When ever I go to Target or browse through the comic shop, I usually see the same figures (Battle Damaged Daredevil, Captain America, Rhino, Iron Man, Hulk, Doom). But this time at Target, I found a classic looking Spidey and Green Goblin. I've never seen these at stores and there was apparently just one in that new box. Since I wanted a regular looking Spidey I bought it. But I'm curious is this 2-pack rare or shortpacked? Or is it so cool that everyone buys it.

Yeah, when I got my first figures: Battle Damaged Daredevil and Bullseye, I thought they were fun but can't pose them like my Marvel Legends. But I came up with a system of paperclips to hold them... And I just got a Spidey & Green Goblin 2 pack so I know there's going to be webslinging action on my shelf.

Neat! Finally a good use of the Fantasticar piece (let's face only 1 segment isn't that cool).

I've yet to open my 3 pack so I might return it if I find this single card of Green Arrow... even then I want Dr Fate LoL. Might just customize it or something.

Batman: T A S, Vol. 2 + Superman: T A S Vol. 1
Supreme Convoy replied to 8speed's topic in DC Comics
I bought mine today! I went to Target with Batman at $35 and Superman at $20. Oddly, the 2 Wal-Marts I went to didn't have them at all. But at least there is a rebate on them for $10. -
Yeah, I would very much like a Jonah Hex figure! An animated and a DC Direct style one.
-
Wow, that's a cool looking figure. And one of them comes with a bat signal? Sweet deal!

Where's that Black/Gold Megazord from? And yeah, I just dug out some of my Power Rangers and I still love them. I brought out my Megazord, Dragonzord, Thunderzords, and a Japanese Shogunzord (still has his white componet rather than pink)

HOLY CRAP ON A STICK! Plus that Tim Sale Batman statue? Is DC trying to make me poor? April looks like it's gonna be an expensive one for me if I want those Superman/Batman figures. If I have spare money, I might pick up the Sale statue.

Just took a look at them and realized I don't have Flint/Baroness but Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow's PoP. Nonetheless they don't have "Battle Points" on them so I guess they're not valid. Come to think of it, I got my Agent Faces using the older ones like those because I had mostly those before Spytroops came out. Eh, there are some new figures out so I'll buy those and not risk it

I don't know if this has been addressed before, but I still have proof of purchases from GI Joe vs Cobra (Duke/Cobra Commander and Flint/Baroness packs). Do those still count as points? Or are they void of any value?

If you do subscribe, I'd think you can buy the issue in the comic shop for the mean time. Once you get it in the mail, bring it to the shop and tell them the situation and they might take it back. All in honesty? I would really subscribe to it since we can get all our toy news here. But it does feed those toy gazing fixes when you don't have a computer on hand.

You know that's not a bad idea... if they ever make a Solomon Grundy figure, I can re-enact the fight from Brad Meltzer's Green Arrow: Archer's Quest.
-
I was thinking about that. But that would mean I would have 2 of them. Maybe one can be the evil Green Arrow... nah, that's lame. Probably it'll be up to customizing if I get that single pack Green Arrow. Perhaps Kingdom Come's Red Arrow? (Then I run into the same problem of no bow, what a vicious cycle LoL)

Robin: Er... the Penguin did it. or Robin: Look what I found! Giant soda bottles to go with that giant penny!
-
Hm... and I remember a longbow hunter Batman figure. Maybe I can find one loose of anyone of those figures somewhere.

So finally I got bit by the JLU bug. Over at TRU they had the JLU 3 packs! I wasn't too into them at first because initially I wanted to collect the older 90s Batman figures. But once I saw that Green Arrow with Dr Fate and Flash, I couldn't say no! Then I found Elongated Man with Batman and Hawkgirl! I'm kinda bummed they don't come with weapons so Green Arrow is bowless for now (anyone with recommendations?) and no mace for Hawkegirl. But these figures are pretty cool nonetheless! Now I gotta find a Superman, Wonder Woman, some villains and a Speedy & Robin for sidekicks!

Clearer Pics Of 1/6 Scale Chris Reeve Superman
Supreme Convoy replied to MeanStreak's topic in DC Comics
Wow, those are good looking figures. Michael Keaton (what you can see at least) and Chris Reeve's faces are accurate looking. -
I have the Batman one and a few of the Spidey Classic ones... Very cool stuff

I bought the first issue. While I like the art, some of it just flew over my head. I had lots of "WTF" moments trying to get into it. Maybe if I have spare cash, I'll pick up the rest out of interest. Though I would like to get into the 80s run.

I love GI Joes, but since a good chunk of my movie figures are 6 inches, I'd like some Army of Darkness figures in the same size. I'd love super possable figures instead of McFarlanes versions.

Come to think of it, I have playing cards from Batman Returns... now I gotta dig them up!

Which Costume Is Cooler Comic Deathstroke Or Tv
Supreme Convoy replied to Lord Amron's topic in DC Comics
Personally, I like the comic version. It's like Captain America gone evil with the chainmail. -
I don't know about emailing, I'd try phoning in.

I thought it was pretty cool in Kill Bill, the Bride was wearing a yellow jumpsuit in tribute to Bruce Lee from Game of Death. And when I spotted this Bruce Lee figure by Art Asylum from that very movie and the Kill Bill figures were announced, I went apes***! I thought it would be awesome to have these figures as a kung fu movie tribute. The Bruce Lee figure was pretty easy to find since it wasn't in demand, but the Bride was hard as hell to find at an affordable price. Finally I found her and here they are... It's pretty cool who ever designed the Bride's suit since it's almost accurate (given it's now a biker suit). And the shoes are even the same! The coolest accessory, the Hanzo Sword! I'll have to take pics of Daredevil or Elektra wielding it. The Bruce Lee figure is slightly bigger, but it sorta works out. Honestly, the Bride is a bit lacking since her face looks weird. It's mostly because of poor paint application. So her head only looks good at this angle (like the boxart). Overall, I'm pleased with these figures. They're not super possable, but together like the first pic on my shelf it just looks so damn cool.
