  1. My wallet literally just came to life, told me to go f#@% myself then jumped out the window while flipping me off as I read your post ? I'm cool with the announcement being "Hey guys I hope you enjoyed all the stuff we brought you so now we're giving you a year to catch up and take a breather!" ...It could happen..... ?
  2. I started collecting when I was trying to cope with my depression after girlfriend dumped me and I dropped out of college and I was trying to fix my MMORPG addiction lol so I needed a hobby to keep me sane. That show is the reason I always liked Iron Man and why I was so disappointed in the 3rd movie, I really hope they do a true Mandarin before RDJ steps down. I wonder how I'm going to manage having 3 different conversations now in this thread lol
  3. I'm still pretty sick and just got done writing another essay in the Titans thread so this may be short as I feel pretty dizzy already lol I'll probably wait on SOTAs for a bit and see what Storm and SHF are bringing out and maybe put a few here and there down the road. Those shows were most definitely on Fox Kids lol though I'm not sure on our ages so maybe it started on another channel but I'm 32 and was probably in middle school when I started watching those shows and we didn't have cable or satellite, we only had 4 channels, Fox, NBC, ABC, and PAX and none of them came in all that well lol But I'm certain that Fox had those shows because it was the only channel I ever watched my shows on. after school I'd come home everyday and watch Young Hercules, Digimon, Spider-man, and the rest always changed, Beetle Borgs, Power Rangers, Mystic Knights lol I knew one with a pretty extensive barbie and beanie baby collection lol I'd be for an animated version of Dinosaurs Attack but animation is so different these days, it may look like it was all hyped up on cocaine lol I'm more used to anime conventions, I almost went to SDCC when I lived down there but I ended up moving. And yeah all of my old friends act extremely "adult" I guess? lol Its weird, they all have jobs, kids, and they all look and act like life just beat the s%$& out of them lol Nobody wants to just come over and chill or hang out anywhere anymore. And back to the girl thing, most girls I meet just want to settle down and get married or want help raising their kid and here I am with more of the high school mindset of just wanting a cool girl to hang out with lol I'll be honest, I haven't messed much with the Storm accessories, I just like playing with them and seeing them with other figures lol Let us all know if he was able to get them for you, it would be cool to know that there may be a stock increase for people who missed out. Shouldn't be that hard to slim up the ninja girls unless thats the aesthetic they are going for. Well, I collect a lot of 3rd party transformers so you'ld be amazed at the size and quality of a figure you can get for $200 or so also they could always make the dragon hollow like the throne to bring down the price. Yeah, I always save this thread for last now cause it takes so long to write lmao well its shorter but still took about the same amount of time, oh well ?
  4. my SDCC one is on the floor next to my rock band set covered in spider webs ? I'm working on cleaning up my entire collection and they way I have stuff displayed but man its hard when theres so little room lol I still can't seem to find this guy online, just the older releases and everyone who has one is so secretive lol
  5. I was lucky enough to watch it before all the hype started, if I had waited a few months I probably would have skipped it myself lol
  6. Yeah I was kind of looking foward to her at first but after everything thats been said about her price and lack of accessories I agree shes not worth it.
  7. Videogames were actually my passion way before comics and action figures but like you said there werent many game figures out that were cool so I eventually moved on to other things and now I collect a bunch of stuff but I'm with you the stuff that Storm has been making has really hit my inner child and I definitely get more excited for these figures over any other.
  8. Your probably right but as a fan that makes me sad lol Its like prices keep going up but quality keeps going down.
  9. I probably watched more hours of videos debating The Last Jedi than the movie itself lol Like you have have many feelings and ideas about it and its tough because they did a lot right while doing a lot wrong. Still that last shot absolutely kills the movie for me though, damn kid... lol
  10. Dreamcast was my favorite for a long time, it was also the first console I could go online with which back in the day was amazing. I remember being in middle school and all my friends coming over cause my parents didnt know that it could use the internet so there were no parental locks so may friends were always trying to find porn lol But yeah that system is what started my love for fighting games, before that I had only really played MK4. It was definitely a planned thing, I mean who does that? lol It takes way more effort to post a single sentence 3 times than to type 3 sentences in one post.
  11. lol I know how that is, though I've been sick the past 2 days from Taco Bell food poisoning ?
  12. lol I have a silly theory about the Infinity Gauntlet. So back when Odin was trying to conquer the 9 realms he decided that he wanted a way to wield all the infinity stones and he called upon Eitri to forge him a weapon and so Eitri went to work making the gauntlet and brought the prototype to Odin for his approval and Odin was like "I like it but could you put it on the left hand instead?" and by the time Eitri made the final gauntlet Odin was all about bringing peace so Eitri just held onto it until Thanos came and took it but thats why you see the mold from the other hand in Infinity War.
  13. I can only speak for myself but from what I gather it really doesn't seem like anyone in this thread has a problem with the race of this actress and it is almost solely an issue with the design choices for the character. I will say that for me personally I do wish they had cast a different actress because to put it simply she does't not look like the character (and don't give me the whole "So what your only going to be happy if they cast an actual alien with green eyes and orange skin?" crap). Robin looks like Robin, Beast Boy looks like Beast Boy, Raven Looks like Raven, I don't see anyone saying that Starfire looks like Starfire, the most positive thing I've seen is "just give the actress a chance!" So basically what they are saying is as long as the acting is good then they could care less about accuracy when the rest of the cast is pretty much spot on, right? I get it, everyone should have a chance to be whoever or whatever they want regardless of gender or race and I would agree with that in all aspects and fields except when it comes to the portrayal of an existing character in film or tv. A character that has a backstory and a history that fans have been following for decades, if you change a person's look, personality, or ethnicity too much you are taking away their identity. Lets go back to my earlier statement about how I thought this portrayal of Starfire looks like Oprah, Lets say they want to make a bio-pic about Orpah and the casting director picks Zendaya because shes a big name and they think she will bring in younger audiences over this actress who was fantastic in her audition and looks the part. Would you say thats fair? Is it fair that a person who does not look the part at all gets picked over someone who was excellent and looks the part? Or hell, if you want to play the race card what if Emma Stone got the role because she had a spot on Oprah impression and could fully embody the actual person and the studio decided to change the whole story so that Oprah is a white woman instead, is that ok? As long as she embodies the overall personality and characteristics of the original person its perfectly fine right? Its not about race its about looks. Valkyrie was fine because as a lot of you have mentioned she was saved by the original Valkyrie even though technically thats a bit of a cop out too but I still appreciate that they acknowledged the original and basically just created a new character which is totally fine. Domino should have had the pale white skin because its a skin condition caused from her mutation and the spot is her tattoo from when she was a test subject. (on a side note, I always thought of it as the white spot on her eye was her mutation manifesting so by the next movie it would have spread to the rest of her body and then she just gets a black tattoo over her eye again cause she liked the look or whatever). I have no problem with either of these actresses and I think they were excellent in both movies because they fit the characters they were meant to play, Domino more so obviously. You wouldn't cast Tom Hanks as Captain America? would you? Hes plenty patriotic. Rebel Wilson as Wonder Woman? Shes all for women's rights and female empowerment. How about James Earl Jones as Darth Vader? As in actually in the suit and in a scene where his mask is off. Would you honestly watch a Star Wars cinematic movie In an epic scene where Vader rips off his helmet to show that hes a badass and as soon as the mask comes off there is James Earl Jones in all his glory. I'll be honest, I do want to see that but not in an actual Star Wars movie, it wouldn't fit, Darth Vader is Anakin who is a white dude. So you see, even the actual voice of Darth Vader can't physically play that character because he doesn't fit the description. I'd even argu that I wouldn't want Kevin Conroy to play a live action Bruce Wayne/Batman, if it was a spoof or on a tv show sure but an actual Batman movie? I'd want a guy who looks like Batman (of course this is also due to age, if you look at pics from when he was younger he totally could play him). Lets take it a little further, I assume we all collect toys of some sort here and we all complain if a figure doesn't look like the character, we're always saying "I'm not buying that, it looks nothing like the character" "I hate the design choice" "what did they do to the face" "jeez look at the hips on that figure" So its ok to be critical and hate on a figure that looks nothing like the actual character but its not ok to hate on an actor for not looking like the character? Why? because they are real and have feelings? I'm sure the people who designed the figures have feelings also. Should we all just buy these figures we don't like because at least they tried? Would you pay $100+ for a figure or statue of your favorite character if it was sub par and looked nothing like the character you love? If not then why should we pay for a DC subscription to watch an inaccurate portrayal of a character that we love? Maybe I'm in the minority here but all I know is if I had a movie or tv show made about my life I would want the person playing me to look as close to me as possible.
  14. The original Hellboy movies are some of my favorite comic movies, I was really hoping for a 3rd but I have high hopes for this. Its a good show, waaaay too overhyped though but if you have time give it a shot, you might enjoy it.
  15. Man I've always wanted a Spoiler but shes so small. The Harley still looks stocky like I mentioned before and now that I noticed the wrists I cant unsee them anymore...
  16. Are there any images of these figures and do we know what line they are meant to fit in or are they their own line?
  17. I heard about this early, on one hand I'm glad, I always loved going to Toys R Us but on the other hand... more TRU exclusives!!! ?
  18. Yeah it really is hard to engage in a conversation when the person your talking to isnt as knowledgeable or doesnt really care but sometimes you just have to take what you can get lol Damn I've been so busy I keep putting this topic off cause I know it takes so long to write ?If you don't mind I'm gonna try to condense it and make it a little more manageable lmao After I saw those SOTA figures I seriously was about to purchase them because they look so good but luckily I was able to restrain myself.. for now ? I'm not sure about the Hulk but Spider-man, X-Men, Iron Man, Fantastic 4, and The Silver Surfer were all on fox kids except only Spider-man and X-men aired during the week I believe. I also was never a big fan of X-men Evolution. I've known some girls who were way worse with their collections lol but yeah theres nothing wrong with sharing the same passions as long as you arent both competing over finances and all that. I want to see an actual Dinosaurs Attack movie where thats kind of along the lines of Final Destination. ? Well I've only gone to a con with a group of friends once before, but I typically just went with my brother which is still fun but different compared to going with a lot of people. I do wish cons were more toned down. Yeah Reptile was my favorite for a long time before I learned about the lesser known ninjas. Like I mentioned before I always thought until recently that the con exclusives base price were $90 so thats what I paid for them, I guess now that I know it stings slightly but I'm still glad I have them. I still really like the Mezco sculpt for Kitana, I think Storm is going for a thicker bulkier sculpt style which I'm not really a fan of, it works for Street Fighter but not so much for Mortal Kombat so I'm with you, I hope they slim them down a bit. Yeah I'm only hear for the conversation and the new figure updates. Its really refreshing compared to the "why do you keep buying that junk? your wasting all your money!" lmao the BAF is an interesting idea but I agree I don't see too many people picking up every single figure just to complete it. I was of a different mind that since Shao Khan was way more affordable than their original price that I had hopes that Storm would find a way to make the dragon affordable also. I've noticed that there arent that many different people posting but it does make it more manageable to respond lol Well that took about 45 minutes this time so we're getting better! lol
  19. This is exacly what would have made this figure more desirable with what we're getting its hard to justify it no matter how good the quality is plus I doubt its any better than your typical S.H. Figuarts.
  20. Thats an awesome collection, I can tell your main thing seems to be fighting games so thats really badass. I always wanted to collect some of the older figures but I didn't have much funds at the time so I had to pick and choose between what lines I really wanted to collect but I just couldnt pass up on Storm lol
  21. Marvel vs Capcom 2, Soul Calibur, and Dead or Alive 2 were my main games back when the Dreamcast was my main system so I played them religiously and unlocked everything till I actually had to stop playing cause it hurt my hands too much lol I wonder if they are all going to disappear now that the contest ended. And yeah it has to be the same person, posting like that is not a normal thing unless its to bump a post or because someone has something else to say thats completely different from the last post. This is really the first time I've ever seen so many "people" post 3 times in every topic which is annoying. But will say I am guilty of saying that I want to get a certain thing in a post lol
  22. Yep its just goes back to the whole creative vision thing messing everything up and it doesnt help that a lot of these actors and actresses are actually great in their roles but they could be perfect if they had better designs. As far as Valkyrie, I absolutely loved her in the movie all up until she switches her costume, I'm not a fan of their grey space suits that looked like they came out of the Willy Wonka tv room. I don't even see her as the true Valkyrie, just one of the others, in my mind at least lol
  23. lol I remember being disappointed that there wasn't anything in the box.
  24. Yeah, I'm not entirely sure if Constantine's show is even considered canon or if they just brought in the actor and thats it but I always saw it connected in my mind at least. ?
