  1. Does anyone have any version of Marvel Select Iron Man? I am requesting a comparison photo between MS Iron Man and the current Hasbro Marvel Legends figures. It seems all the Marvel Legends figures (even from the Toy Biz days) are undersized. I want to get a good version of Iron Man to pose alongside the new Marvel Legends Thor and Captain America figures... PharmV
  2. Do they have the blue Ghost Rider? (Is that considered the regular version?) PharmV
  3. I totally agree about Batman. I've never liked Batman being so buff like in the DC Classics line, so this slimmer YJ Batman was going to be my perfect version of Batman... PharmV
  4. I was in a similar situation a few years ago, although my collection was significantly smaller than yours (only 4 boxes, heh). I decided to sell what I could and give away the rest. I went back and bought trade paperbacks of my favorite stories (you get pretty good deals on Amazon). Nowadays, I still buy comics, but I give them away to my friend after I read them. I only keep the ones I really like, at least until the trade paperback comes out. So, I still enjoy the comics hobby, but I have lots more space! PharmV
  5. To be honest, either the original or Hulked-out Drax would have pegwarmed also. Drax just isn't popular at all. I do plan to get this Drax, if only because I liked the Annihilation story... PharmV
  6. S P O I L E R S I like it so far. It's an interesting addition to the mythos. I think it's pretty cool that Nightwing's circus is tied into the Court of Owls and that he was originally intended to be a Talon. I also like how Batman is not shown to be invincible (like he usually is) and barely escaped their lair. PharmV
  7. Looking forward to watching the last 4 episodes. Heh, I guess that Star Wars Comic-Con exclusive from a few years isn't a "what-if?" after all... PharmV
  8. I am down to Batman and Robin, Batman, and Aquaman. (I also check out all the Green Lantern titles because my friend is getting all of them.) I tried some other titles like Justice League, Adventure Comics, and Wonder Woman, but they didn't sustain my interest. On the toy-related side, I would like to see DC Classics figures of: - Damien (Batman's son) - Talon (the assassin from the current Batman storyline) - Green Lantern Sinestro (I think he's more interesting this way, rather than being a regular supervillain) - Bleez (a Red Lantern) PharmV
  9. Very nice, Jafflemaker! Can you take a pic with other LOTR just for a sense of scale? (I sold all my figures a long time ago.) PharmV
  10. Excellent custom, as always, Jin. I really like the tank! PharmV
  11. Very, very nice! Cyborg Superman is one of my favorite DC villains, too. Your custom puts mine to shame. I really like the cybernetic details you put in. PharmV
  12. Great review. I was on the fence, but I'm sold on this figure now. PharmV
  13. I like Iron Klaw, but I'm already working on my own custom of him. I'm just waiting to see what the final cost breakdown is. Honestly, while everyone wants to see the price at $8-10 per figure, we all know that just isn't financially feasible with such a low production run. However, $20-25 figure is a little steep in my opinion, especially when He-Man Classics figures run for like $20 on an online-only sales model. So, what would you like to see the cost per figure be, realistically? PharmV
  14. Hmm, I have the same issue with a custom He-Man torso I put together with some arms and legs from a couple of Marvel universe figures. I suppose you can coat the peg connecting the upper and lower torso together to thicken it and create more friction. However, I'm not sure what you can do if you already glued everything back together. PharmV
  15. I have question, so after you do the mods. Did you have to glue the pieces back together or did they just snap back on with no problem? They snapped back, but fell apart if you shook the figure too much, so I glued the pieces back on after I swapped out the desired parts. PharmV
  16. Very nice. I'm thinking about doing something similar. Did you use a Namor figure as the base? PharmV
  17. If you're still interested in Compound Hulk, Hasbrotoyshop just put some more up right now. PharmV
  18. I use a flat screwdriver and insert it into the back of a figure (going from torso up towards the head). Then I use a little force to crack the torso in half. Granted, I only did this on only two 25th figures, but it worked well without any parts breaking each time. PharmV
  19. Hrm, maybe that leaked list from two months ago is actually legit. In case you wanted to know what was on that list: If this is indeed the list, then I will be passing on the sub. There's only 3 or 4 figures I would be interested in. PharmV
  20. Good review. I think I've seen some of your reviews on the Allspark forums if you post there also. I'm still on the fence about Backfiery, though. I'm tempted to get it on the coolness of the robot mode alone, but I don't really care for the bug mode. PharmV
  21. Cool custom, but he looks incomplete without his handguns. @pun@ (All I remember about Grifter from the comics was that he was always shooting something up.) PharmV
  22. Ha ha, I remember the sonic guitar. Excellent custom. Will you be doing the bad guys too? PharmV
  23. Just saw the Street Fighter figures at TRU. They look so disappointing in person, in my opinion. Ryu and Ken have weird-looking chest sculpts. Ryu's face looks so off. The only figure that looks good to me is Sagat. Oh well, maybe wave 2 will be better. PharmV
  24. New Guardians is a good read for current Green Lantern fans, but I think it's not a very good #1 issue for new readers. It doesn't really explain why Kyle is a GL when Hal is running around, asides from the fact Ganthet chose him. It also doesn't explain what happened in the beginning when it looked like the GL Corps and the Guardians are all dead. (Everything seems fine in Green Lantern #1 and Green Lantern Corps #1.) Of the three Green Lantern issues, I think Green Lantern Corps was the best introductory issue for new readers. I got Aquaman #1 and was surprised that it was a pretty good introduction issue that shed a little light on Aquaman's backstory, showed off some of his powers, and introduced a new threat. PharmV
