  1. Set looks great, and a great review too! I'm going to pick this one up when it releases.
  2. Unless these become available without the hassle, I've accepted the fact that I won't ever get the Batman Predator set. I read online gripes from people who couldn't even pay for them on the site despite being right there when they became available. I didn't even try, not only because do I not like hassle in my collecting, but $60 is a bit steep when I really only want that Batman. I'm not mad though, good for those who could get them. I only have the energy to be mad at Walmart right now because I can't get the Power and Glory Captain America despite the fact that I'm surrounded by Walmarts.
  3. I hope the Alfred is Michael Gough from the first 4 Batman films, aka the only "true" Alfred Pennyworth. Also curious what their Grayson Batman is going to look like. And what happened to the all-black Keaton-ish Toy Biz 89 Batman we saw pics of?
  4. I like the font for the Penguin logo, and I especially like the photo of him midair flip-kicking! Makes me really wish DeVito did that in the movie.
  5. Cool! Playing outside with toys is something we should all do more often.
  6. Not my first choice either, but I'm okay with him. I really didn't want them to cast somebody in their twenties like some of the rumors swirling around for a while, because Batman has to have some age on him. Thirties is okay if I can't have an old grouchy Bats. What's most important though, is what will he look like as a Batman figure?
  7. I'm definitely preordering the classic style Bats and Catwoman. I have a great affinity for those particular costumes. My only other purple Cat is from the DC Direct Knightfall years ago that bears a very Jim Balent style appearance.
  8. Thanks for the review, I also have a great love of all the Batman movies, including Forever and "And Robin." The Burton movies are still my favorites so more than likely this will be a pick up for me, despite the problems with Mattel. The sentiment that Mattel has made improvements on their Multiverse line but is still nowhere near Marvel Legends is accurate in my opinion. I bought the Batman Beyond and Gaslight Batman figures recently mainly because of my love of those characters, and they still have problems that yes, should have been corrected long ago. The paint on both is sloppy but because I had to buy them online (I haven't seen new Multiverse in my local stores since way last year sometime) returning them for exchanges was going to be too much of a hassle so I just accepted it as "good enough." That really is why I'm not sad Mattel is losing DC, and I am glad to see what Toddy Mc is going to produce, I feel like they'll want to start strong and show everyone what they can do. In the meantime, yeah, I'll probably pick up Pengy here despite it not being really what I'd like.
  9. I also did not go to the midnight release, but the next day I bought a buttload of figures, went home and opened them all. Later that night, a bunch of severe storms were going on in the area but I paid zero attention because at that moment, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul were having an intense lightsaber duel. I distinctly recall hearing severe storm warnings going off at that time. Then the power went off, and I could no longer see the loot of my pile of Star Wars figs. Don't remember if I went to bed then or not but we took no damage and everything was fine the next day. Such is the will of the Force.
  10. I felt the need to express my discontent with the finale of Gotham last night. While I accepted initially the show's premise and stuck with it knowing we'd never get what we wanted with it, I nonetheless enjoyed it over the years, especially when they would go back to their version of the Joker. The showrunners recently said in an interview that they were "keenly aware" of how viewers were disappointed with the finale episode of Smallville in that there really wasn't any shot of full-on Superman in the suit, implying they would not do that with Gotham. And yet, that is exactly what they did! The ads and trailers really ramped up a showdown with a full on Batman vs their full on Joker, but *SPOILERS* they did not deliver what what promised. I kept looking at the clock thinking, man, they've got 30 minutes to deliver...now 20 minutes....now 15 minutes...then their Joker and Harley started up, it was over just as fast. I found myself literally shaking my head in annoyance at the last shot of the series. Maybe that's just me, maybe I expected too much. But they went to the trouble of designing, creating the makeup, and promoting their Joker, and they did have a Batman suit according to another interview, so why feature them so little? It made me also realize I have a lot of unresolved anger from Smallville that apparently I've never dealt with. I suppose chuk the Gotham finale into the bin with various other disappointing last shows, along with Lost. Now I'll try to lower my expectations for the finale of GoT I guess.
  11. The Luke is very cool looking indeed. I've gotten away from collecting that scale though, I may wait for a 6" Black series version of that identical Last Jedi version.
  12. I'm interested to see them for sure. Hard to get super excited until getting an actual look though.
  13. It worked for me! I watched JayC's youtube channel for a while before registering for the forums primarily, yes, for the contest. And I won! But I also stuck around!
  14. I also tend to agree, if you can accept that this is "Joker" in name only and has more or less no connection to the Joker we know and love then it can be watched with a passing interest, just to see it for curiosity. I feel like I can already see the entire story line just in watching this trailer though, I feel like I don't want to sit through it, at least in the theater.
  15. I like the similarities of the Batmobile and Batwing designs to the 89 versions. So very cool, and if I still collected Lego I'd pick up those two sets for sure.
  16. Perhaps I'm in the minority about it, but I've never been a big fan of the CnC from any line, I would rather just buy a bigger figure on it's own as a deluxe or what have you. I usually find it annoying to either buy figs I don't want or to have extra effort to my lazy self to track down parts. I'm okay with it going away.
  17. Looks great! I've been a bit on the fence about whether to get this one because of never seeing him in person so I'd have to order him, but those shots look very moody and atmospheric. Cool.
  18. I won one of the recent drawings for $100 store credit and this is what I used it on, the Mondo Batman the Animated series 12" figure! It's awesome, I love it. It's a lot like an art model the animators would look at for reference when making the series. I took some simple pics and it's really fun to shoot. It's a great item if you have a love for that series and collect things specific to that version of the Bruce Timm Batman!
  19. I have mixed feelings. I have watched every single episode of Arrow despite not liking the recent seasons, and it feels like it is time to end the series on their own terms. I have high hopes for the Batwoman series and I do hope there is a way Oliver Queen can occasionally reappear on that show or others once in a while.
  20. I did likewise with the majority of my Star Wars collection. I was out of room and it was all in storage. There are things I kind of regret selling, but hey, that's collecting. We get in moods sometimes.
  21. Going to cherry pick Nightwing and John Stewart GL here, they look great. I saw the Batman Ninja movie...it was okay, but didn't impress me enough to want figs from it.
  22. I like the way you think. Here's hoping. I have purchased almost every Batman that Neca has made, and they're all some of my favorites. I would like to have these as a finale to Neca Bat-era so maybe they'll work something out for the rest of us.
