  1. ...Although my favorite actual purchase this year was finally obtaining DC Collectibles Batman the Animated Series Batmobile, which I had a long time wanted but missed. Great purchase, I love it. Still hoping McFarlane/DC Direct reborn will re-release this entire line.
  2. Bane from McFarlane Toys is definitely my favorite figure I've gotten this year. He looks great, and something I had hoped to be produced for quite a while.
  3. I like it a lot, it draws more than a little inspiration from some of the original concept art from the 1989 Batwing, if you have ever looked at some. I have a book on the making-of 89 and this design reminds me of some of that artwork.
  4. Mr. (or "Mister") Freeze is a definite get for me, that armor looks like it lines up with McF's articulation and as the Iceman wears an exterior armor codpiece proudly anyway, the crotch area is fine. Probably the same with Kingdom Come Bats. Not so much Catwoman or sleeker figs.
  5. Kingdom Come Bats looks really good, I feel the armored figures lean in to the cuts in the torso and crotch pieces that are McF's standard design elements for the line. Not distracting and seem natural on this one.
  6. Kalibak looks amazing, I hope the in-hand shows up as good-looking as the glamour shot. I remember him fondly from the Bruce Timm Superman:The Animated Series.
  7. Hmmm...upon seeing more photos of that Jim Balent Catwoman...well, I'm glad I don't need to cancel a preorder because of my newfound wait-and-see toy philosophy. Not liking the whole crotch area when posed.
  8. I get the need to start fresh, and jettison all the bad blood. He was a great Superman but it is time to move on.
  9. Knightfall classic Jim Balent-era Catwoman is my favorite, so even though I have other versions, she's a definite buy for me. I also have the DC Direct Kingdom Come Batman from years back, but that one is a pick up also. I like that weapons pack but I don't want to pay McF's site shipping so probably not unless there's a big sale or something. If I could get it for free shipping, then yes.
  10. I dunno, the Temple of Doom club Indy looks pretty good, but I'm pretty on the fence about these, despite that Raiders is right up there as my favorite film of all time. Seeing them out of the box in person might sway me, if indeed I ever did. I need a fortune and glory to pay these prices though.
  11. Agree, the head sculpt looks great on this one and the red and black scheme always grabs the eye.
  12. Sweet! I just opened my Bane and it's a blast fiddling around with him, getting him into the classic pose.
  13. Egghead looks egg-squisite! I haven't egg-xactly collected this line, but I will make an egg-ception for Vincent Price!
  14. I'm really wanting to see Keaton return, so I'm really glad this movie is not only being released, but even earlier! Will we get the Keaton Batmobile and Batwing toys by McF early also, I must wonder!
  15. It's okay and I get the tie-in with the DC VS Vampires storyline, but hard to tell in these types of glamour shots pics what he will really look like. I'm still hoping for that DC Direct Batman the Animated series style Vampire Batman that never came out.
  16. I preordered the Heath Ledger Joker 1/4 scale, glad for another chance at him.
  17. Really glad to see this, I preordered it. I don't have the updated versions of a couple and don't have Bullock at all. I certainly hope for more reissues of this line, it seems like a no-brainer for McF's DC Direct line. BTAS is still very popular and even if they only re-release, I welcome it. No tooling or new sculpts required. 'Course I would also like new figs too, but I'm happy to get another shot at the originals.
  18. Probably "figures not included" policy, which I can understand. $80 seems acceptable for a big in-scale Batmobile, I hope it's close to the same size as the BTAS Batmobile which I ended up finally getting one for a little over $100 recently. I love it, glad I finally got one, but I can do without the electronic lights that DC Collectibles put in it, as I have no real use for them. If McFarlane's team concentrates on scale and sculpt, creating an artsy piece but leaves out electronic lights or sounds, that will keep the price at least reasonable. I'm glad for reasonable these days.
  19. I dunno, I just can't really get too excited about anything that is a hassle to order anymore. I wanted that exclusive AzBats that McFarlane did for Walmart, it apparently came and went with no way to know when it when up for order and always shows out of stock. If I can order nice and simple, without a pain, maybe.
  20. I love the movie, it's right up there among my favorites. I have this figure on pre-order, looks good. I especially like the detachable chest blade symbol on it, and the unmasked portrait is really nice. Still keeping the preorder for now! I might change my mind at any second, but these photos look cool!
  21. These look really wild, and fun! Reminds me of He-Man more than the toys themselves in some ways! Hordak looks like my favorite, I would like to see it in real life, maybe as soon as Halloween starts showing up in the stores.
