  1. The day I do that is the day when hell freezes over and Heath Ledger actually makes a movie that doesn't make me #yuk@# or @puke@ . Basically, never going to happen.
  2. There's pics of her in that other thread Doom Saber mentioned. It's just repainted with black skirt and boots, and the yellow on the "S" shield was painted black too. @grumpy@ ???????? What????? From the pics from the SDCC the next Supergirl that was supposed to be coming out was the Kara Zor-El Supergirl dressed in the new costume featured in the current comics. So, any word on when the Kara Zor-El Supergirl will be seeing the light of day, or even see it at all? I don't seem to recall the Linda Danvers Supergirl ever wearing a black skirt. Did Mattel just make it up for no reason??
  3. So where is the Supergirl variant that was supposed to come out in wave four?
  4. The line will probably end for the U.S. shortly before the second Supergirl figure comes out. My local stores never even had the Superman wave, all they ever had were the peg-warming Batman wave. I had to get my Supes and Supergirl on an online store.
  5. It looks more like the Joker than Heath Ledger ever could be. Ledger will be a terrible Joker, he'll probably be like Ceasar Romero's Joker.
  6. It was alright. It had it's funny parts. There is another He-Man vid on YouTube that is cool where it is a montage of MotU past and present set to the song "Princes of the Universe" by Queen also.
  7. Alot of research must have went into that. Neat.
  8. I most likely got into the whole Superman thing from cartoons, comics and coloring books like most of the responses here. You know how little kids are, we were like them once. Little kids just seem to love big superheroes who do incredible feats. Of course I'm more into female superheroes, ooo lah lah.
  9. What the heck is a build a figure? Is it something like one of those build a bear workship thingys I see advertised on tv all of the time?
  10. I stopped collecting them when all of the MotU stuff could only be gotten through online stores. I may end up ceasing collecting Mattel's DC Superheroes line considering I was only able to get the Superman and Supergirl figures online just because my area stores wouldn't carry them because they were still full of the Batman wave. Leave it to Mattel to screw up yet another good toy series before it even gets off the ground.
  11. So, does Nolan really want to make a terrible Batman film? From the recent announcements of casting for the upcoming Dark Knight I take it he does.
  12. Considering the animation style I'm not going to watch it just like I don't watch The Batman or Teen Titans. WB's animation style has just turned cheap and sloppy. I just can't bear to look at animation like that considering what I'm used to seeing since Batman: TAS.
  13. Nice. At least there is a new use for all of those clearance halloween costumes. I'd do the same thing myself if I had any extra MotU figures to make customs out of.
  14. Cool custom. Where did you get the cape? For some reason it makes me think of the cloth cape that came with the Shredder figure from the 1988 line of TMNT figures.
  15. That is what Mattel does, make the customers hunt for their products in every single store. They a. make money this way and b. enjoy pi$$ing off certain fan bases. They did it all the time with the MOTU line of 2002-2004 and have done similar with the JLU line and the DC Superheroes line. I got so frustrated on trying to find a Supergirl when all my stores had, and still have, the wave 1 Batman figures that I had to get Supergirl from KB Toys.com. I know how you feel, brother. That kind of crap gets me annoyed too.
  16. Meh, it is like someone annoucing William Hung has been cast to portray Ming the Merciless in a new Flash Gordon movie. Putting an untalented actor in a villain role that they just can't portray in the right way.
  17. Well, Adrian Brody has the Joker nose. The real reason why I don't think Heath Ledger would make a good joker is because he is a bad actor. A Knight's Tale was awful from the parts of it I saw plus he is too much of a pouty, pretty boy to do the role of the Joker any justice.
  18. Ledger is going to be an awful Joker. Nolan must want to ruin the Batman film franchise before it makes it off the ground. Brokeback Batcave....no thanks. I suppose then Ashton Kutcher is going to be the Riddler in the near future and Richard Simmons is going to be Bane.
  19. "Their's was a secret love that they couldn't deny." Christian Bale Heath Ledger Brokeback Batcave Coming Soon @smilepunch@
  20. Has Mattel said when they are going to release the wave with the Kara Supergirl figure?
  21. After seeing those pics now I want the Kara Zor-El Supergirl after all the trouble I had to go through to get the Linda Danvers Supergirl. The new ones shown at the SDCC are supposed to be out in the fall right?
  22. Geez, yeah, Wal-Mart was the worst when it came to getting the third wave of MotU in 2003. I hunted the longest for Teela and finally got her in the middle of that summer, two months after when she already should have been available. Right now I and many other collectors across the mid-west and Great Lakes region are going through a repeat of this only now with the DC Super Heroes line. It is actually starting to pi$$ me off in a way. All I want to get is the Supergirl figure and every single store in my area is just dragging their heels. The Target near me only has five of the Wave 1 Batman figures with the rest of the shelf being the new JLU three packs. Ugh, the whole thing just drives me crazy.
  23. I hate to say it but I can actually see this line ending before it can even begin. There has been nothing but wave 1 Batman figures at my area stores for the past few months and now my local wal-mart just restocked on the wave 1 Batman figures. I'm having a hard time trying to believe that management couldn't see that the twenty wave 1 Batman figures weren't selling already that they decided to restock on them instead of getting the wave 2 Superman figures. Are the people that run these stores actually as stupid as I think they are? Apparently so.
  24. Are you going to let a couple of idiotic politically correct writers ruin Superman for you? Truth of the matter is Superman has always stood for and always will stand for Truth, Justice and the American way. Superman really belongs to the tried and true fans who have kept him going and popular after all of these years. Comic book writers may keep trying to remake Superman using political bull s**t but that doesn't mean Superman's motto is ever going to change. The writers can screw themselves over political correctness. Superman is still 100% American made with original motto intact as far as I'm concerned.
  25. So, the east coast and the southern states seem to have them. It seems that the midwestern states and the northern great lakes area don't have them. My question is why? Why has the rest of the country had wave 2 for weeks while the rest have to go without and wait?
