  1. It's the same Blade trenchcoat but with more stuff attached to it.
  2. Now that's some good thinking! I don't have Gambit, but I can probably bum it off my friend for a while to see how it looks.
  3. I just tried Reed's coat and it looks terrible on him LoL. I think it's because the white trenchcoat is associated with a scientist. I also managed to get Blade's coat on but that also looked weird. Hm, if I don't know if it comes off but the coat on DC Direct's John Constatine looks like it could work. It looks like vinyl so it could be painted blue.
  4. I was optimistic about The Batman cartoon, but slowly I stop caring. I think this takes the cake.
  5. Hm, I don't have that figure. I think it's too big, but the only thing close is Reed's lab coat which I do have... now that might work.
  6. Just picked up DC Direct's The Question figure and I'm loving the guy! I just got into the Denny O'Neil run (I don't quite like the current mini-series), so this figure is a must for me. The only thing it's missing is his trenchcoat. Any recommendations on a possible coat I could use? I couldn't quite get ML Blade's trench coat on but it looks too leathery anyways.
  7. 1. I think it just caused some kinda major anyerusm (spelling?) 2. The real question is why the image on his face constantly changes. Once in awhile, a few of his faces actually match and people have suggested it represents and emotion
  8. JLA: Earth 2 is awesome. I would love to see Morrison/Quitely's version of the CSA as action figures.
  9. While I do have Zipline Bats.... I'm growing fond of the Batsignal one. I might buy both of them!
  10. It would be slick. Not only that, but I would like to see Max Fliescher's version of Superman from the 40s as a super possable action figure too!
  11. He does look great... but the ML/DC Direct fan in me wants him in the 6inch scale and superpossable.
  12. I think some of these are cool. But a few of them have their legs warped so they can't stand really. So I might have to heat them and adjust.
  13. I'm into Alias so I was all about these figures. I bought Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn. I'm a huge fan of the show so I had to get these figures. But compared to Marvel Legends, they're decent at bast. But I'm deeply disappointed with Sloane. He does look like he's about to fart or something. These figs are for serious fans at best. I wouldn't recommend them for Jennifer Garner gawkers.
  14. I asked this on another board, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here... So I finally got a copy of Flash #217 for the IC tie-in (a great issue by the way) and there's a scene between Flash and Batman where the Flash says, "Tell Tim what you told Dick the day he left to join the Titans. In all these years, you only said it once. But it meant more to him than anything else in his entire life." I'm curious, what did Bruce say to Dick? Note: As you can see on the above link, people had some smart comments like "What happens in the Batcave, stays in the Batcave." As much as I like goofing around, I'd really like to know the real answer.
  15. Is Krypto the same dog that Bibbo saved in Return of Superman (or World Without a Superman)? In anycase, yes Krypto has been active in the comics. Most recently, he's popped up in Hush (as mentioned before). And in Teen Titans, Superman gave Superboy Krypto to take care and learn responibility.
  16. Yep, cheap busts! I'd like a Batman one.
  17. Awesome, just got some more figures! I found the Aquaman/Wonder Woman/Batman pack and the single carded Atom! While I'm not fond of this version of Wonder Woman (extra stuff painted on her), it'll do for now and at least she comes with Aquaman! Now that I have Elongated Man and the Atom, I can re-enact Identity Crisis to a certain extent
  18. Interesting take... but it's still weird looking.
  19. Edit: More hi-res images are up. http://toynewsi.com/index.php?catid=10&itemid=6092 Alex Ross Figures JLA Giftpack I think I might get the Alex Ross Batman since I just got War on Crime (and might as well get Rosss' Superman figure). And a classic looking Aquaman! I gotta get that and Flash. And it's cool DC Direct are making more Bat figures.
  20. when did that happen?!!?!!? I think it was called Son of the Demon, I forget. I've heard the baby is somewhat written out of continuity. But this baby might grow up to be Ibn al Xu’ffasch, aka "Son of the Bat" in Kingdom Come. And yeah, in the movie, Wantanbe is the decoy. And apparently, Ducard is a real character in the comics according to Wizard. Though I've never heard of him until the new Batman movie.
  21. Basically it's to get the public attentions toward comics. The date of Free Comic Book Day is usually schedule around a comic book movie (first Spidey, Hulk, Spidey 2, and now Batman Begins I believe) so there's a greater interest. Comic shops buy cases of these comics (basically samplers) and give them away for people to try out. The hope is to get that new person who's never been to a comic shop coming back. Some retailers even set up signings from creators to show up that day. And check out their official site at freecomicbookday.com
  22. Yeah, for Superman's Disc 2 and 3 they are double sided. I just realized it when I opened it right now. I suppose it's to save money since Superman doesn't have as many episodes as Batman (at least this volume) but it just increases the chances for screwing it up.
