annoying it isn't funny.

Who would want to see the same 39 episodes rerun constantly anyways? Now if the series were still putting out new episodes that would be a different matter but I can't stand watching and rewatching a show that was super short in episode numbers. It is the same with JLU/JL. I can't just rewatch the same episodes everyday. I just don't care for repeats constantly. I got tired of watching MacGyver because of this.

The artwork is pretty good. It looks very close to the Filmation artwork. -
He-man reference on WWE Raw tonight
Hordak Alpha replied to SKYWARP's topic in Masters of the Universe
Not even. HHH doesn't make a good He-Man and he never will. There is no one who could portray He-Man in a live-action sense. Dolph Lundgren tried and he couldn't so what makes HHH so special??? I don't even think the person who has been cast as He-Man in the new MotU movie will make a good He-Man. -

I don't see why people are always trying to compare HHH to He-Man. He doesn't even look like He-Man. HHH is too bulky, his hair is way too long and he is ugly. -
@loll@ Well, I wouldn't be me if I didn't express my bitter distaste for Mattel's horrible management of the MotU line when they could have done so much better.
-
As in knock-off I was expecting to see a figure that looked like Syklone only made by a toy company that is trying to cash in on MotU but what I see in that pic looks exactly like the official Syklone figure. So no big deal with this one.
-
That is another thing that pi$$ed me off about the whole MotU action figure fiassco. Some stores would order MotU figures but they wouldn't get all of them plus they would have ones I had already gotten sitting on the shelves for months on end keeping new ones from being ordered. In some aspects I'm kind of glad the whole thing is over because it does become maddening trying to find that one figure and having to go to several different stores just to find one. I hope it isn't that hard when it comes to me finding that new Supergirl figure that is supposed to come out soon. Knowing my local stores, and Mattel, the Batman wave is going to probably sit on the shelves for a long time and then I suppose the stores are going to order more Batman waves to replace them.
-
Think of it all this way. Right now, when you buy a staction, you have to pay like $20 for each one while the MotU action figures retailed around $7 or $8. In my case I can't afford the stactions and while they are good looking and probably more detailed than any action figure could be I'd still be just buying the MotU action figures, that is if Mattel hadn't prematurely killed them.
-
Besides why would Mattel want NECA to make MotU action figures when NECA could actually market them the right way? Then that would just rub more salt into Mattel's wound considering they couldn't market MotU effectively to save their souls.

Seems like I was never going to see her....

The He-Man.org exclusive Sorceress looks even better. The exclusive has the classic colors of the original Sorceress. I'm betting the price is going to be quite steep. -

Looks nice. Wish I could afford one. Mattel should have made a figure of her. The Sorceress played a very integral part to the newer show just as much as He-Man. -
It isn't Goddard from Beastmaster and even if he did get cast as He-Man I'd think it would be confusing to all of those who saw him on Beastmaster. Although he is a much better choice to play He-Man than any calvin klein model or wrestler. Goddard has some experience when it comes to playing the kind of hero He-Man is. He might have to bulk up a little more though.

Well, nothing yet so far. I've tried a few of the previous dvd remote control button combos for the previous sets but they don't work for this set. I've also tried a few of my own but nothing yet. I'm guessing there is at least one or two more easter eggs on this set.
-
The MotU Season 1 Vol.2 set is awesome. I got mine last week and have watched the first two discs so far. Hopefully there are more easter eggs in the set besides just the one on disc five. I've been trying to find others and so far haven't found any yet. If I do find some I'll post them here and I'd hope everyone else out there with the set would post their findings too.

& dont' u forget it Z06 said the Rock can't act. I agree with that analysis. The Rock can't act, at least when it comes to He-Man and neither can that male model Woo wants to cast.

why fix something that aint broken

The whole thing is just a gimmick to promote the new movie and a new"futuristic" toyline created by an idiot. I have actually liked the new TMNT toon since it started in 2003 and I don't see why there has to be a new show to replace it with an overused plot (He-Man went to the future too and his toys were pulled from shelves for a few decades) plus the fact the new show is supposed to be "more comical" Why?? I liked the darker tone with more serious villains that the TMNT toon took. I'm most likely not even going to give this turtles in the future show a chance. It is going to bomb terribly and we're going to lose the turtles all over again. I wish it weren't so but it's going to happen. -
Considering Boomerang is being run by the idiot geniuses of Cartoon Network I'm actually not surprised that they are already in reruns of reruns. CN is notorious for starting a season of a new cartoon (example Justice League Unlimited) early then they run six episodes then they don't resume the rest of the season until nine months later. Boomerang proably isn't run any differently.
-
will they ever do new episodes????
Hordak Alpha replied to autobotx25's topic in Masters of the Universe
We can always think of what could've been but we must face the reality that the show has been gone for practically two years now. I don't think it could come back now even if an audience could be built.
